I would not purchase from this dealer. Hidden pricing dealer looking to take advantage of buyers. I've been to GMC and Chevrolet dealers across WI, purchasing a truck in Illinois and numerous vehicles across WI with only 1 transaction being as bad as this one. The dealer created stipulations relating to the manufacture discount I had. They informed me I I had to trade in my vehicle to use the GM code given to me by the manufacturer. They also lied about the timeframe to receive a truck while trying to overcharge. They told me they didn't need any money down and that I could order a truck without any commitment which is against GM policy... they're doing bad business to try and get your order and then force your hand. Bad bad bad business going against manufacturer policies. The sales tactics are downright bad. Do not buy, and do not commit to sales in writing as you will be held responsible for that vehicle if you don't accept it. Find another dealer. This is a BAD dealer. read more

Strange experience. Found a vehicle I was very excited about on their dealership website. Got financing pre-approval and asked them to call me to finalize out-the-door price and to send them any paperwork they needed. Like most dealers nowadays, I noted that they offer home delivery. Their radius is 200 miles. I live 180 miles away, and offered to meet them outside of town (major metro area with lots of traffic) to accept delivery to save them some time. I have done this with my past two vehicle purchases from other dealers and it worked out great. This morning I get the callback from the dealership, and the saleperson LEADS the discussion with "We only home deliver new vehicles. You need to find your own shipper." Didn't want to talk price. Didn't bother to offer any shippers the dealership worked with. Didn't offer to move the car to one of their other four dealerships that are considerably closer than East Dubuque. Just led with "We only deliver new vehicles." I thanked him for the call and his time, assuming they were actually interested in taking my money and finding a way to make a deal, but surprisingly, the guy just hung up on me. Like I said--strange. I guess they must be flush with cash from local buyers these days, perhaps? Maybe the salesman who phoned hadn't had his first cup of coffee yet, or wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed from the get-go? Who knows? What I do know is that I will take my business to more reputable dealers who are interested in selling cars, as this dealership apparently isn't. read more

Worst customer service ever. After the sale support forget about it. Please buy your car anywhere else. The owners are the absolute worst!

My wife went in to get an oil change and they checked the brakes on the SUV while It was in there. They told her the brakes needed to be done because there was "less than 2mm left" and "they were just about to start rubbing". Well, I just got done changing the brakes and the pads had about 50% life left on them and the rotors were just fine. I'm all for keeping my family safe, but this just feels like they were trying to make a quick buck. I always thought Runde Chevrolet was an honest place to do business but I guess that's just not true. read more

I had a nightmare with Rundes poor service department. I felt as a single, older woman, they took advantage of me. I took my car in for a transmission fluid leak in December of 2021. After 7 months, 6 appointments, 4 replaced seals, 18 phone calls and paid $1000.00,  it still leaks! They never provided the service I paid for. At one point, they even admitted to replacing the wrong seal! When I tried to speak to one of the owners, Tim, regarding the poor service, overcharges,  stress, time spent...he was very rude. Do not go to Runde Chevrolet unless you want to be ripped off! read more

I came in to get some wiring installed for my hitch. I was quoted that it would take about an hour for installation. After waiting for 2 hours and 45 minutes, they decided to finally come out and tell me that they weren't close to being done. My Jeep was torn apart. They never came out to ask me if this is the route I wanted to go. As soon as they realized it was not going to be a simple install, they should have come out to ask if I would like to proceed. It ended up taking them 6 hours to run relay wiring. Their labor cost of $110 per hour is also very high. I would not recommend coming here and getting work done without getting everything in writing first. Even then, there are less expensive places around. read more

I have purchased two trucks from Runde in the past two years. They ALWAYS have a truck on the lot that fits my needs which is not the case with most dealers. They also have the best trade prices by far. I talked to three dealers during my last purchase. Runde beat the other dealer's trade prices by $6500 and $3500 on identical trucks. Their awesome selection, amazing deals and friendly staff make it a great place to do business. I live 6 hours away and they are worth the drive!!! read more

I'm 44 and have never bought a brand new vehicle. Always used. So this time around when I got put in the position of having to get something right away when I encountered problems with my old vehicle, I had to make a fast choice. I despise having to haggle with high pressure and had a family member and a friend who had dealt with Runde and sang their praises. What you see is what you get on the price. No BSing around. My salesman Tim Loso was excellent to deal with - down to earth and sincere. I went in looking for a used vehicle and learned I could drive away in a new vehicle for the same monthly payment. After learning what I liked and wanted in my next vehicle, he suggested something entirely different to me (the new Trax) and it turns out he was spot on. I've only had it for 3K miles so far so I can't speak about the service department yet, but when it comes to sales, I can't say enough good about my experience with Runde. read more

I have purchased several of our family vehicles form here during the past 25 years that I have lived here in Dubuque. They have been excellent to to purchase from and perform maintenance. When I first moved here, I made effort to purchase from other dealers here in the city of Dubuque only to find them to offer the same vehicles that I have purchased from Runde to be over priced and they offered me a lot less on my trade ins. When I moved here I made effort for maintenance service on my Chevrolet Van with Bird Chevrolet and it was a nightmare that no body should ever experience. I could write for ever on how good/ excellent Runde's personal touch on how they treat people. For me and my family I would not think of going else where and would strongly recommend that for any one that has not tried them for purchase and/or maintenance should. These guys are great ! I drove 173 miles to get the best deal ever. Dave F. handled me great...even after I committed the deal over the internet and and not yet signing, waiting for truck to be shipped..Dave F. called back and asked if I wanted to get on the Chev ultimate offer...well I said what does it take? He said sign for a guarantee sale..and Chev will give you another $2000 off...Wasn't sure yet to actually "SIGN" over the internet on such an expensive internet purchase,and that old saying..."offer too good to be true" in back of my mind...but Dave F. was so honest to me in previous calls...I said OK ! Boy,best decision I made. I got the extra price off and Dave F. made everything easy. Picked it up last Saturday and drove it home..my local dealers were off by at least $3000....local dealers have been known to be so greedy in the Fox Valley in Wi and own all kind of dealerships in area...monopoly...Take it from me and my wife...they had the right truck,the right color{wife factor} and the best salesman around...oh,did I forget the right "PRICE"...Enjoy ! read more

We've always liked the way we've be treated at Runde. It amazes us that Runde's can sell so many cars and still maintain a small dealership low-key, friendly manner. I have never seen a service department like theirs. When they give you a time, that is when they work on your car. We have never had to wait. I am very particular about my car and they know it and always make sure any service on my car is done the way I want it. You're always treated as a friend and customer there. I have never felt any pressure dealing with Runde's. I wish I would have purchased more cars from them. I have never heard a bad word about Runde's anywhere! read more

I could not be more disappointed by the people at Runde Chevrolet. I have purchased a number of cars/trucks and have never been so deceived and lied to as much as my wife and I were with the sale person and the management at this dealership. They misrepresented the truck we purchased by showing us the Car Fax and made it look like it was in great shape/condition because the mechanic had gone over the vehicle. After purchasing the truck, we did not even get it home and we had issues. I contacted the dealership and they said they would fix the issues, but I had to pay for the repairs. It was not off their lot for 24 hours and we already had problems. They knew it when they initially sold us the truck but because it was cold outside we were not able to get a complete review of the vehicle and they did a great job of hiding the problems. We have had many other issues with the truck throughout the last year. If you are planning to purchase a used vehicle from this dealership, have your own mechanic look at it because you will not get a straight answer from them or a correct one. If the ownership of this dealership reads this review, you should fire all people involved with this purchase from the manager who approved it, the sales person and your mechanic. They are all big liars. If you want to do the right thing, compensate us for the money we lost because of your unprofessional business practices. read more

I've bought 6 new cars since 2006 from Runde Auto Group. I shop around and Runde always has the best price. The service department is second to none. The sales reps are knowledgeable and they don't pressure you into buying something. In 2008 Runde wrote a trade evaluation and wrote the wrong milage down and I didn't catch it. We did the deal and I was 100% satisfied. They beat the next best dealer by $800. A week later I was contacted by a member of the Runde family. They informed me that they wrote the wrong milage down on my trade. (THEY WROTE DOWN 95,000 MILES WHEN IT WAS ONLY 65,000) Tim Runde then told me they had a check for $1000 dollars for me. I couldn't believe it! Everything was said and done and we were happy with the deal and then this happens. They could have said nothing and I wouldn't have had a clue. For their price, honesty, integrity and the service( which are words you don't normally associate a car dealership with) I would recommend Runde Auto Group to anyone! read more
