Rush Bowls is our family's go-to bowl & smoothie spot in PB, for sure. Love the fresh ingredients, service, and owners. Good people and good healthy food option. Our usual order is the High Tide Bowl and Green Goodness. The Rush Bites are awesome too. Plenty of inside and outside seating.

Rush Bowls has entered the SD market with a location that recently opened in PB. It's a national chain featuring acai and smoothie bowls. The suite it inherited has seen multiple beverage and dessert vendors pass through its doors. Perhaps a business with a health and wellness focus will be more successful in the long term. Parking on this block was all curbside. The inside had a few tables for seating. It was a pet friendly environment. I believe the owners have multiple dogs that were painted as a mural on the right wall when you walked in. The menu screens hung on the left wall. The categories were divided into Destination, Wellness, and Endurance with bowls and smoothies available under each one. Bowls cost $12.99, and smoothies were $10.99. Toppers and boosts were $1 each, and alternative milk choices were also $1 extra. The Jungle bowl was my selection. The base contained strawberry, banana, pineapple, coconut, orange juice, and guava juice. The toppers were granola, honey, and one choice (blueberries were my pick). Within a few minutes the bowl was finished being prepared by a worker. No pre-made bases were used which was positive, and the serving size was plentiful. If anything, it overfilled the rim to the point in which the honey was dripping on to the table where I sat and tried to consume some of the contents. The blueberries were fresh and made a nice topping. I am hopeful that Rush Bowls will draw enough customer traffic as the product I tried was at a level between four and five stars.

Beach Bowl (açaí)

I'm honored to be the first to rave and share my Rush Bowls experience on day 5 of their opening. I've tried açaí bowls all over, but this place is in a league of its own. The quality of the ingredients is clearly top-tier and I say this because they showed me their kitchen. Pomegranate in the açaí bowl? Yes please! Everything is & tastes incredibly fresh and natural. But the real star of the show? The peanut butter. It is hands-down the best I've ever had; perfectly creamy and made in-house. Beyond the food, the customer service is excellent. The owners are kind and genuinely welcoming! They made me feel like a regular, or even family, from my first visit. We were sent home with the cutest doggy bow wow treat bowl and fresh peanut butter- Super generous and kind establishment. If you're looking for a healthy, delicious treat, this is the spot. Congrats on your opening Rush Bowls! We love your family

As a tourist visiting San Diego I was in the mood for some açaí and stumbled upon this place via TikTok. I ordered myself a dragon bowl and was extremely surprised. The bowl delicious, the cashier was extremely personable, and the wait wasn't very long at all. Overall would definitely recommend especially if making your way towards the beach.

Such a great spot! You can really taste the difference with the quality of the ingredients. Everything is made with real, all-natural ingredients, and I love that they even make things like their house jam and fresh-ground peanut butter in-house. It definitely sets them apart. I also love that it's family-owned. It's always nice knowing you're supporting a local business while getting something that's both delicious and made with so much care. I'll definitely be back!

I've been seeing Rush Bowls on my TikTok feed and been wanting to try. My friend and I decided to drive up to Pacific Beach to give this place a try. We walked in 15 minutes before closing and Adrian was so welcoming and friendly he gave us great recommendations. Oh boy! The bowls were sooooo good! I never usually finish an açaí bowl but this one was so delicious it was gone by the time we left. I will definitely come back here and recommend this place to my other friends

Super cute place, pretty expensive though for just a simple bowl. Other than that pretty good, fruit is super fresh but açaí is okay. Workers super nice!

i've been here twice now the bowls and smoothies are amazing!! everything is so fresh and they make alot of their stuff in house!! i've had great service every time the workers are very friendly i would totally recommend this place.

Rush Bowls is the absolute best!! Yes the quality and taste is amazing but more than anything Adrian and the whole team is so kind, caring, and helpful! We had a small catering order for a yoga teacher training and everything went so smoothly; bowls were ready on time and so delicious. Highly recommend!!!

I placed an order ahead of time and showed up about 25 minutes later thinking it would be ready. When I checked in, a younger employee told me it would be another 10 minutes. Annoying, but okay. The parking situation around here is already a nightmare, so I really wasn't thrilled about having to stand around waiting even longer. Well, those 10 minutes turned into 25. During that time, I watched multiple people walk in, place orders after I had already checked in, and receive their food before me. The crazy part? It wasn't even busy. There was no line out the door, no rush, no obvious reason for such a ridiculous delay. After waiting long enough, I finally went up to an older gentleman working there (I'm assuming the owner) and politely explained that I had been waiting a very long time and was confused why people ordering after me were getting their food first. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking about an order that should have been ready ages ago. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance. There are plenty of other places in San Diego serving great bowls without the attitude.

This quaint and unassuming coffee shop delivered spectacularly. Located in a really small strip mall, we were happy to get a parking space in the parking lot. Walking in, it had a tropical safari theme. It's not a big place but just enough for a few small tables and displays. I ordered at the register and the girl that helped us was super nice. She made great suggestions on the coffees. We tried their Latte with oat milk and the Maple nut latte. We also tried their pistachio-apricot scone. The lattes were excellent! Great, strong coffee flavor but with no bitterness. It was really smooth. And the scone? Loved it! Great taste and texture. Perfect crumb. Oh how I wish this place was in North County. I'll definitely be back!

The food was just okay, but the tipping setup is what really left a bad taste…read more This is basically a 95% self-service restaurant. You seat yourself, walk to the counter to order, pay before you even sit down, get your own water, and clean your own table when you're finished. The only real "service" is someone walking your food from the kitchen to the table. Yet before you've received your food or experienced any service whatsoever, the payment screen has the nerve to ask for a 15% to 20% tip. A tip for what exactly? My outstanding performance as my own waiter and busser? I counted roughly seven employees: two working the counter, one bringing out food, one near the water station, possibly two cooks, and maybe one dishwasher. If the restaurant collects thousands in prepaid tips during a busy breakfast and lunch, is all that money actually being divided among those employees? There's absolutely no transparency. It honestly feels less like tipping the staff and more like tipping the owner. If the restaurant needs 15% to 20% more revenue, just raise the menu prices by that amount and be honest about it. Don't advertise one price, provide almost no table service, and then guilt customers into adding another 15% to 20% before they've even taken a bite. Food: okay. Service: mostly provided by me. Suggested tip: apparently still 15% to 20%. Update, the manager sent me a response that I should be happy someone happily took my order. Wow, the expectations at this place is off the chart low. I sent him a response below. It's honestly wild that I'm supposed to be "glad" someone took my order politely, answered a question, and showed me where to tap my card. That is basic counter service, not some extraordinary full-service dining experience deserving 15 to 20 percent of the entire bill. And comparing your tip prompt to Costco asking for a charitable donation might be the dumbest comparison possible. Costco asks whether you'd like to donate a few dollars to charity. They don't suggest handing over 15 to 20 percent of your grocery bill because the cashier smiled and showed you where to insert your card. And just because tip screens are popping up everywhere doesn't make them right. This is the first restaurant I've eaten at where you order and pay at the counter, tip before receiving any service, get your own water, and then clear your own table. Your setup is not the norm. If I took ten people there for lunch and explained the system beforehand, they'd laugh me out of the parking lot. In fact, I posted about your setup on Facebook, and practically every comment agreed it was ridiculous. I tagged you guys btw. Let's recap: I stood in line to order, paid and tipped before eating, got my own water, and cleared my own table. At some point I apparently worked a shift there. Where do I pick up my paycheck? That snide remark backfired quite a bit, don't you think?
