Again- no announcement of the winning numbers. Not a fan of this practice and would never participate again.

If you don't serve the food at the same time, you lose a star. Nothing irritates me more. Get it together. If you serve the appetizer late, you lost another. Shrimp salad and burger arrived first. TEN minutes passed until we saw the other three orders. Five minutes later the cheese curds appetizer arrived. Really should be 2 stars now because I had the Cubano. These sandwiches have strict rules. It was fine, but the ham is supposed to be real ham, not thinly sliced cheap Carl Budding sandwich ham. Since the atmosphere was so nice and people were friendly and very attentive, three stars seemed appropriate. The chef served the first two dishes and a few others, maybe that's why he's not cooking. The bar was severely understaffed for a holiday rush at 6:00 pm but the drinks we ordered were very good. The atmosphere is just what you want in an Irish bar. Just lots of friendly people having a good time. We both ordered the corned beef and cabbage and the portion could have fed a family of four. My only critique is that the brisket was not sliced correctly. It tasted really good but it was hard to eat as it was cut with the grain instead of against the grain. We topped of the meal with a Bailey's Irish cream cheese cake which was delicious. Will definitely try this place again to try their other culinary options. Just a fun place!

The staff were so kind and fun, and were even actively brewing! They were so kind to answer all of our questions about what they were making, and they had TVs on for the badger basketball game. This is the true meaning of shit holes…read more The thing that really pissed me off is that they charge a $2.00 fee to use your debit or credit card. This is not legal. I believe it is either 3.99 or 4.99 % at most places that actually follow the rules. So if you have sandwich and fries for lunch, that's about $0.50, not $2.00. You can't carry enough cash these days as every single place has raised their prices more than any of us are being paid. I'm just a single guy trying to survive in this world and that is robbery.

They were steamed with a shredded parm and I probably would have preferred a baked/balsamic rendition better. The alligator on the other hand was a dish worth coming and trying though, the sauces paired very well-my only quibble was that it seemed like their fryer oil needed to be replaced as there was a very subtle aftertaste of burnt oil. They also offer you a free desert if you're out celebrating, which was a really nice gesture in our opinion. Overall the service and food were above average. The ambiance and price left something to be desired. In general I would recommend this place to someone who maybe hasn't traveled as much but wants to get an upscale steakhouse feel in the Janesville area. If you only have one night in the Stateline area I'd personally direct you someplace else to try to blow your socks off.

We've been going here for relaxed and fun weekend evenings since we moved to Albany and love Center. Colleen and Gary are the owners, very loving and caring people. They are incredibly generous in the community and donate so much back. It's always a pleasure to spend money here, knowing how invested they are. On the weekends, it can get very crowded and fun, especially during games or football season. It used to be very smokey sometimes and that often kept us away. With the smoking ban, it's gotten better but, the last couple of times I was there, people were still smoking inside. Hence the four stars. That said, it is always fun. The bar tenders, especially Colleen, are so attentive and fun to talk with. They treat everyone like they are special. On the weekends, you do tend to get a lot of folks from out of town, and they can get rowdy but, it's fun rowdy. Kereoke night is very entertaining!
