We were there on a Wednesday, so had to try the Warrior Burger special - burger and six wings. Not sure why the server asked how i wanted the burger cooked because it came out nearly well done. Wings were clearly made in advance and not even given another freshen up in the deep fryer (soft/soggy and warm). Definitely not worth the splurge on calories. Service was great, and kitchen definitely setup to pump out food quickly. Faster than even some fast-food places. i'd go back and stick to apps and drinks for sure.

Chips were a good size not too thick or thin. The three pieces of fish were tasty and crisp but they were small. I think they should have had a fourth piece. Since they have a 15% off special right now until Labor Day I'm not going to argue it. The Yeats chicken was very good. Had the onion rings as one of the two sides and they were good, real onions not chopped onions. The waitress did check on us and was very nice.

This place has completely changed, and unfortunately not for the better.

The restaurant has a cozy, rustic Irish charm that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. Our server was wonderful--friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely pleasant to talk with. We also loved her accent, which added to the authentic Irish pub atmosphere. The food arrived very quickly and was served piping hot, clearly fresh from the kitchen. Everything our party of three ordered was delicious, and everyone left happy. What really stood out to us was how kind and accommodating the staff were to our 90-year-old father. They made him feel welcome and took extra care to ensure he was comfortable. At the end of the meal, we believe the owner stopped by to ask how everything was, which was a thoughtful touch. The staff also allowed our father to use the floor-level exit and kindly held the door for us when we left. It's becoming harder and harder to find restaurants that combine great food with genuinely warm hospitality, but Paddy's Loft delivered both. We left feeling appreciated as customers and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

We kind of feel like it's better than hearing someone else's game while trying to watch yours but it is strange too. You'd think without the audible it would be a quieter atmosphere but I could barely hear my husband across from me it was so loud from the tight quarters and so many people talking and cheering for different things. Acoustics just aren't great. We had the Bavarian pretzel which was okay and the donut holes also okay. I tried both white and red sangria and didn't really like either. Asked for Mexican coffee and they didn't know what it was and also said they'd run out of Kahlua when I shared what the ingredients are and this at about 4PM. Our waitress was very nice and really on top of things while juggling quite a few tables so bravo to her. Was glad for the municipal lot in the back as street parking isn't my thing. I came here about a week ago on a Saturday for their Heartbreakers party (5pm-9pm) with a few…read morefriends and had a great time! Tickets (~$30/pp) were easy to purchase via their website and they email you the QR code which you can show at the door when you arrive. No need to print the ticket! I was surprised at how big the venue was inside because from the outside, it looked like a small spot. Apparently this spot has been around for awhile because when I mentioned the place to my stepfather in law, he knew about it from when he was younger! The place was also surprisingly very clean and tidy. Coat check was $3 cash and the line went relatively fast. I was really happy they did not misplace or lose my jacket at the end of the night (speaking from my clubbing days from "back in the day"). You get a physical ticket after handing them your jacket and they even tell you to take a picture of the ticket in case you lose it during the night. After getting my coat checked, there was a table with lit up flower headbands and lit up foam sticks. These were both a hit as almost everyone at the venue had one of each. I would say the age range went from those in their 30s up to women in their 50s. Everyone was respectful of each other which was great. The place was crowded but not so crowded that you couldn't move around or felt claustrophobic though at times, the venue did get kind of warm inside. I did not order any food but I think the VIP tables had that option. I also did not order any drinks because I do not drink alcohol. My friends that did drink seemed happy with what they got. There were multiple bars throughout the venue which was great as you didn't have to walk far to get a drink. I had no issues with any of the staff throughout my night. The bartenders were pleasant as well as the staff handling the coats, the bouncers and security. There were two bathrooms (men and women) and there was always a line for both. At this specific party it was females only so staff allowed us to use the mens bathroom. The DJ (DJ Mary Mac) was great and played a good variety of music throughout the night. There was even a portion of the night where January birthday party goers got up on the stage to celebrate their birthdays. Sound quality was great and even though this was a "day party", it really felt like we were partying at night like the good old clubbing days haha. The con is that parking is hard to find so arrive early before the party. It is located right next to the LIRR train station so I guess that's good for those that want to travel by train. A lot of areas around the venue was 1 hour parking until 6pm or 8pm which was annoying because the party I was going to started at 5pm. Overall, I would definitely return for other events! It seems from their website that they always have something going on!

Extremely Disappointing. Would NOT Recommend…read more My boyfriend and I visited The Good Life for a casual after work dinner date, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in a while. We were genuinely excited to try this restaurant, but the food was an absolute letdown. We started with the Loaded Spicy Nachos, which I would give a 5.5/10. They were mediocre at best and nothing particularly impressive. For our entrées, we ordered the Shepherd's Stew and the Fallen Phoenix Skirt Steak. The Shepherd's Stew was honestly horrendous. I genuinely did not enjoy it at all. The skirt steak was okay, but that's about the nicest thing I can say about it. It wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't anything memorable or worth returning for. And the mac and cheese? Absolutely foul. I don't know how else to describe it. It was genuinely disgusting and easily one of the biggest disappointments of the entire meal. Mac and cheese is such a classic comfort food, and I couldn't believe how much I disliked theirs. The most frustrating part was that we came here expecting a delicious, satisfying dinner, especially considering we were spending our money on a night out. Instead, almost everything we tried was underwhelming or downright unpleasant. Overall, this restaurant gets a 3/10 from us, and that's being generous. The skirt steak was the only somewhat redeeming part of the meal, and even that was just average. I would not recommend The Good Life at all. Based on our experience, the food simply was not worth it, and we have absolutely no desire to return. Save your money and try somewhere else.
