Since then we have made leaps and bounds of progress in a way that has worked for both me and my horse. Claire is very mindful and aware of both horse and riders needs. Her main focus is keeping the horses happy - which is imperative in a sport where these animals so graciously lend us their wings. I can't say enough good things about our lovely team. Very grateful to have finally landed at a facility where mine and my horses needs are being met.

She, and her assistants Alex Heimann and Emily Watson, are knowledgeable, passionate, enthusiastic, and kind. Every horse and rider is cared for with the utmost attention to detail. The years of dedication that these women have invested in horses is apparent at every level. I have learned more in two years of riding with FRSS than I have in the prior 40 years of owning and riding horses. I have felt like family since first walking through Claire's door - her positive approach to coaching puts even to most anxious rider at ease, and the comprehensive approach to horse care keeps every mount at their best and most comfortable. If you and/or your horse want to take your hunter/jumper skills to the next level, there is no better place to do so than Front Range Show Stables.

After…read morelooking over the website, I thought this place would be a good fit. $45/lesson and if you buy a 10-pack, $42/lesson. Not bad. I called and left a voicemail and heard back from Trish pretty quickly. We had a pleasant conversation about why I wanted to take some lessons, what I needed to get started, and when I could start. Unfortunately Trish had not updated her website in YEARS and lessons are actually $50/each. Kind of annoying, but whatever. I can forgive a ranch lady for not having an excellent and updated website. The week I was supposed to start, we started getting temperatures in the negatives and snow - not ideal. She texted me to let me know it would be too uncomfortable to ride. No problem. I texted for the following week to see if I could ride. No response. I've texted 3 separate times to check in about when I could come in. No response. I'm sorry but I'm about to drop $500 on this place - $500 in Trish's pocket and she can't even return a call? Or text me back? I am a prospective buyer! Yesterday I decided I would drive by to check the place out before I dropped $500 here. Not unusual to see a disheveled appearance for a place with horses. I called and left a voicemail and STILL haven't heard. I will not be spending my money or my time here. Too many red flags and not enough integrity unfortunately.

Signed our boys up for a 5-day summer camp at Flatirons Equestrian and they were very excited for…read morethis. However, from the first moment something seemed off about this place. Versus greeting new campers on the first day, Trish took almost 20 mins after the advertised start time to come out from her house and greet anyone, while people were waiting with their children. Day 1 the boys spent the majority of the day picking up manure and hay and very little riding. While I fully expected them to be taught how to take care of a horse as part of the experience, they rode for less than 45mins each. Also, it seemed that the young girls who were "camp counselors" were more interested in delegating of chores rather than trying to teach, instruct or create an atmosphere that was enjoyable for the campers. It is possible that our boys were the only ones who are not enjoying the camp, but I was concerned by the fact that it seemed like the young girls were the ones they are mainly interacting with, and not much adult oversight, as Trish spent an inordinate amount of time inside her home and not out with the campers. The "camp counselors" were picking and choosing who could ride when and it seemed there was no attempt to give everyone equal turns riding the horses. Since they are landlocked, you were essentially limited to a horse pen. Day 2, the boys didn't want to go back to camp, but with some encouragement they did and it was a complete rinse and repeat of Day 1, except for when the weather turned to rain and they just sat inside looking at each other. After Day 2, I sent an email to Trish asking to have a conversation with her to help set my expectations of what campers were doing all day and followed this up with a phone call / voicemail. The boys did not attend the rest of the week. There was never a call saying there were missed and to see if they were ok. It wasn't until day 4 when she returned my call and left me a voicemail. I promptly called her back and left a voicemail, with no response from her ever again. I had ask for a partial refund in the second voicemail I left for her, again, no response, no refund, and was left feeling very disappointed with Trish, the camp and the counselors. At a minimum, after spending $450 per child for the week, I would have expected a conversation to understand our dissatisfaction. Sadly, I have to say this place was horrible experience for our boys and very, very disappointing experience for us.

Kaia is particularly fantastic with teens - so much knowledge coupled with attention, patience and empathy. Rebecca is so kind and terrific with beginners (adults or kids). The facility is older but well-run and has everything - 2 outdoor rings, an indoor, and even a cross-country field. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the barn stalls don't have runs attached and you have to pay extra for turnout, making boarding kind of pricey.
