The Rustic Grill is a true east side hidden gem. The restaurant is located within Stonewater Golf Club and is open to the public. They have a phenomenal menu with my favorites being the Sticky Sesame Cauliflower, the Asian Bowl, and the Trout Oscar. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. In addition to the restaurant, during the summer months on Friday and Saturday''s enjoy The Yard located right behind the Rustic Grill on the 10th hole. The Yard includes food trucks, live music, ice cream, family friendly activities and more!

To begin with, the golf course presents a picturesque setting, providing an enjoyable experience for golfers. However, the culinary offerings at their grill leave much to be desired. For those who favor unseasoned and insipid cuisine, this establishment may be suitable. While we found the chicken wings to be palatable, they did not meet the expected crispness; rather, it was the combination of parmesan cheese and garlic sauce that enhanced their flavor. It is worth noting that wings are typically categorized as bar food, and the bar itself is commendable, exhibiting a vibrant atmosphere and serving high-quality beverages. Conversely, the service at the patio dining tables was subpar. Our server neglected to provide appetizer plates, silverware, and salad dressing, resulting in all of our dishes arriving simultaneously. My dining companion selected the restaurant's rendition of snap peas, parmesan, and pasta with shrimp, which proved to be excessively bland and nearly unworthy of presentation. I opted for the Chicken Pistachio Schnitzel, which also lacked flavor. The strawberry salad, however, was an exception; it was notably enjoyable, primarily due to the addition of cheese. In conclusion, I would recommend focusing on the bar and the golf course while seeking dining experiences elsewhere.

I had lunch yesterday at The Rustic Grill, which is set on the beautiful StoneWater Golf Club in Aberdeen. I came here because I wanted to try something new and had heard good things about the food. I called the day before to make a reservation as I was advised to do so, just to make sure I was able to get a seat. They did ask me if I wanted a seat on the patio but I declined. It was raining and couldn't see well out to the golf course anyways. I definitely recommend the patio on a day when it's sunny and golfers are out! It is an enclosed patio which is nice. Upon entering, they took us right away to our seat (reservation prior) which was wonderful. So we didn't have to wait at all. When we got into the restaurant, it was not crowded at all, as a matter of fact I believe me and my grandma were the only ones inside and only two other tables were occupied in the patio room.. not busy at all so not sure why reservations were advised? I thought it would be busier as the food is supposed to be really good especially at lunch hour on a Sunday. The waitress was so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I had asked her for recommendations and she gave me her opinions which I appreciate. She also took our drink and food order right away. The food and drinks were good but here's where my review goes to 3 stars: The food. My grandma had potatoes so hard and dry that we couldn't actually chew them, I'm not kidding! I tried one myself and had to spit it out. It seems as if it had been pre made and left to sit out for hours.. not good. Her entree was also dry and she had asked for bacon on her omelette and didn't get any at all. Her food wasn't worth the money in my opinion. But granted, you're at a golf club. So expect food will be on the pricier side. I wanted to try out the signature burger and wasn't disappointed it was really good and the fries were the highlight! You must try the French fries! It came as my side so I didn't need to pay $5 additional. I also ordered the signature espresso to go after my meal and they brought it lukewarm in a plastic cup with a straw and I have never seen anything like that before. She eventually took it back in the kitchen and made it hot but I only got half of what I paid for with the espresso once it was poured in the to go styrofoam cup. It was a $6 espresso that was so small once I got it to go... Overall, the main room was beautiful, our table was a marble table which I love and the bar was decorated for Christmas with a beautiful tree and decor! Ambiance gets a 10-10! I would love to come back during the summer to sit in the patio on a sunny day and I'll be ordering those fries!

Nice atmosphere with a nice view of the golf course. Sunday brunch was crazy busy so we had to wait a little bit to get seated even though we had reservations but they staff was apologetic and friendly to get us seated asap. I got the brisket skillet. I was really surprised at the size if this entry, it was more of a dinner size entry. The brisket was way better than expected, tender, juicy and smoked. Quite a surprise given this is not a bbq restaurant. The potatoes were a bit oily but good. The French toast was also a hit, the blue berry spread in the middle was quite good, it kept the toast moist and fluffy with a hint of blue berry sweetness.

Fabulous time Saturday night with my family to celebrate my birthday. We reserved the igloo outside for a party of 8. The heaters filled the igloo up nice. The table was a little small for us but we made it work. The food was delicious with the eggplant parm and the burger. The truffle fries were my favorite! Would love to come back to try more! Service was also very excellent for us being in an igloo!!

With COVID-19 raging, but us still wanting to eat out for my birthday, we discovered that the Rustic Grill at StoneWater had outdoor igloos available!! We booked one of the two available seatings and got there in time to see the snow-covered golf course spread out before us! Service was super-friendly and attentive, and the small electric space heaters in the igloo made for a very comfortable meal experience. We ordered drinks, the best of which was my daughter's peppermint (candy cane) martini. We ordered a few appetizers while a basket of warm crusty bread arrived for us to munch. The baked camembert was served in a small cast iron skillet, all warm and gooey, topped with honey and pistachios along with crackers and apple slices for dipping. Calamari was perfectly chewy and lightly breaded crisp with a to-die-for garlic aioli that was saved to dip our fries in to. Since we were in no rush (they have timed seatings), we waited until the appys were mostly gone before we placed our main meal order. More drinks were had! My wife and I did our typical meal-split (two dishes, the burger and the lobster risotto) and the girls split one entree (deconstructed chicken pot pie). The Rustic Grill burger was served more medium that medium-rare, but was still very juicy. Burger came on a brioche bun topped with caramelized onions, crisp bacon, lettuce, melted white cheddar and the same garlic aioli mentioned earlier...it was a great combination of flavors with the sweet onions offset by the tang of the garlic sauce. And the fries on the side were some of the best fresh cut potatoes we've had in quite some time! As I mentioned above, the girls shared a deconstructed chicken pot pie which was topped with a cheddar biscuit. It was very sweet upon early bites (due to the fresh corn), but the flavors developed more as additional bites were taken. The only disappointing dish was the lobster risotto my wife and I also shared...it was very fishy tasting even though the risotto was cooked to a nice creamy consistency. The meal was unhurried, our served Dan was easygoing and laid back taking great care of us throughout the meal and the setting (with only four igloos on the patio) made for a feeling of safety and comfort which was just what we were looking for! Thanks for making my birthday special!

Hanna, an EXCELLENT server to start our dining! We were very interested in the Sunday brunch and Igloo dining. So we got our reservations and went to our "tee time". Like I started, our server was fantastic. Explained anything we asked and was so efficient that everyone complemented her. Now the meals! Two ordered the omlets that they said were the best ever! Loaded with their choices and served really hot (and this even with carrying out to the Igloo! My wife ordered the egg sandwich and a side of home fries. Sooooo good!!! I ordered the Belgian Waffle, side of bacon and home fries too. Again perfect in everything. Can't say enough about the home fries. DO NOT OVERLOOK FOR BREAKFAST!! Finally we all split the oreo cheesecake. Just perfect for us. And even with the service/gratuity added on for the Igloo, an additional tip was very warranted! Definitely coming back when weather is better for an evening meal, and so should YOU!!

(probably after a nice long day of golf) If you use the restroom, he's usually sitting at the end of the bar and will harass you when you leave the restroom. I've been in this establishment two times. The last time was June 18. I went to the restroom at 9:55 PM. This would be a good time to check your security cameras. Before even walked into the restroom, there were comments made to me by him that were inappropriate. Left the restroom where he proceeded to sit in his chair. Ask me if I went number one or number two. Then he proceeded to blow in my hair and tell me that I should be doing sexual favors for him on my knees as all of the men around him laughed. He proceeded to make fun of my hair, etc... Sam is supposedly a family man. This is supposed to be a family owned establishment which is posted online. It is not. It is trash. The owner is trash. How embarrassing for his entire family. All of the bartenders, of course, defended him as he was sitting there harassing me. Of course, at the time I didn't realize that it was Sam the actual owner. But of course, while I was taking up for myself, I was told by one of the female bartenders that "this isn't gonna fly here" when I was standing up for myself. I truly hope that maybe Sam can get his life together and stop harassing customers especially new customers. This is not a family, friendly establishment when the owner is completely drunk, falling off his barstool and using complete disgusting language to females that walk by him. I honestly have never had an experience like this before, but after it happened and speaking to other females that frequent that wonderful classy establishment, Sam is known for this. Save your money, time, and class...go somewhere else where you're not sexually harassed.

Not a big place, but enough high tables and bar seats to take in a small crowd. A few low tables are in a room off the main space. Large patio outside. Guy next to me had a Bigger Boy burger which looks to be their signature burger. It was big for sure, and nice and sloppy. Looked great! I will be back to check out a few other items on the menu.

And thought this restaurant would work to meet with a couple of friends! We travel with a service dog that is a medical alert dog ! He is small and friendly because he isn't a bomb sniffing military dog! He is a medical alert Alert dog that is the service he provides my husband! Which has saved his life many times! If my husband's blood sugar reaches a critical point he alerts us ! We entered the restaurant happy to be seated on patio with our friends! The front desk stalled to address our presence which gave an elderly woman standing in front of counter opportunity to bend down and pet our dog! Suddenly a smug young woman appeared behind counter, she didn't introduce herself, said that we couldn't eat there with our dog! My husband and I told her he was a Service Dog! She called us liars to our faces ! She said "THATS Not A Service DOG"because he noticed people around him" I guess because he didn't bite the lady that pet him? She didn't even ask what service our dog provides! Which is the only question legally she is supposed to ask! The rudeness of this woman was uwnconsciencable! I'm guessing she was a man'ager of some sort, When my husband said-that patio would be fine! He explained that the other Winking Lizard in North field OH had no problem! She said that "this was a private restaurant and didn't have to accommodate us in anyway " What's next? Will this woman stop allowing people in wheelchairs to be accommodated? I blame owner of this restaurant for his poor hiring choice! Someone who treats people like this shouldn't be working with public! We have traveled all over the country and world with our dog and had to come to Winking Lizard in Mayfield Ohio to be treated like this! My friend with us is a retired attorney and witnessed this and couldn't believe it! This place hires rude people! In all fairness! Because we weren't flying we were on a road trip from Florida ! I didn't have his service vest on him forgot it at home! But I had paperwork on my phone! This woman was insulting and very disrespectful & rude! We took our business elsewhere and if you are disabled in any way or a Vet I wouldn't recommend this restaurant!

Tiny, lukewarm and not much flavoring. Marinara dipping sauce was bland as well. Now for the sub. Unreal Italian Sub. The tots were crispy and salted. The sub was AMAZING... repeat AMAZING. Served with Italian dressing, on a toasted roll. Banana peppers, onion, tomato, with multiple meats and cheeses. Definitely a bar favorite as I saw many people eating the same dish. It's worth a visit or a try if you're in the area. The big positive of this place was the prices. $2.50 a beer and $10 for that sub. My tab was low so that's always a good thing. I would go back to this place however it might be tough sometimes if the bar gets pizza.
