Update: Runde phoned me a week after posting my previous review. The gentleman talked things through with me an offered to make it right. Parts were ordered and the truck was fixed in their shop on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. read more

As compared to our Subaru Forester, we are so much more pleased. Better ride, much quieter and a lot less work to drive! We had a little trouble with warped brake rotors but Runde came through and replaced the rotors at no charge to us. read more

I had a pretty good experience with Runde predriven. Donavan was very helpful, even came in on his day off! My only complaint was that the Buick Lacrosse I bought needed a little more attention with the detailing on the inside of the car. The windshield was pretty smeared with whatever they cleaned the dash off with. Otherwise no complaints. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This has been the absolute WORST car-buying experience of my life. The customer service is non-existent; the staff acted like they were doing me a favor by simply acknowledging my presence. Every question I asked was met with sarcasm, as if I was inconveniencing them by wanting to look at and test drive the vehicle I wanted before purchasing it. The salesmen were downright rude and pushy. They spoke to me in a condescending tone, clearly trying to pressure me into buying a car that didn't meet my needs or budget. The vehicles that they were pushing onto me were all SEVERAL thousand dollars above my budget, ($5-8,000+). It was painfully obvious they were only interested in making a quick buck. The cars themselves were in questionable condition. One vehicle I test drove had the frame almost completely rusted out, and when I pointed it out, they brushed it off as "not a big deal." And it "would get around just fine." Are you kidding me? They refused to provide mechanical services which were covered by the warranty that I paid for even though I booked an appointment and received confirmation messages. They insisted that I didnt book one, which made me feel like they were hiding something. My suspicious feeling turned out to be correct when I became stranded on the highway, because my car would not drive over 20 MPH. When I came to them about this issue they denied that anything was wrong with my vehicle. To make matters worse, their financing options were a complete scam. They tried to sneak extra fees into the paperwork, hoping I wouldn't notice, simply because it was my first car and I did not know what to expect. When I called them out on it, they got defensive and rude, acting like I was the problem for questioning their shady tactics. Avoid this dealership at all costs. The entire experience was distasteful, unprofessional, and downright crooked. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere--preferably somewhere that values honesty and respects its customers. read more

I am so DISGUSTED I have bought many vehicles from Runde throughout my many years of buying my own vehicles, and so have many of my family members. Today I went to try to trade in my vehicle in, I am well aware that there is an issue with my vehicle and I am very well aware of what it will cost to get fixed. obviously I do my research, I have never been so insulted in my life with such a low ball offer. They offered me a whopping $500.00 for a trade in. The tires alone are worth more than that. I could take it to a scrap yard and get a lot more than that. The part itself is not costly, its the labor that would be costly. I get that aspect of it all but to offer someone 500 because A part needs to be replaced, what a joke. I guarantee they would fix it as cheap as they could and then turn around and sell if for 10,000-15,000. I am so livid that my intelligence was so insulted. Well RUNDE PREDRIVEN YOU HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS and I can guarantee after this incident my family members will be gone as well, just plain disgusted!!!!!!! HORRIBLE. I would love to give no stars but I did not have that option!!!! read more

Runde PreDriven had my dream Jeep. I drove nearly 2 hours to look at it. We agreed to a price and then when it went to finance. They sent me home because banks were closed for the day with the intent of me returning the next day to pick it up. I get a call at noon the next day and suddenly $1500 was added to the price without any explanation. When I disagreed, NO ONE called me back and I was told that the General Manager "doesn't really talk with customers." So no, I don't suggest shopping here, especially not as a single woman. read more

An absolute nightmare experience. We bought a 2014 Ford Escape here a few weeks back. Two weeks after having the car, the check engine light comes on. Turns out the car needs a new turbo charger. A $1,700 repair. Runde's response was basically "well you bought the car as is ..." So before I've even made my first payment on the car, i'm taking the car THAT I JUST BOUGHT FROM THEM A FEW WEEKS PRIOR right back to them for nearly TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS in repairs! I drop the car off for repairs and i'm given a 2009 Malibu as a loaner. One week passes. Nothing. Service writer has no idea what's going on with the repair. He says he will call me back. Never does. It's now been two weeks and with zero communication. I call them back and no one in the service department has any idea whats going on. I'm told to call the sales person I dealt with to figure out whats going on, only it's his day off. I eventually get a hold of the sales manager (!?) who finally helps with getting people to figure out what is going on and give me a call. After 3 weeks of driving the stinky 2009 Malibu (which is about as long as I even had the car i actually purchased from them in my possession) and $1700 later I can finally pick up my car again. If you look at their responses to other similar reviews, you can see their attitude is very much "well you bought it as is so it's not our fault" and it would be unfair to them if I denied any accountability on my part. In a way, they're right. I DID buy it as-is. I guess it's my fault for trusting this dealership. I wasn't expecting to be tricked into buying a broken car, paying nearly 2 grand and being without it for 3 weeks. Lesson learned. Besides, it's not like they could have known right? Except the repair history showed warranty work on the turbo at 105,000 miles (we bought it at 106,000). Maybe they just don't put that much effort into checking the cars condition before selling? Who knows. The truth of the matter is that buying a car from Runde was a financial disaster that I deeply regret. read more

If you read the other review you will find every one they review, is a 1 star. We've purchased 9 vehicles and Tim Runde is great. Easy to deal with, goes above and beyond the call for his customers. About 1/4 - 1/3 of the vehicles in Macomb, IL area have a Runde sticker on them. Great dealership! read more

We actually started out at the Manchester IA, store and found a vehicle that we wanted to purchase. They would not except a very fair offer for that vehicle. We are cash buyers. We then decided to stop at the Hazel Green dealership. It was a Saturday and they were very busy. I approached Tim Crawford who was busy with another customer, but he juggled his customers, and was able to help us out. We already knew what we wanted, and what we wanted to pay. Tim took our offer to the manager, and they made it happen. Tim was very professional, and courteous. I struggle to understand why the Manchester store would not offer us the same courtesy, but we are very happy with Tim, and our new truck. read more

I had a great experience with Runde's! Nothing but the best from these guys. We drive two hours away to buy all of our vehicles from them because of the great deals and loyalty developed over many years. Definitely the place to be! read more

I could not be more disappointed by the people at Runde Chevrolet. I have purchased a number of cars/trucks and have never been so deceived and lied to as much as my wife and I were with the sale person, Chris Kerkel and the management at this dealership. They misrepresented the truck we purchased by showing us the Car Fax and made it look like it was in great shape/condition because the mechanic had gone over the vehicle. After purchasing the truck, we did not even get it home and we had issues. I contacted the dealership and they said they would fix the issues, but I had to pay for the repairs. It was not off their lot for 24 hours and we already had problems. They knew it when they initially sold us the truck but because it was cold outside we were not able to get a complete review of the vehicle and they did a great job of hiding the problems. We have had many other issues with the truck throughout the last year. If you are planning to purchase a used vehicle from this dealership, have your own mechanic look at it because you will not get a straight answer from them or a correct one. If the ownership of this dealership reads this review, you should fire all people involved with this purchase from the manager who approved it, the sales person and your mechanic. They are all big liars. If you want to do the right thing, compensate us for the money we lost because of your unprofessional business practices. read more
