HIGHLY RECOMMEND I was forced into renovating my kitchen after repairing a hot water slab leak. It was a stressful ordeal and when it came to finding a contractor I met with several before deciding who to hire. Shani from Adar Buildings was my last in person consultation. He was very personable and understanding of my situation. I made the decision to hire this family business to help me put my life back together. They gave the lowest estimate and the shortest time estimate. COMMUNICATION to me is so key when it comes to working with a business. The communication I got from this business is what I'd expect from any business I'm working with. When Shani became unavailable for personal reasons, I was put in touch with the owner who continued to communicate with me through the completion of my project. He made sure to have the little details and touch ups addressed as I brought them up. Again HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

2025 Adar did a room addition for us, along with installing a mini split ac unit and a 4 foot retaining wall. This year we had concrete poured and the foam was removed that covered the copper lines. We found that they were kinked. This mini split was not touch since they installed it so we contacted them. I was surprised they gave us a hard time, because we specifically kept reminding them during each phase of the room addition that if something was not right they would need to come back. Finally they came out and fixed the cooper lines. We also noticed that water was showing through the brick retaining wall, several areas were damp and turning white. The company that did the cement work also confirmed the problem. The waterproofing was not done correctly. They should have put on a liquid barrier and a material because it was a planter with soil. Several calls were placed, they said they would get back to us but never did. I thought since they worked with the Property Brothers on their show that they would be a company you could count on and provide quality service. I was wrong. They do not back up there work. I am sure if the Property brothers complained they would be back in a heartbeat. So frustrating we paid them a lot to do this work. Tony, Valencia Ca read more

Had the pleasure to work with Adar Builders for the remodel of our bathroom. Vlad Latman was our Project Manager for this project and he was wonderful to work with. He was professional, always willing to go the extra mile, and was extremely knowledgeable when helping us to pick all the fixtures and the with process in general. We decided to start this project during the birth of our grandchild (currently living with us) and he was very understanding of the needs and even halted the project while we adjusted to having a newborn at home. I never felt rushed into anything, and he was very understanding of all our needs. He worked with our budget and all payments and timelines were well explained and met to the expectations that were set. We plan to remodel that master bathroom soon and will definitely be calling Vlad with Adar Builders. read more

Was lucky enough to learn of ADAR builders when my parents were looking around to find a company that could convert their 2 car garage into a 2 bedroom ADU for my family of 3. We met with Colby in early 2023, discussed ideas and he got back to us right away with plans & the next steps quickly. Construction started 2nd week of August and wrapped 2nd week of November! We are now moving into a fresh cozy space right before the new year and holiday! Colby was always quick to respond, the workers were efficient & neat and the project was completed way before the estimated date. Definitely contact them for your construction & remodeling needs! read more

Look no further! Adar Builders is the way to go. From the moment that Vlad Latman stepped onto the project to provide a proposal, it was smooth sailing. He and his team are fast, efficient, and communicative. There were never any surprises or delays. There are always hiccups when dealing with the city and the permitting process; however, Vlad handled them with the utmost professionalism and tact. Couldn't be happier. read more

We are very happy with the work Adar Builders did on our master bathroom remodel. They were on time with great workmanship and at a fair price versus other quotes we received. After a bad experience with past contractors it was great to finally find one we can trust going forward. Vlad was our project manager and is very friendly, helpful, and openly communicated status updates on a daily basis. read more

Adar was apart of a handful of companies we reached out to for our bathroom remodel. Vlad came to our home to talk about capabilities and we immediately connected with him on a personal level versus some of the other people that had come over a span of a couple of weeks. We actually had a bid come in lower than Adars' but we decided to go with Adar solely on the fact that Vlad's communication was excellent. Communication is a huge priority for us as we've had contractors in the past go radio silent and were just unreliable. Another thing that was important to us was finding a company that was ok with my husband doing a portion of the work as well. Vlad had no problem with this and we laid out what work would be done by them and the work we would handle ourselves. After contracts were signed, Vlad and his team got to work right away. There was a strategic procedure to every step and again, the communication was very clear on what was going to happen next. Vlad was very attentive to the project and frequently stopped by to make sure everything was going smoothly. As with all projects, there were a couple of minor hiccups but everything was handled right away in terms of making things right. Vlad was very good about fixing anything and making the calls to make it happen fast. One thing Vlad would pride himself on was making things right versus cutting corners and it really showed through his team's work. We are so happy with the work and couldn't have done this without them. I would highly recommend Adar for any of your home projects. Most specifically, Vlad for any of your future consultations or projects. For those wondering, Adar handled all demo, plumping, tile, electrical, shower work, and dry wall We personally handled shiplap, vanity light install and vanity, plumbing fixture install. read more

Gavri was great. To run through how well this driveway gate repair went: - He communicated clearly and showed up when he said he would. - He explained exactly what he was going to do and what it would cost before starting work. - He looked for opportunities for additional improvements beyond the scope of what the original call was for and informed me of their necessity and price. - He tested his work before leaving and communicated with me future plans and options. What more could anyone possibly ask for from any contractor coming to do work? Five starts all around for Gavri and Adar Doors and Gates! read more

I cannot possibly say enough about Adar Garage. They are absolutely ideal for anything gate-related that you have. Not only are they exceptionally efficient, polite and fast, but they are also possibly the best value for your money you can get anywhere near the San Gabriel/Fernando valleys. We had just bought a house about a year ago with a mechanical gate that was on its last leg. It finally broke, and Sean came out and talked to us almost overnight and got us exactly what we wanted. We went from a Moscow-style gate to something more modern that matched the style of the house. He was able to help us with vision, mechanics and had an exceptional knowledge of what he was doing. While he quoted our gate being done in 4 to 5 weeks, it was done in 3! We were so impressed! The gate works wonderfully and we plan on using him for the other fencing and pavement issues in the future. Don't waste time with the others like we did. The quotes are higher and you get the feeling that they are trying to haggle you. With Adar Garage, you cannot go wrong, and they guarantee their products! Exceptional service, product and reliability with transparency and nothing strange or 'hidden'. Call them now! read more

Outstanding service, pricing and attention to detail. I reached out to Sean on a Sunday - he was at my home for an estimate within a few hours. His approach is more of a can-do than ...this will cost you more. We waited years to put in an automated gate - repurposing our old wrought iron gate materials. On the initial meet and estimate, Sean knew what he could do to save money and complete the project. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and craftsmanship. His workers (electrician and assistant) were friendly and great workers. After several estimates, we chose Adar Garage & Gate because of Sean's interest in getting the job done correctly with materials we requested. Lastly, Sean customized portions of the fence that were not in the contract or estimate- he also checked a week later to see how the fence was operating and looking. Highly recommend Sean and Adar Garage & Gate. read more

I was very hesitant to post this as I really liked Sean and Gavri, but after some real time experience with the new motor they sold me, I realize it was an upsell that I didn't need but didn't know at the time - a gate with a back up battery. What they didn't tell me was that I'd need to replace the battery every couple years, a great way for additional $ but what a pain in the ass and unnecessary expense for me. This was not explained or else I would have never gotten it. Add to that, now that Sean has moved on to bigger and better things, it leaves only Gavri on the gate side, and he is often so overwhelmed and unavailable for days. Still really nice guys, but not as honest as I had thought. read more

I was initially going to build my own wooden gate and fence for my driveway but wanted to make it out of metal. I contacted several companies but decided to go with Sean because he was prompt with his responses. We discussed several options and decided to go with my initial design. Sean was very accommodating to the changes and when the install date came, we ran into some hiccups but Sean and his installer Roberto made every effort to make me a satisfied client. If I were to do it over, I would change how I communicate with them to avoid hiccups and make sure the project is completed on time. But Sean and Roberto were very professional, polite and most of all very honest and transparent. Highly recommend them. read more

We have worked with many different contractors and Sean & his team are by far one of the best. We had a complicated custom automatic gate need. A few companies said our request was impossible and a few others quoted insane rates with plans that seemed suspicious. Sean came to give us a quote and was immediately friendly and professional. He saw our job as a fantastic challenge to solve. His rates aren't "cheap" but they are fair. The quality of work and the commitment to coming up with the best possible outcome was 100% worth it. Our unique project: we have a driveway that is connected to a public easement shared between three homes which resulted in us needing to be mindful of where things went in order to leave the easement & a garage door accessible to our neighbors resulting in an unique layout for creating an automatic gate. We needed a gate that could separate into pieces to round a corner and lay flat against a wall. Had only seen samples of this being done in Thailand. The area of our driveway is at a slant which adds a complication to gates. We also live in a historic neighborhood and it was important to us to come up with a design respects the style/history of the area. Sean and his talented welder came out multiple times to come up with solutions & custom made individual panels that went on a track, connected to an automatic solar unit, and resulted in a design that was both functional and looks good. My description doesn't adequately describe how complicated this project was. It took a few times for Sean and his team to find solutions but we were always met with patience, kindness, and could tell they really cared about the project. We are really happy we found Sean via Yelp. Would absolutely recommend for any of your gate needs. If they can do our complicated project - I am sure they can pull anything off. read more

Adar Builders are the consummate professionals. They recently completed our home remodeling project, and we are extremely satisfied with their performance. All their plans and work are clearly communicated and documented. In the construction business you rarely find contractors that finish work on schedule. However, Adar Builders are meticulous in following the planned work schedule. Our project was completed well ahead of schedule. Amit and Yoav are a joy to work with. They are kind, helpful, and were always responsive to all our requests. Their professional advice and help during the project were invaluable. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with them. Though I didn't proceed with the project, but would like to acknowledge the detailed plan and work Vlad Latman did to provide complete info on the work required. Appreciate their transparency. This is a great company. I've had my share of old electric gates needing repairs, and dealt with a number of different companies, both for installation and repairs, and Adar is the best company I've worked with. A malfunctioning electric gate is a pain in the neck, and some companies won't even bother helping you, since there's not as much money in repairs as in installations. Not the case here. Sean came right out and explained the issue to me and repaired the gate at a a fair price. I also dealt with Gavri for a different issue and he was very helpful, communicated the issues clearly, came when he said he would and has been extremely generous with his time in following up. I highly recommend this company for repair work, and next time I need a new gate, I will definitely go to them first. I suspect I would have less repairs down the road that way! read more

Sean is the best you can ever have! Even though he is busy, he always finds time to return the call or text back and make himself available. He did a fantastic job replacing an old gate motor for a very reasonable price and also installed a few extras. He would not leave the site without thoroughly checking everything and then came back to check out the old intercom panel, which our little community decided to replace. Fantastic service and a great attitude! Keep it up, Sean. read more

My second job with Adar was done skillfully by Sean yesterday. Estimate worked for us well. We needed an existing metal fence to be moved and altered and also an extension added. Everything from the initial dismantling of the metal fencing to the welding and concrete work to the metal additions, all completed in a timely manner. The finished work came out better than expected and Sean had some great ideas to make it what was needed. A pleasure working with Sean and as an artist myself, I enjoy his creativity in his craft and his professionalism. 5 stars all the way. read more

Sean was so great. I have this old gate that was falling apart and he was able to get it back into good shape. The gate was sagging, the boards were falling off and the hinges were broken. He was able to straighten out the frame by drilling in new anchors. Now my gate closes properly and he saved me a bunch of money so I don't have to buy a new gate. Once he fixed the frame everything else was easy to fix. He was even able to get it to self close. Thanks Sean! read more

I am so glad we found Sean and Gavri to help us with installing the solar motor for our gate. Sean responded to my inquiry on Yelp, made an appointment and was on time (each time), gave me clear information and a quote, patient in waiting for our decision, answered all my questions quickly along the way, and responded even on weekends. They came to install the motor when they said they would and finished when they said they would. Sean with ADAR recently installed a solar powered motor to our existing sliding driveway gate. From the first quote by phone, to following-up after the installation, Sean was consistently great with communication, response time, transparency in pricing and professional work. We received 5 different quotes for the work. All were in range of each other within $2k, which is significant. From pictures I sent Sean of our gate he was able to quote a very competitive price, with more options that we had been offered from any other company. In person, seeing the gate and it's (relatively good) condition, Sean recommended a smaller, less expensive motor option, which we appreciated; but we ultimately went with his first recommendation. He was very clear about all the parts and the installation process. Day of installation went very well, and Sean involved us in the details that were important to us; like the placement of the solar panel. I feel like we have a very good understanding of the gate motor and it's functions. Sean followed up very quickly on a small adjustment we asked for. The gate works beautifully. We do not miss getting in and out of the car to unlock and re-lock the gate. We highly recommend working with Sean at ADAR. read more
