"On" (the owner), came to our home and was with us every step of the way. Him, and Juan, did an absolute wonderful job walking us step-by-step on what was going to happen, their contract and insurance, exactly what to buy, etc. My wife is currently 8 months pregnant, so their level of patience was incredible! HIGHLY RECOMMEND I…read morewas forced into renovating my kitchen after repairing a hot water slab leak. It was a stressful ordeal and when it came to finding a contractor I met with several before deciding who to hire. Shani from Adar Buildings was my last in person consultation. He was very personable and understanding of my situation. I made the decision to hire this family business to help me put my life back together. They gave the lowest estimate and the shortest time estimate. COMMUNICATION to me is so key when it comes to working with a business. The communication I got from this business is what I'd expect from any business I'm working with. When Shani became unavailable for personal reasons, I was put in touch with the owner who continued to communicate with me through the completion of my project. He made sure to have the little details and touch ups addressed as I brought them up. Again HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This year we had concrete poured and the foam was removed that covered the copper lines. We found that they were kinked. This mini split was not touch since they installed it so we contacted them. I was surprised they gave us a hard time, because we specifically kept reminding them during each phase of the room addition that if something was not right they would need to come back. Finally they came out and fixed the cooper lines. We also noticed that water was showing through the brick retaining wall, several areas were damp and turning white. The company that did the cement work also confirmed the problem. The waterproofing was not done correctly. They should have put on a liquid barrier and a material because it was a planter with soil. Several calls were placed, they said they would get back to us but never did. I thought since they worked with the Property Brothers on their show that they would be a company you could count on and provide quality service. I was wrong. They do not back up there work. I am sure if the Property brothers complained they would be back in a heartbeat. So frustrating we paid them a lot to do this work. Tony, Valencia Ca

My wife and I from our first conversation were blown away by the level of professionalism, communication, and transparency during the entire process. All projects were broken down into parts, with each having its own payment installment scheduled. So no big 50% payment up front and wondering where you were in the project. If anything new did come up, they were careful to schedule time to discuss the what and why, and ensure that everyone was on the same page. I'd absolutely recommend Romano Builders to anyone with a project in their respective area. We're in Monrovia but they do work in a much wider area.

Although the house was in great condition, there were several projects that needed immediate attention. I was referred to Genaro from a friend. When I first met him, I was immediately struck by his knowledge and professionalism. Over a period of almost a year, Genaro and his crew helped me rebuild a beautiful outdoor pergola, demo and rebuild a large outdoor fence, restore 2 original historic wood cabinets dating back to 1904 and most importantly remodel my very old, dated kitchen. I could not be happier with Genaro and his crew! Genaro and crew were punctual, reliable, meticulous, knowledgable, trustworthy and honest to a fault. Genaro kept EVERY promise and OVER DELIVERED!!!! Genaro is a master of his craft and is on top of his game! Their work is exquisite and extraordinary!!! Without exaggeration, they have created the home of my dreams! From start to finish, Oury was a true professional. He took the time to really understand our needs, listened to our ideas, and helped us make choices that would fit both our lifestyle and budget. He was in constant communication--he kept us in the loop every step of the way, always answering our questions and offering helpful suggestions. He had a recommendation for every aspect of the build, and every person he recommended us to work with was just as professional, kind and detailed. The quality of the work is absolutely stunning. From the laying of our tiles in the bathroom to the beautiful new hardwood floors, we were amazed by the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Oury was completely transparent about timeframe and budget throughout the whole process. And if we ever had any questions, he was always available to talk through everything. We can't rave enough about the crew --friendly, respectful, and clearly skilled in what they do. Our project manager, Alfredo, and his whole team were so great to work with. Anything we asked for, they made happen. Even after moving back in, when we had small fixes, they came in quickly and efficiently and were kind with everything we asked. We couldn't have asked for a smoother renovation experience. What truly sets Oury and his team apart is his ability to handle challenges. No project is without its hiccups, but he navigated each one with ease and always found the best solution.
