Decent spot in the area for coffee and a pastry. A popular spot during the weekday mornings. A lot of customers with their dogs outside or babies in strollers. Plenty of tables inside for a quick breakfast.

While staying in Tiburon for The Weekend my husband and I walked here from our hotel to have coffee and scones. I have been buying their crackers for years and I was really interested to check this bakery out. They have a few locations selling food, drinks, bread, sweets and of course their crackers. This is not the place that they make and package their crackers lol ... lots of indoor and outdoor seating here serving delicious scones and food as well. The service was ok ...

Place is very cute and aesthetic but the coffee is lacking taste. Ordered a cold brew and added cream to my liking but it was overall bland. My partner order a mocha with whipped cream but when it was brought to us, they told us they were out of whipped cream. The lemon poppyseed cake flavor was great but the icing was hard and gritty. The carrot cake was moist and soft.

This review is for the Rustic Bakery brownie! I LOVE Rustic Bakery boxed crackers and cookies, which I buy locally in Healdsburg at Shelton's and Big Johns (and wherever else I can find them...hot tip: look for the seasonal pumpkin cookies in/around October!). So I was pumped to discover Rustic Bakery in a small shopping center on a recent visit to Tiburon. It's a light and bright cafe with some indoor seating and some seating in their back patio/courtyard. I visited near the end of their day so didn't expect a full array of fresh items. I don't often have a sweet tooth, but when I do...I love me some chocolate. I was delighted to find a delicious-looking brownie. Let me tell you: it was awesome! Dense, moist, rich, chocolate chips for texture...delicious! And that's not always the case with brownies. I also enjoyed a classic black iced tea. Standard in flavor and refreshing on a hot day. I'll definitely seek out another brownie when I'm near Rustic Bakery again. They do offer a food menu and I hope to try that too.

Rustic Bakery is a steady, stalwart of the Marin bakery & cafe scene, and this location in Tiburon rings all the bells and whistles for fans who know what they'll get here. Favorite breakfast orders include pastries, strong coffee and steel cut oats, to which you can add fresh berries. (Their oatmeal is rich, so I wasn't completely surprised to learn it's made with cream.) Rustic Bakery shines at lunch, with their supersized salad options. Personal favorites include the quinoa & veggie salad with miso dressing or asian chicken salad with peanut dressing. Rustic is traditional in the sandwich department, with egg and tuna salad in the mix, elevated by their fresh baked bread. Their Marin Melt is a stand out. They also have daily soup options. Packaged sea salt crackers or shortbread cookies (maple shortbread in Fall) make good gifts for friends. Ignore the low-ish ratings, Rustic is as solid as it gets.

Got the pastry from the farmers market and it's delicious! Good variety of selection.

Walked over to this bakery while waiting for an event to start nearby. Location is in a plaza with lots of parking, and they had a mercantile store across the hall. We ordered an oat latte and a chai latte, as well as a ginger scone to share. Coffee beans are from Equator! The latte was really delicious, but the chai latte was pretty underwhelming. It lacked the chai flavor and seemed like it was almost all milk. The scone was pretty good though! There were candied ginger bits throughout the scone to give it a nice flavor. Make sure to come early, since most items sell out early!

We opted for the Brunch Prix Fixe menu ($49 per person), selecting two appetizers and two entrées, and every single dish exceeded expectations. To begin, the Jalapeño Lobster Toast was a standout. The lobster was incredibly tender and sweet, elevated by a delicate kick from the jalapeño, the ginger aïoli added a subtle warmth. Each bite was layered, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Equally impressive was Michael Mina's Ahi Tuna Tartare (well worth the supplement). This dish was a masterpiece of freshness and complexity. The tuna was pristine, melting in the mouth, while the combination of mint, chilis, and Asian pear created a mix of coolness, heat, and sweetness. The pine nuts added a welcome crunch, and the garlic habanero-sesame oil delivered a bold, aromatic depth that made the dish very unique. For the main course, the Bungalow Benedict was pure comfort elevated to perfection. Served on a beautifully toasted Model Bakery English muffin, the Canadian bacon was rich and savory, while the poached eggs were cooked flawlessly, their yolks silky and indulgent. The hollandaise was luxuriously smooth while the breakfast potatoes on the side were crisp, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The Steak Frites Au Poivre (also a supplement) was another highlight. The filet medallions were cooked exactly to temperature (we asked for med rare) tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The au poivre sauce added a refined peppery richness that complemented the meat beautifully. The crinkle-cut fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside! Dessert was the perfect finale. The Brûléed Basque Cheesecake was extraordinary, so creamy and rich with a delicately caramelized top that added depth and texture. The Three Layer Chocolate Cake was pure decadence. Moist, rich, and intensely chocolatey, it was elevated by the lightness of whipped crème fraîche. The salted caramel sauce tied everything together with a perfect sweet-salty finish....you can tell I'm a chocoholic! Beyond the food, the ambiance deserves special mention. The space is incredibly refined, with a soothing palette of pastel tones that immediately invites relaxation. The décor draws inspiration from Art Nouveau and Art Deco, creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and thoughtfully curated. Everything is immaculate, contributing to an overall sense of understated luxury. Finally, the service truly elevated the entire experience. The General Manager, Giovanni, was outstanding. He guided us through every detail of the menu, offering thoughtful explanations and perfectly pairing wines with each course. His presence was attentive yet never intrusive, making us feel completely at ease. His professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge added a personal touch that made the experience truly memorable. RECCOMENDED!

Service was fairly attentive - there was only one slight hiccup with one entree not coming out until around 5 minutes after everyone's dish so we had to wait. Pretty good selection of signature cocktails. The Liquid Gold was refreshing and not that strong. As for the food, we got the tartare, crab empanada, bungalow Benedict, and the phyllo crusted pork chop. The tartare was fresh and not fishy at all, but was missing some salt. Crab empanada was great. The cilantro avocado puree and aioli complemented the crab well. Eggs Benedict was standard. It was nice that it came with a model bakery English muffin, but nothing stood out. Pork chop was fried very well. Crispy exterior but soft inside. It was a pretty hefty cut as well. I expected more from the taverna fries but it seemed like standard frozen fries. The chimichurri sauce was good but had an aioli texture, which was weird but still good taste wise. To end, the butterscotch budino was fairly light and had a good sweetness. All in all, the lunch was still enjoyable especially with the view. I do wish there was that wow factor in some of the dishes to better match the price.

I'll turn this into a polished Yelp Elite-style narrative: observant, balanced, a little…read morewitty, and clearly written by someone who actually spends time here--not a fly-by latte tourist. This spot feels like the other side of Sausalito--in the best way. If Sausalito Bakery is the pressed-linen, weekend-brunch version of town, this place is where the everyday locals land. Same essence, very different energy. Cozy, familiar, and quietly charming without trying too hard. The space itself is warm and inviting, with a lived-in feel and a glowing sign in the back that somehow makes the whole room feel softer. There's a large communal table, plenty of indoor seating, and a steady hum of conversation that creates excellent white noise. It's a solid place to get work done--as long as you're not recording audio, because it does get a little loud--but for emails, planning, or a casual work session, it absolutely works. Now, the matcha. This is the real headline. I'll be honest: I used to actively avoid ordering matcha here. It was mediocre at best. About five months ago, they changed it--slight improvement, but still not there. I know the ownership was proud of that update, but something clearly changed again since then, because today's matcha was genuinely impressive. Like, stop-what-you're-doing impressive. At this point, I'm comfortable saying this is the best matcha in Sausalito. Egg Lady's is fine, but it doesn't come close. Sausalito Bakery is lovely to hang out in, and their pastries are great--but their matcha is forgettable. This one isn't. (The only matcha I've had locally that competes was at an ERIA Events gathering, but that's not exactly a walk-in situation, so it doesn't count.) If you're in Sausalito specifically looking for matcha, this is the place. They're also great with substitutions, service is quick, and the owner has a genuinely warm, welcoming presence--lots of friendly back-and-forth with regulars, which adds to the atmosphere rather than distracting from it. I didn't try the pastries or sandwiches this time (not much of a pastry person), though everything looked solid. Outdoor seating exists, but with the weather being a bit unpredictable lately, indoor is the move. Fair warning: parking is a hassle. I parked in the lot near Trident, and while it worked, the valet experience was... unpleasant enough that I probably wouldn't do it again. Plan accordingly. All in all, this is a comfortable, local-feeling café with excellent matcha, good energy, and enough seating to make it a reliable go-to. It may not be the "scene," but it's exactly the kind of place you end up recommending when someone asks, "Where do you actually like to go?"
