    Ice cream for lunch
    Natalie C.

Stopped for lunch after hiking nearby with my toddlers. The kids opted to have ice cream for lunch (chocolate). I had an orange float (I forgot how much I love floats) and BLT sandwich. Food was good and reasonably priced. Next time I'll check out the store!

Very cute and cozy store attached to the restaurant. Downstairs is lunch and dinner service and upstairs is breakfast until 11 am. The broasted half chicken is delicious and is only served on Sundays. The ladies were very sweet and showed us tons of games to play.

First time here…read more Food: There was a menu board near the entrance showing several holiday themed items, including pumpkin spiced pancakes and waffles. I like a good waffle, and they had a couple of variations on the menu. I asked if it was Belgian style, with the deep pockets to capture all that extra butter and syrup, and it was. It came out nice and hot. For me it was a bit too soft, as I tend to like my waffles cooked a little crispier, similar to how I like my potato pancakes. Still very tasty. My friend ordered the House Omelet, which was also very good. Service: Everyone was super friendly and helpful. As soon as I arrived, they acknowledged me and let me know I could sit anywhere. They were patient while we chatted and were not focused on the menu right away. Great service throughout the entire meal. They kept checking in to make sure I had hot water for my tea and refills of coffee. Thanks, Symara (sp?). Atmosphere: The place is small and cozy, with a counter, tables, and booths. It was about half full, with individuals and pairs spread throughout the room. You could tell this is a spot with regulars, as people were chatting between tables. The decor was festive with holiday decorations. There is a TV on the wall showing the morning news, but it did not appear to have the volume on. Near the entrance there are a couple of video poker machines. I am not a fan of those. I find them distracting to look at and annoying when someone is playing them. Overall, a good experience, and I would stop again.

The staff are friendly and the dining room is cozy, comfortable, and styled! We appreciate the Rooster motif! Presentation seemed to be something the cook considerably performed! The wrap lacked Ranch dressing, but not the greens and chicken, Oh Boy! The Mac and cheese needed more cheese than the garnish I got with mine! The waffle was awesome and the chicken tenders. We would love to come back at breakfast time!

Awesome experience! My wife and I visited on a Wednesday for her birthday. We were warmly greated…read moreand seated immediately (we were a little early for our reservation). It's a pretty dark, steakhouse, vibe inside with old school Frank Sinatra-esque music in the background. The service level here was perfect, I love a place where the staff plays zone and if someone notices something then they cover it seamlessly. Nick was our server and took great care of us. we tried the following: Drinks - I had a dirty gin martini and my wife had a captain and diet (her go to) and both were perfectly mixed. Appetizers - We were really looking forward to the buratta appetizer, but it had just gone off menu, so we went with the goat cheese that replaced it, which was good (but I would cut down the number of sun-dried tomatoes by 1/3). My wife ordered the onion soup and really enjoyed it. Mains - My wife had the filet and said it was the best she has had in a long while. I am a sucker for lamb and wasn't feeling like a steak, so that is what I went with. Both were amazing and we both had mashed potatoes. Mine also came with carrots with a demi-glaze. Everything was delicious. Dessert - The restaurant was kind enough to serve my wife a complimentary dessert for her birthday. It was amazing, but we were so full we could only manage a few bites. Will definitely be back!!

It was an early seating 5:00. We were guided through a fairly empty dining room to the upstairs room. There was one couple already seated in an otherwise empty room. We were seated immediately next to them..... we may as well have been sitting at their table. I not only thought this strange but actually a bit rude. But, I did not make an objection. The food at this restaurant is always good and the wild game selection along with the specials are usually the good bets. In the past the wine list was more cost friendly but still not bad. My only criticism of the menu is the rather limited appetizer selection. Our entrees were very good but overall the experience was stilted by the poor judgement of the hostess serving us.

Service was pleasant enough but s-l-o-w. Restaurant was not busy but there was one large party of about a dozen which seemed to overwhelm the two servers. For the entire time we were there we didn't see any front of house staff (manager, host, bussers) other than two servers. Cleanliness was poor. We were there for over an hour and tables near us were not cleared or cleaned at all. Dirty dishes with leftover food sitting on them for the duration of our meal. Food all over the floor. Not an appetizing atmosphere. All-in-all poor value for the money.

I ordered the Chicken Piccata. That is one of my favorite dishes at most Italian restaurants. This looked like boiled chicken breasts, no color at all. The "lemon" sauce was like water and did not taste like lemon at all. More like vinegar. The "grilled"asparagus was sitting in the water and tasted boiled, not grilled. Mashed potatoes were decent, but sitting in a bowl of watery sauce did not help. Do not order this if you are expecting traditional Piccata. The angel hair pasta with "marinara" sauce my husband ordered was very bland, it was more like canned regular tomato sauce stirred into pasta...no joke. We wonder if there is a different owner, and cook. The nice young man who was our server was very good. We will not be back, and that is sad aswe liked it before.
