My wife told me that friends and coworkers love this place and have encouraged her to go. We spent the morning at Popham Beach and decided to stop for lunch on the way home. Even before we ordered we were immediately struck by the kindness and friendliness of the lady behind the counter, whom I am assuming is the owner. We ordered the chicken stew and a key lime pie dessert to share. The stew was super good, but I must say it was soon forgotten once we tried the key lime dessert..... simply amazing!! My wife and I fought for every last bite. We are both excited to go back, especially to try the salads which look really good.

Quick update for their NEW LOCATION at 770 Washington St., downtown Bath, in the old Frosty Donut building. Same stupendous soups and huge scrumptious salads and sandwiches. I sort of liked the old peaceful spot but it was out of the way. Service was delightful and there are available tables for the front (if not set up just ask).

This is what fresh looks like!

Made With Love Today we had the good folks at Run with Soup cater our lunch at the Atlantic Motorcar team meeting. A total of 12 lunches, each packed meticulously in individual team member bags with a name label on each. Super simple to hand out, an unexpected but much-appreciated step. Provided to us nicely, all packed up and ready to go in boxes. With some extras thrown in. What can I say? The food is absolutely delicious, super healthy, tasty, and freshly prepared. Our entire team rated it a "5 Star" lunch for quality, value, and taste. And this is a tough crowd to please; they loved it! In addition, the Run with Soup folks were super friendly and helpful to work with, sending over a menu, accepting an e-mailed order, and clearly prepared the order with exacting care, ready for pickup early. So refreshing to experience, as tasty as their food! If you're looking for a great cafe that has locally prepared, healthy, and super tasty dishes, this is your spot. Run, don't walk, you'll thank me later! We love working with and supporting our great local businesses and are grateful for these wonderful folks! - Bruce

Incredible find in an old hospital that is now apartments and artwork--and this cafe. The directions are a little roundabout in a residential neighborhood (we missed the turn and had to come back around) but it's not far off Route One. But it is worth finding it. We had amazing soups--cucumber yogurt and red pepper/smoked Gouda. The sandwiches were stuffed full of delicious fresh ingredients--Sriracha hummus wrap and curried chicken salad. We took home some of the creative potato salad and pasta salads. You can call in your order and pick up or there are tables outside and inside in the wide hallway. Plenty of parking. Owner is very friendly.

I walked in thinking I'd order something simple, but Jocelyn somehow anticipated exactly what I wanted before I even said it -- an oatmeal latte with honey infused right into the espresso. It was warm, silky, lightly sweet, and honestly one of the most thoughtful, dialed‑in drinks I've had anywhere. You can tell when someone really knows their craft, and she absolutely does. We also grabbed the curried chicken sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of creamy and bright. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid‑bite and go, "Wait... this is really good." The whole place has that cozy‑local‑favorite energy -- friendly staff, great food, and the kind of coffee that makes you want to reroute your trip just to come back again. If you're driving through Freeport, Camden, or anywhere along the coast, Wild Oats is 100% worth the detour.

They were super accomidating and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We got to try their herbed butter candle along with some rustic bread and let me tell you, it was wild how tasty that butter was, not to mention the fun of the butter candle. We had a BBQ burger along with the pretzel and beer cheese, as well as a cocktail and a mulled wine. It was quite possibly the best beer cheese we have ever had, and the burger was fantastic as well. The cocktail was brilliantly balanced and absolutely gorgeous in presentation as well. Obviously the decor and vibe of the whole place is incredible. It does a great job of blending cozy and fantasy along with a modern cafe/bistro. Can't wait to go back, and overall hope to see their evening menu open soon.

His French toast was cooked perfectly (not too dry or lacking spices as sometimes happens). My wife liked the eggs Benedict and I was very happy with my scallion pancake wrap, which was a full meal plus enough for a light breakfast the next day. The coffee drinks, hot or cold, are a nice change up from what we usually order at any of the half-dozen amazing and friendly coffee shops / bakeries within a few hundred yards. My orange mocha was a mocha but with a light and delicious overlay of orange. My wife loved her cinnamon bun latte - we'll have to make these at home on a cold blustery evening.

I submit this for management to take corrective action,…read more I stopped in for a quick cup of coffee. One would think this would be a non event. The coffee was served in a hand made mug with no handle. WAY TOO HOT to hold. When I pointed this out the server moved on to mistake number two. "You can pick it up at the rim," she suggested, and then proceeded to demonstrate, putting her fingers ALL OVER the rim.... DISGUSTING! There is an old expression in the food service business where top third of a glass, mug etc. belongs to the customer. In a 15 second interaction they managed to screw up a simple cup of coffee.....For A COFFEE SHOP, you would think they would be savvy about such simple minded matters.... Had her pour into a paper cup and bit my tongue.....Get it together......it is a simple process.

I like the interior: it has old, historic Maine building vibes (the exposed brick, the wooden floors, the large windows with accent shutters). I like the coffee (it's from a local roaster; shame on other coffee shops for not buying their beans from Maine businesses). I like the staff: I had A LOT of weird requests, and the person ringing me up was like, "yeah, we got you, girl" (not like that, but you get the point). I like the abundance of non-dairy creamer options. I like the very Maine themed lattes (like, The Golden Road? IYKYK) I like the very seasonal themed lattes. I like that they're dog friendly. I asked them if it was possible to get the Down East Maple Latte iced (with an extra shot) and additionally a healthy sprinkle of sea salt. It was the saltiest latte I've ever had in my life, but like, in a good way? It was a gentle amount of sweet, strong on the espresso flavor, and salty. I would absolutely come out of my way to WFM here!
