Dejan was straight-forward about his pricing as well as his teams availability to help us move. It was a no-brainer to move forward with him. His team of 3 movers showed up on-time, and got to work immediately in assessing all of our belongings, what needed extra care and wrapping, and what can be loaded onto the truck already. (My fiance and I have had to move more than we'd like to, and had already packed up all small items/clothing/etc...). The team of movers were awesome. They were so friendly, noticed we were into hiking and talked with us about trips we've taken, as well as local trails we've hiked. They loaded all our things up, drove up to our new place, and immediately began to unload and move things into the rooms that we had labeled the boxes of, or where we asked them to. They set up our bed for us, put together pieces of furniture they had taken apart, and cleaned up after themselves. If we ever need to make a big move again, we will be reaching out to Value Movers. We also can't recommend them enough to friends and family in and around Astoria. Word of the wise: they do not accept personal checks. My beautiful $4000 dollar mirror ruined while in their storage facility in New Jersey. They didn't use proper care and they definitely didn't store my stuff in a storage that is temperature controlled. This company uses storage facilities in New Jersey and they make you go through hell just to be able to see your stuff and the storage company charges you just to see your own things. I do not recommend this company to anyone they are scammers and when they think you are rich they will charge you a lot of money. What they do is check your zip code look into how much rent you pay and charge you based on that. Also they will deliver everything and the guy will try to charge you a tip fee of around $600 to $1000 the moving guys don't get tipped when packing everything up so why do you need to tip them when they show up and move everything in ? They were by far the best rate which did make me a little nervous wondering how good they would be. I confirmed the details with German via text the day prior to our move. At 8 am, as scheduled, 2 movers showed up and got straight to work. They were polite, and hard working. We got our truck from uhaul but uhaul was running behind so while we waited for the truck the movers didn't hesitate at all. They managed to get a lot of our stuff out of the 1 story walk up and down to the ground level. They moved a 1 bedroom apartment(mainly furniture and about 5 boxes in 2 hours) which we felt was VERY fast. I would hired these guys time and time again! They were amazing. Can you even imagine receiving the news that ¾ of your valuables, heirlooms, and memorabilia--including those of your recently deceased husband--are missing because the movers amazingly LOST an ENTIRE CRATE of boxes? It's heartbreaking and frustrating and financially devastating! I remain ready and willing to resolve this matter, but they have ignored my recent pleas for fair reimbursement. Moving is an incredibly stressful and costly process anyway, but this takes the cake. Please consider this in choosing your mover!
