Bought travel trailer new, stripping had a hole in it. They said they would reach out when the stripping came in, after a year I never received a call. If You buy a trailer from them, DON'T BUY THE MAINTENANCE WARRANTY, RIP OFF! Travel trailer less than a year old, was leaking and they refused to repair it, they said they didn't have time after it sat on their lot for a week.. Lack of communication in the entire maintenance department. Took trailer in on a Thursday appointment @ 1:00pm they said warranty work would be completed by Monday morning, showed up Monday morning to drive back to Dallas and they hadn't even touched the trailer! Whaaaaat!!! Asked David when it would be completed, he shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know. Asked to speak to the manager who then after much discussion said it would be done by end of day. Went to pick it up Tuesday morning waited 45 minutes and finally asked them to hunt it down so that I could just hook it up and start the long drive back to Dallas,.. SMH. If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought an RV from demontrond two years ago. Six months after I purchased it, I brought it back in because I found a wet spot on the carpet in the corner of my slide. They had it for a month, and told me they couldn't find a leak. Two years later, I see water dripping from my ceiling. I pull the paneling from my ceiling, and the wood is completely rotten to the point that I can stick my finger completely through my roof. The damage is in the exact location where the wet carpet was at. The amount of mold was completely insane. My son and I live in this RV, so needless to say, im extremely upset. I called Chad, who is the Service manager. He quickly told me demontrond is going to do absolutely nothing to fix the issue. I took my RV to a different shop. It's going to cost me $10,000 out of my pocket to fix. Insurance won't cover it because the leak is two years old. So demontrond really screwed me on this. read more

Conroe location has TERRIBLE and LAZY service department. We took our Winnebago in for an "inspection" and told them to check all systems and the air since we were going to be taking it out on a trip soon. We paid $140 for this. Get it back and we immediately find a hole in the roof and the slide out not working. Call them and am told "we only check xyz during an inspection and don't turn on the slide outs if we don't have to". Wow how lazy. Wish I would have been told that when we dropped it off. And I'm also told by CHAD verbatim "You can not bring it back here mam but I'm not refunding your money for the inspection". Don't give them your business and take your RV to a quality service provider. read more

I was in contact with Richard Cheatham here at DeMontrond in Conroe to trade in my rpod for a voyage. We agreed on the terms and I submitted my joint credit application. I had alerts from creditors that my credit was pulled, (my scores hover around 750-770). It has been a week and I have not heard anything back from the dealer or salesman. I emailed them to inquire about the loan but nothing in return. Obviously, I won't be making the deal but they should have the decency to contact the customer alerting them if there is an issue with the loan or anything. I go nothing, no call, no email,,nothing. I would advise anyone to stay away from this dealer. I read the prior reviews but still went ahead and tried for a trade. You have been warned to stay away and I can certainly agree with that. My husband worked here for 2 years and was let go because of a background check. So after becoming a tech and moving up to a shop foreman with no write ups no days missed he is let go. This is odd because his background was taken when hired. Do not trust this company if customers only knew how they operate no one would ever trust them. Just look at the negative reviews on here or Google and please trust they are completely true. Family owned and operated lol. When the kids took over that went out the window. No respect,honor,integrity. And No warranty forever. read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star. Took my fifth wheel to get serviced and spoke with Chad... he told me everything was going to be taken care of with the warranty. It was not... they said that the water heater needed to be fixed and mind you there was NOTHING wrong with it and now I have it back in my possession and I have no running hot water.... And this whole bumper to bumper warranty is not bumper to bumper. NONE of the issues I had were covered at all. On top of all of this they had my fifth wheel for almost two weeks. I travel for work so my husband and I began searching for a travel trailer. Our search brought us here. I found several online that were within our budget and had the appeal we were looking for. We were eager to meet Eddie on Monday and get to pick one that would meet our travel needs. Eddie picked up on what we were looking for rather quickly. He showed us the few that I asked to see and a couple more he thought were also fitting. We decided on one he selected. We expressed concern about a time crunch we were on and wanted to know if it was possible to get approved for financing and sign the contract before I left out of state again 2 days later. He assured us that it should be done before I left but if not they could have my husband sign and overnight the paperwork to me via FedEx for completion. They requested a $1000 deposit (not including down payment) to start the process. We complied and received a call the following afternoon from the finance department. They said all was approved and paperwork should be ready shortly. Not receiving another call and nearing the end of business, we followed up. We were told the finance guy left for the day. Eddie told my husband he could come in Saturday at 2 pm and they would FedEx it to me afterwards. Not hearing anything to the contrary all week, my husband starts the hour drive to the dealership. He receives a call from Cassidy with the finance department telling him not to come because they cannot send the contract via FedEx to me. This is the first we've heard from her or anyone else about this. Rightfully upset, he calls me to inform me of this. I call the dealership directly to inquire about the problem and speak to Al. He's quick to give an excuse that they needed a light bill to deflect attention away from the core problem and turfs me to Cassidy. I immediately email him the light bill requested and return the topic back to the FedEx arrangement that is no longer available. Not understanding where things went south, I feel that I'm deserving of an explanation. They're offended by my inquiry and defensive. After several calls, I'm told that I must fly back in and sign the contract. Telling them that we've been misled all week, the only way I'm booking a flight is if my husband signs the contract that day and it's available when they open Monday morning for my signature so I can be on the next flight out. They agree but Cassidy in all her unprofessionalism tells my husband that she has to drop her kid off at school so I need to make myself available at 10 am and delay my return flight. I email Al and Cassidy responds with you can come another day if the later time is unacceptable. She also welcomes me to get outside financing if I'm not agreeable to the arrangement. No! No! No! I've jumped through hoops, booked an insanely expensive flight, over a holiday weekend, and at my own expense, with minimal notice to be there Monday morning. Al offers a whopping $300 off a $30,000 travel trailer and free delivery for my inconvenience but only after I request some sort of financial incentive after the utter nightmare that is his staff. Thanks for the insult. We are in the market for another travel trailer for our military son but now know where we definitely will not be going! read more

Too bad there is not a zero. Chad the service manager is duplicitous and ill mannered. Who knows what the work will look like since we are not allowed to even inspect the work until we give them $$$. Follow up, the work is sloppy with clear caulking outside (a lot) the area chalked. The rear passenger side Jack was bent and not repaired. When asked about this Chad stated "it wasn't on the estimate". He then walked away. This is our starter RV with the intent to move up. This will not happen at Demontrond. I will not purchase anything from this dealer - RV or car since this is how they treat customers after purchase. read more

Had it in the shop 7 months ago for ac replacement, it went out again 4 months ago, now they're making us pay because when they inspected it then, paperwork lost... huge regret buying from demontrond, as soon as I can I'm getting rid of the junk Salem they sold me. Don't buy from them, oh and service work usually takes 3 months and it hasn't been done right yet. Warranty forever my behind, they don't disclose that you have to send in the inspection report yourself, and nobody disclosed they won't turn it in, useful way to scam folks. Dishonest dealer!! FYI they steal things as well had a few items stolen last time in was there we will see when I get it back this time what's missing. Just looked up dometic ac they have a two year warranty. I bought a park model from here January 2019. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. When i called about this particular unit, i asked the salesman i talked to about moving it. He said they knew someone and if it was reasonably close it would be included. When i got there, the salesman i ended up with, James, DID NOT INCLUDE IT. I had to pay $150. And james told me it was a year end close out so price wasn't negotiable by much. He said they already had it marked down. He did get my son and i subway for lunch. When i came back later for something someone else told me they had plenty and didnt think they were closeouts. Also, they did have a mechanic do a fast and pretty thorough walk through. The parts woman showed me things i needed because no one else told me i would need basic stuff like sewer hose and water hose! As much as i paid that shouldve been included. She mentioned taking pics. When i came back another day for what wally world didnt have, she was very suspicious of me and treated me like why was i there. The friendly mechanic who did the walk through wasnt friendly any more either. My insurance company looked up the retail price with the vin and it was what de montrond said was the sale price! read more
