I'm relying on them to keep my son safe. I enjoyed Big Horn. Luckily this is a location (mother in law lives close by) that I frequent so we will definitely be back. We opted for the s'mores before the ride. Great thought but terrible decision. This should be after the ride.Both my son and I had a terrible stomach ache during most of our ride. Only outhouses available. We powered through because there were 2 other people in our group and we won't be party poopers (pun intended.) If I remember correctly, this is inside a park. Budget 30 extra minutes (+ the 30 min early check in) because the line to pay to get into the park can be really long. Hopefully the horse ride and the front check in people are able to talk soon so reservations are allowed to enter for free with your service receipt. Overall, besides the tummy ache, we had a great time.

Over all I would recommend this place, perhaps maybe just ask a million questions before they have you get on and take off.

During this first week students get familiar with horses and horse behavior, but they don't actually ride on their own (they ride while their horses are being led around the area by the helpers). One major issue was the venue tasting, which unfortunately did not reflect the quality or level of organization we expected. Communication was inconsistent -- our coordinator changed during the process, but we were never formally notified or introduced to the new coordinator beforehand. The tasting itself raised several concerns: * Food and appetizers were very disappointing and did not appear to represent the venue's higher-value menu options * No food labels were provided, which made it difficult to identify dishes (ironically the only labeled item on the appetizer table was the hand sanitizer bucket) * Multiple food safety concerns were observed * Buffet service ran 15-20 minutes behind schedule * Service details were disorganized (no cloth napkins, no straws until requested, incorrect utensils provided) * Staff repeatedly opened the outdoor doors, making the dining area cold enough that guests were wearing winter jackets There were also logistical issues such as no microphone or greeting to start the tasting and no closing remarks or communication from staff. After this experience, we decided to cancel our booking well in advance of the wedding date. Unfortunately, the contract language regarding refunds proved ambiguous. Although only our deposit was due at the time, we had made additional payments early. When we canceled, the venue refunded 50% of the total amount paid to date rather than 50% of the deposit, which resulted in us losing $1,800. My recommendation to future couples is to review the cancellation terms extremely carefully and avoid making payments earlier than required until you fully understand how refunds are calculated.

This was my first time in Colorado and this was my favorite experience out of the entire trip! It's such a beautiful way to see the Rocky Mountains. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable and will make you feel at ease throughout the ride. I did the three hour and I highly recommend it but be aware your legs and booty will be hurting for a couple of days haha!! Still worth it! When I visit Colorado again, I will 100% be booking a ride here.

We had two adults and four kids in our group, all with some riding experience, and every one of us had an amazing time. Our trail guides, Emma and Anna, were outstanding. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and constantly attentive to everyone's safety. Anna, our back guide, spent much of the nearly two-hour ride on foot, helping the horses navigate downed trees, steep rocky hillsides, and even rock stair steps. It was obvious how much they cared about both the riders and the horses. Speaking of the horses--they were some of the best trail horses I've ever ridden. They were healthy, well cared for, beautiful, and gentle. I've been on rides elsewhere where the horses were overweight and clearly not in great condition, but these horses looked fantastic. My horse, Bacon, completely stole my heart--I wanted to take him home! The trail itself was breathtaking, with challenging terrain that showcased just how sure-footed and trustworthy these horses are. There was also a family of complete beginners riding ahead of us, and Emma and Anna made sure they felt comfortable and confident the entire time. I would recommend Jackson Stables to anyone, whether you're an experienced rider or climbing into the saddle for the very first time. It was easily one of the highlights of our Colorado trip!

This was not labeled as a "guided talking tour".... They also allowed someone with special needs to ride on a 3 hour ride which is "not for beginners" and that really held up the experience. They should reserve the right to evaluate riders in the beginning and make adjustments accordingly. But all in all, a good experience.
