First time I've been to one. I was really impressed with the customer service and the quality of food. The atmosphere is that of a normal fast food restaurant. The Swiss and mushroom meal was amazing and the crinkle fries were cook to perfection. I will definitely eat here again when in Omaha. read more

I stopped at Runza to take care of a craving. I had not been to a Runza for a while and the spicy bbq burger sounded good. I got a double regular size rootbeer and fries. I also got a cheese runza for later. $23.40! I was in shock over the price but continued on. When I got home looking forward to the buger, I opened it up and took a bite. Now I enjoy jalapeños but there was a TON piled on. I had to remove more than half to be able to continue eating. Nò bbq sauce at all and the burger tasted like it had been sitting around a reheated and this was about 12:45 pm. I avoid fast food outside normal meal times because THEY ALL reheat burgers or whatever. A big disappointment! I saved the cheese runza for later as planned, a Runza has always been good reheated. There was a pretty long line at Runza today and I have to admit it, it didn't go that quickly. That's ok. The food was still hot and fresh. My issue is that they were donating 10% to Muddy Paws Rescue today, but the employees had no idea what we were talking about or what to do. I think it's great that they donate to charity, but you just have to let your employees know what is going on. Otherwise it leaves everyone confused and frustrated and it contributes to wait time. Moved to Omaha a few months ago and everyone talks about Runza.. there's not one very close to my house, I usually go to broncos for my hangover burger. I just so happen to be right by one today so decided to try it. I got a double cheeseburger with no onions, did not disappoint. Much better than any other fast food burger I have had. This was my very first visit to Runza. I picked the one off of 175th. The place was clean and not busy. I ordered the Philly sandwich as a tribute to the Superbowl champions. That was not a wise selection. The sandwich came out quick but soggy and with very minimal meat in it. The meat selection was not as other Philly steaks are but of a hamburger ground. I couldn't eat this after attempting a few bites. The onion rings we're overly crisp and the chili was thick and decent. Overall, I probably won't be returning to this chain again but had to give them a fair chance. read more

I normally get the cheeseburger value meal and thought today I would try something different. I ordered the southwest runza and it was ok but I think I will stick to my usual order. This is one of my favorite hamburger restaurants. The burgers always are juicy and well cooked and the runza meat pies are a wonderful take on the classic combination of meat and bread. I don't usually get very excited about french fries but the ones here are just perfect. They are piping hot and crispy on the outside and soft and flaky in the middle. I have heard that the onion rings are also quite good but I'm so hooked on the french fries I haven't had a chance to try the rings! Gotta just keep going back I guess. read more

Have been to this runza location on 168 & dodge many times because of its close location to where I live. I call this location the fast runza because they are always very fast and hardly ever screwed up my order before. Also I think runza has the best quality food compared to other fast food places, might be a little bit more expensive but it is worth it. We took my parents here after church for Father's Day. Food was alright, service was fine generally. The problem was that the staff decided they would vacuum the dining room while customers were trying to eat. It made it impossible to talk and kind of ruined the evening. It was unbelievably rude. I've been to this location plenty of times as it's close to my husband's work. Usually, very good food/service but things were so bad this time that I had to comment. First, it was 3:38 p.m. on a Saturday so the lot was almost empty. I thought, great news...no wait. Well, we arrived and there was no one to wait on us at the counter. There were 2 young men standing over by drive thru window (no one was in the drive thru) and they could see we were waiting but they couldn't be bothered. A 3rd person was vacuuming (btw, they need a new vacuum, the one they have is so loud you can't converse with the person next to you while it's running). Finally, a young girl came from somewhere in back to help us. What was probably the worst thing at this point wasn't the wait. It was the smell. It smelled like vomit. The floors looked like they'd been recently mopped but the nasty smell was VERY strong. The young lady that took our order did so with great ease and I was hoping that things would be better as it appeared that they were done vacuuming. Nope, a few minutes later a new person started vacuuming again. I told my husband if she shows up over here I'm going to tell her that I'd prefer they not kick up the dirt while I'm eating. Well, thankfully she never made it down our row although I couldn't talk to my husband or daughter for all the noise from the vacuum cleaner. What we hoped for, the light in tunnel was going to be our food. We were REALLY hungry. After the wait, the smell and the noise our food was finally done. Burgers were great and I thought woohoo, the fries are fresh. Well....they were fresh but were so greasy that I had to mop them off with napkins (took 2 napkins for my fries). I thought well at least they're hot and now that I'd gotten the grease off them they should be good, right? Nope...they were inedible due to the volume of salt soaked into them. My husband and daughters weren't as badly salty but mine were just awful. We were just too tired and disappointed in the whole event we just left. Not planning to go back either.
