If you're camping in Kettle Moraine, Rustix is a solid option for a hot meal. When you walk in, you see the packed bar to your left and video slots to your right. Keep walking and you'll see a nicer seating area where families drop in. I ordered the cowboy burger and inhaled it. Really delicious and juicy. The french fries look like the love child of curly fries and steak fries. I loved 'em. The kids meal was very generous with a huge helping of their awesome fries. My 6-year-old was freaked out that the hot dog bun was more of a sandwich roll, but I told him "that's how they do it in Wisconsin." After a few skeptical nibbles, he was on board. I enjoyed the cheese curd cubes, but $10 is insane for 12 1-inch cubes. Save your money. The servers were generally terse and businesslike. You don't always have high hopes for food in a town of 2,000 people, but Rustix was a treat. I'd return if I'm visiting.

I was off on a Monday, so I thought I'd try a local business. My luck, they had two dollars off all Burgers. I was in the mood for some blue cheese so I got a black and blue burger, along with their little ditties they call twister fries. The burger was nice and fresh, cooked to a medium, and it came on a nice brioche bun. The blue cheese had an awesome twang, along with the blackened burger seasoning. The fries were super hot and crispy and had a good potato flavor. I also added some grilled onions, because I was in the mood for something oniony as well. The bartender/server was friendly and very attentive. I will definitely be back when I'm in the mood for a nice lunch. Great job, Rustix.

Have come here for a couple years now and have always had great service with amazing food. I highly recommend their cheese curds and their pizzas are always great too. Service is friendly, especially when Bunny the bartender is working. Highly recommend this place if you're in Eagle or passing through!

Whoops this is mostly eaten already..ha! Shrimp in front, Walleye in back.

Solid Fish fry. Got the shrimp, decent, but bf's Walleye was yummier, not that the shrimp was bad mind you. Good breading, good portion sizes. Sour Cream n Chive fries are the only side dish to get. Period. Comes with a creamy ranch for dipping! I usually don't go for flavored fries and bf goes potato pancakes (Rustix' PP's are ok) ...yet, we both agree these fries are a must do. Only meh on the Soups...bf had clam chowder..me Baked French Onion. Good, not great...I'll roll up a salad with that tasty ranch next go! Nice that you get soup/salad with fish fry, btw!! That isn't always a given on Friday Fish Fry establishments. Lil Ramekin time ... Tarter sauce = Yum, Apples = Yum, Coleslaw = ok (I do like the caraway seed in it) ...wish it was a lil more than what we get, but I dig me some slaw... Great canned/bottled beer selection!

Mike is an AMAZING bar tender, makes a wicked bourbon old fashioned, and will guide you through the extensive beer menu with ease.

This place is an hour away, but the scenic route to Lake Geneva makes it worth the drive. In contrast, city traffic can take an hour and a half, even longer during peak hours. We visited twice, and during our second reservation, we couldn't resist making a third reservation for next month! As you can see in the pictures on their website, the food is beautifully presented, and each dish is unique and incredibly delicious. The prices are also very reasonable, which is a huge plus for us. We're talking amazing food at a reasonable price! Highly recommended! 5 stars!!

From the start, the minimal yet well appointed decor was perfect for this venue. Front of the house waitstaff was incredibly knowledgeable of the exquisite menu and its preparation. This matched the waitresses depth of understand the wine offering. Now to the back of the house which highlighted a sparkling white open kitchen directed by Chef Eric. His 5 course menu could match any Chicago or Milwaukee fine dining restaurant. Each plate was artistically created pairing color, texture and taste. 5 Stars..... this is a gem of a fine dining experience just a few minutes west of Lake Geneva. Did my best to take a photo of the menu as well as the dishes. You will not be dissatisfied. The pacing it's prefect to get us to the next door Belfry Music Theater just in time.

Awesome experience! My wife and I visited on a Wednesday for her birthday. We were warmly greated…read moreand seated immediately (we were a little early for our reservation). It's a pretty dark, steakhouse, vibe inside with old school Frank Sinatra-esque music in the background. The service level here was perfect, I love a place where the staff plays zone and if someone notices something then they cover it seamlessly. Nick was our server and took great care of us. we tried the following: Drinks - I had a dirty gin martini and my wife had a captain and diet (her go to) and both were perfectly mixed. Appetizers - We were really looking forward to the buratta appetizer, but it had just gone off menu, so we went with the goat cheese that replaced it, which was good (but I would cut down the number of sun-dried tomatoes by 1/3). My wife ordered the onion soup and really enjoyed it. Mains - My wife had the filet and said it was the best she has had in a long while. I am a sucker for lamb and wasn't feeling like a steak, so that is what I went with. Both were amazing and we both had mashed potatoes. Mine also came with carrots with a demi-glaze. Everything was delicious. Dessert - The restaurant was kind enough to serve my wife a complimentary dessert for her birthday. It was amazing, but we were so full we could only manage a few bites. Will definitely be back!!

It was an early seating 5:00. We were guided through a fairly empty dining room to the upstairs room. There was one couple already seated in an otherwise empty room. We were seated immediately next to them..... we may as well have been sitting at their table. I not only thought this strange but actually a bit rude. But, I did not make an objection. The food at this restaurant is always good and the wild game selection along with the specials are usually the good bets. In the past the wine list was more cost friendly but still not bad. My only criticism of the menu is the rather limited appetizer selection. Our entrees were very good but overall the experience was stilted by the poor judgement of the hostess serving us.

Service was pleasant enough but s-l-o-w. Restaurant was not busy but there was one large party of about a dozen which seemed to overwhelm the two servers. For the entire time we were there we didn't see any front of house staff (manager, host, bussers) other than two servers. Cleanliness was poor. We were there for over an hour and tables near us were not cleared or cleaned at all. Dirty dishes with leftover food sitting on them for the duration of our meal. Food all over the floor. Not an appetizing atmosphere. All-in-all poor value for the money.

That is one of my favorite dishes at most Italian restaurants. This looked like boiled chicken breasts, no color at all. The "lemon" sauce was like water and did not taste like lemon at all. More like vinegar. The "grilled"asparagus was sitting in the water and tasted boiled, not grilled. Mashed potatoes were decent, but sitting in a bowl of watery sauce did not help. Do not order this if you are expecting traditional Piccata. The angel hair pasta with "marinara" sauce my husband ordered was very bland, it was more like canned regular tomato sauce stirred into pasta...no joke. We wonder if there is a different owner, and cook. The nice young man who was our server was very good. We will not be back, and that is sad aswe liked it before.
