I took my travel trailer here as it was recommended by the insurance company. I dropped off my trailer on Friday October 18th it was not finished until February 12th. When I dropped it off I paid my $500 deductible in cash. (If you pay them anything you better video it) There is constant delays it's going to be ready and then it's the next week and then the next. When it is finally done I make arrangements to pick it up and they want my deductible again. I explained I paid in cash when I dropped it off 4 months ago (the insurance paid them 6 months ago) and they said no you didn't we don't take payments like that. Rob took my money when I dropped it off, I just have no proof so I had to pay my deductible again to get my trailer. When I picked it up there was no walkthrough showing what was done. I never received a copy of the estimate or anything explaining what the over 15k was going for. The work looks un professional on the inside and very subpar. I hope that the roof replacement was done better, but only time will tell. I do not recommend using this company but if you do, video and record every conversation, ask for everything in writing. I asked for copies of every piece of paper and I hardly got anything, I received a paper saying work to be performed was as per estimate but never saw the estimate. Consumer beware. I am very unhappy. Shop around get real reviews before ever dealing with a business, I am learning the hard way being back in Texas. read more

These folks did a fantastic job replacing the old fire trap RV refrigerator unit with a modern home fridge. You cannot tell that it was not factory installed. They took great care to preserve the cabinetry and secured everything better than the original construction. They have given me a very reasonable estimate for a custom repaint job on my classic coach, and as soon as I can find the downtime, I will be pursuing that. They will also have them replace my roof HVAC systems. I recommend the professionalism and quick turnaround from Russell RV. Sometimes, finding someone willing to go the extra mile to keep classic RVs on the road is difficult. Often, unorthodox repairs requiring thinking "outside the box" are what need to be done. We had a leak in our van and also had roof damage inside. We took it to Russel RV. They had it for almost a week when we called to see what the estimate was for the work to be done. They called back and told us the van wouldn't start. Had it hauled to a shop. A week later we took it back. They gave a ridiculous estimate over the phone and we told them that all we needed done was the whole van to be resealed and if the vents needed replaced to let us know. I erroneous thought they were going to reseal the whole van. You can see in the video that not only did not reseal the whole van but did not inform us about the the vent over the commode ! You can see in the video it should have been replaced; it broke off when I touched it! They did not reseal the whole van, as we expected, but just the top. This was my fault, since I did not get anything in writing; I was not thinking about it, after we took it back. They charged us $1700.00 for this van to be resealed on the top. I can write all my complaints, but instead I took video. I like to stick with facts. One of my biggest issues is the fact that they did not clean anywhere they resealed! Everyone knows you MUST clean the area before you reseal anything in order for it to properly adhere. The roof is still very dirty and we all know for any sealant to properly adhere, the surface area MUST be cleaned! When I questioned why it wasn't cleaned and was still so dirty, I was told they resealed where the old seal was, so they didn't clean it! Really! $1700.00 and they could not wipe it off with a rag before they put the sealant down? Also, if the AC was resealed, since it was the biggest issue we had, why in the video do you see styrofoam sticking out of vent. Did they not see this? The sealant cost was only a couple of hundred, the rest I was told was for labor! I would not ever recommend this company for their service. No place to put pictures or video! read more

We stopped in to see if they had availability since we needed one of our slides worked on. Talked to Mike (Parts) and once he and one of the mechanics looked it over they set us up for the following Monday. We dropped it off first thing Monday and also had them check the bearings and breaks. They said it would be done late afternoon. Mike called after a couple of hours and let us know the parts were available and could do it all. We got the call at 4:00 and were picking it up by 4:30. All done and working perfectly. Bottom line is we are very happy with the work and excellent service. If you are in the area and need your RV serviced I would highly recommend them. Just be sure to call first! Our bedroom A/C had become so loud that you couldn't talk over it and, in our travels, we have been having a hard time getting a service company to come out to service/replace the unit. All it took was one call to Russell RV and Daniel was out the next day, took down our insurance information, arranged for a replacement unit and had the new unit installed within the week! I put a large scratch all the way down the side of our coach in a tight construction area. We went to the place of purchase and asked about getting it repaired along with some repair work to the hallway floor. We were quoted a ridiculous price with someone else doing the body work and a time line that was 2 months. On the way back my husband said to find another place. Our insurance company had recommended Russell RV. We stopped and they quoted us half and could get us in sooner and letting us stay in our unit as we are fulltimers. We were not out of the coach at anytime except during the day for about 4 days for repairs inside. We were able to stay in the coach day and evening when the body work was done except for the paint booth day. The guys are really nice and a decent job was done. We even added a couple of small items. It did take a little longer in time than quoted, but we all know RV work is slow. Insurance approval, parts, etc. I would definitely use them again. read more

Bad service and very bad workmanship. Brought little camper in for some work. Window, door handle, floor and carpet. 1. The door handle was installed and the old door handle was removed, leaving a large hole open to the weather. I asked if the door seal and door was checked for leaks and was advised it was. Not possible with hole the size of a silver dollar in it. 2. The floor and floor trim was to be replaced but the only thing replaced was the floor from the bottom and the trim was the old cracked trim left on. 3. Carper was installed, over the nuts and bolts that were loose and some were missing. No attempt was made to replace the vent nuts that were missing and loose. The door that was also to be carpeted was not.and had to be removed and I am to pick that up later. All in all I will never have any work done by this facility again. It was a very small job and I am not complaining about the several weeks it took, as I understand work gets backed up. But if your putting out this type a work and expect return customers, it won't happen. read more

Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for a job that was $200 and only going to take 2 hours. I show up and was told not a problem. I came back at 4pm and the job had never been touched. I was ask if I could reschedule. Never again will I call them or recommend this company. Really disorganized service schedule. Would never use this shop again. Very dishonest and poor quality of work. It was so bad that my insurance company told me to pick it up and they would send it for repairs elsewhere. I have used this place for repairs for over a decade. I have had special requests which they have done for me and done them really well. I have always found them to be friendly, efficient and timely. Had one of my schwintek slides not operable. I had an emergency in Denver that I had to get to and could not leave with the coach in this condition. Mike Powell of Russell RV said he could fit me in. I read the reviews here and was skeptical however went forward and took it in. Mike immediately got to it. My other slide had developed a problem too so now it was two slides not working. He happened to have the parts necessary, worked on it one full day while I waited in the fifth wheel. He could not finish it that day, so they allowed us to stay over night there, hooked us up water and electric. Next morning mike returned and spent another day working on it. With that many hours, plus parts, I expected the bill to be through the roof. All though it was high, it was less than I expected. The owner was socialble but Mike Powell was outstanding. Unlike these other comments, I actually in 20 years of RV ing have not had a better experience. read more
