Absolutely not. This place has great food, but an overall terrible experience. Every single time, I have ordered to go. Today, I waited 30+ minutes after the time it said my order would be ready. For 2 tacos, a quesadilla, and queso. In addition to that, the worker was rude about it stating that it was my fault that I showed up early. If the food is not going to be ready when it says, then don't say it can be ready earlier. Be realistic about things. I also find the website very difficult to navigate. Last, I do think it's a little overpriced for the food and experience. I will not be back and I don't recommend this spot. read more

Have always enjoyed coming to Rusty Taco for the great food, fast service, and fun environment. However, we came in for lunch at noon and were the only people in the whole place but still waited almost 40 minutes for food. When my husband asked what the hold up was, they claimed they were "prepping food" but like I said, we were the only customers in there at the time and for at least 10-15 minutes after ordering. The girl taking the orders would just stand behind the counter on her phone waiting for more customers to come in instead of helping in the kitchen. It wasn't until my husband said something that she jumped in and started helping. Very frustrating. Not sure that we'll be back, which is disappointing because it has always been one of our favorite places. read more

The food is okay, but the service is deplorable at best. Our nachos never came and when we asked for a refund, the lady was so rude about it. Not only did she insinuate that we were lying about buying the nachos, but she kept trying to offer to just make the nachos. But we were done, so we didn't want the nachos. We just wanted the nachos. I go here almost every Taco Tuesday! And a lot of Saturday lunches. The vibe is casual and fun. And they serve up THE ONLY premixed margaritas I'll drink! Here's the deal... they actually put a descent amount of tequila in the mix. We buy them to go, without ice, then add ice at home. Soooo good. Then there's the food. I love the Roast Pork taco and grilled Baja Shrimp taco. My hubby likes the RUSTY and Piccadillo. All of these tacos can be made into a bowl. Yum. When in Lincoln, check it out. read more

We happened to go to Rusty Taco on Tuesday, which features $2 tacos and $2 tecate. I had a picadillo taco, a grilled fish taco, a fried chicken taco, and a potato breakfast taco. Each was unique and flavorful. We had a larger group which included 4 adults and 3 kids under 5. We started the meal off with salsa and queso, both of which were pretty generic. The chips were good though. The staff was accommodating, and the kids liked their tacos. It's ironic to me that Rusty Taco took over the lease of another taco shop (Wahoo's Fish Taco). We shall see if Lincoln's appetite for street tacos is greater than it's appetite for fish tacos. read more

I've been fortunate to have great street tacos across the US. I would like to say that these are good "for Lincoln" but that's even a stretch. By comparison, even Voodoo Taco in Omaha beats Rusty, hands down. Any vegetables and lettuce or cabbage are sparse and bland. The sauces are bland. The pork taco and beef "brisket" tacos are particularly bad -- just a slab of moist meat like you'd get out of a crock pot, with hardly anything else in there. Something a twelve year-old could make at home and call a "street taco". The chicken was extraordinarily bland. The fish and shrimp tacos are the best they have. If I have to go back again out of boredom or desperation, I'd just get those. read more

If I could summarize Rusty Taco in a word, it would be "delish!" There are tons of options, and breakfast tacos served all day! There are several veggie options as well. We tried almost everything on the menu over the course of 4 visits, and we enjoyed everything. The potato, egg, and cheese taco was a fave, along with the Rusty Taco. It's essentially a cochinita pibil taco: pork marinated in achiote, served with pineapple. The queso is also pretty good! Everything is like $3 or less, and there are 3 salsas in a mini fridge next to the soft drinks. The orange one is espicy!! Definitely check this place out...if you like tacos, you won't be disappointed! And if you don't like tacos, you will after eating here. read more

We were visiting from out of town and looked for dinner near our hotel. This is a cute little place that smelled great on entering. We ordered takeout and that went great. On time, hot and correct made a great impression. The only (pretty big) issue is they don't indicate spice level on the menu. We each had an item that was a lot spicier than anticipated; flavor was good, but unexpected spice for sure. We would definitely eat here again though. read more

The spot actually got my order wrong. I ordered two tacos - Roasted Pork Taco and the Beef fajita Taco. They added lettuce on one of my tacos that was not listed on the menu and then gave me the Rusty Taco by mistake for the other. However, they were understanding and fixed my order quickly. Fourth visit and finally reviewing. I know this place is about tacos, but MAN, am I in love with the black beans. Chock full of flavor, onions, cilantro, cheese, tomatoes and other goodies. A little spicy, which I barely taste due to my tolerance. I also love the Baja shrimp taco, and the steak and beef tacos. Pricing is well. Guacamole is decent. Chips taste homemade and are on the thicker side. I usually get two tacos and an order of beans, but think I need to up the ante and add another taco tonget truly full. As it is, I'm satisfied after eating (which is a better goal than being full, I suppose). I haven't been disappointed yet and just received my GrubHub order for lunch. Also not a bad environment for eating in with co workers. Haven't tried the drinks. Service is friendly. Hope they stick around! The rudest staff in the world. The girl with the short brown hair who works at the front was so mean to me and my friends. I couldn't tell if it was because we were the only people of color in the restaurant but she was speaking to us like she didn't care about our business. We will definitely not be coming back here and would not recommend anybody else. The servers should be nice and courteous and shouldn't make guest feel horrible for no reason. The owner was actually tending the bar area where I sat. He shared the story of starting this restaurant, and seems like a legit good guy. I hope they have great success! I tried three different tacos and all of them were great. Sauces are made in house and I liked each that I tried. I did put potatoes on one taco to try and they were underdone, but as quick as they got my food out, I doubt they would have time to cook the potatoes. Everything tasted fresh. Great atmosphere! Start with the guac but don't anticipate sharing. Get all three salsas and take the suggestions from the counter. I don't eat red meat and they were super accommodating in making modifications to other tacos to suit my palate. Don't leave without getting the rusty taco and prepare for a generous helping of meat and a balanced toppings to tortilla ratio. Chips are made IN HOUSE as with the salsa. These are just a bit bigger than street taco size, so keep that in mind when determining your hunger level. read more

Absolutely 4+ stars. Had the fried chicken, fish and veggie tacos. Fish and Veggie Tacos were top notch, while the chicken was very good. All tacos were full of good stuff and appropriately messy. Guacamole and chips were fresh and on point. Definitely recommend. I'm going back to Rusty Taco. read more
