Progressive Builders came highly recommended from one of our neighbors and reaching out to them was one of the best decisions we've made since becoming homeowners. We had a massive kitchen remodel that we needed done and we had a lot of ideas for how we wanted it to come to life. Arik and the team were out there within days of reaching out and were responsive and hands-on throughout the entire process. From the measuring to the materials selection to the design mockups, everything was incredibly collaborative and we are beyond thrilled with the result. Even when small issues needed to be handled after initial completion, they were back quickly to make sure everything was 100%. Remodels are stressful, but they helped make everything feel easy. We can't recommend them enough and when the next project inevitably pops up, we know who we'll be calling. read more

We needed to remodel our kitchen and Progressive was recommended by a neighbor who had recently used them for a full house remodel. I have nothing but good things to say about them! They were so easy to work with from start to finish - provided constant updates and honest estimates on timelines, were quick to address any concerns we had, and most importantly provided a beautiful finished product! Everyone was an absolute pleasure to work with. We will definitely use them again and will happily recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor! read more

Progressive Builders - One week from start to finish, demolition of concrete and planting grass, above and beyond expectations! - General Contractors Near Me - Canoga Park, California

Very pleased with the results for the renovation of our bathrooms, including moving of laundry room between floors. Work was of top quality and in general done efficiently. The only delays in the project, once permits were obtained, were the result of delays in scheduling inspections during the various stages of the project. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

I don't know what you're "striving" to do but it is not all possible that you ever called to tell us that permits were ready to be picked up anywhere, as this job failed inspection and got no permit. Plans either. The first incorrect set was delivered. The rest of the incorrect sets have been emailed. I've never met a building inspector that said he failed something for "no big deal", if you say you have, then you're a bigger liar than I thought. The building inspector said to me that he sees several houses a day and cannot remember them all. He went on to say that I am welcome to call and schedule another inspection with everyone present if I would like. He closed out his email to me by saying, that under no circumstance, would the City of Hayward ever approve framework done with drywall screws. I sincerely doubt he had a sudden recall when you contacted him. I could go on and on. There's nothing correct in your response. This is a rip-off. If you're telling the truth then I challenge you, right here and right now, to post the license information for Carlos and his crew. If he is, in fact, a licensed contractor, then you should have no problem producing that information. Do it here or admit that he doesn't have a license and you breached our contract. read more

This was my first time working with a contractor. Progressive Builders were recommended by a friend who had hired them for bathroom updates so I asked for a bid on our project, which at the time was a room expansion and kitchen/bathroom update. They had the best price so that combined with the recommendation led us to go with them and they really knocked it out of the park. It morphed into a much larger project that touched just about everything. There was never a time where I felt concerned about the work being done - they were always on site with very little down time and the communication was great - calls and messages were usually returned in the same day, if not the same hour so we never had to sit around waiting for responses. Any concerns were addressed without push back and the finished product is so much better than we imagined. We ended up adding several change orders and they were able to accomodate these and stay within a reasonable time frame for finishing everything. Everyone we dealt with were very professional and easy to work with from Arik down to the crews on site. Definitely recommend. read more

The team at Progressive Builders is professional, responsive, friendly, and efficient, all such important features! We got lots of great guidance on the many decisions involved in gutting our 1940's kitchen (including removing the wall between the kitchen and living room) to make a current yet classic great room. The results are beautiful, comfortable, and much more functional than where we started, and giving great value for our investment, too. We are very happy with Progressive Buolders and our new space! read more

Husband and I found Progressive Builders through Yelp. We highly recommend using Progressive Builders for any additions! After meeting with a 3 contractors, Eric was the most professional and the prices given were affordable compared to the other companies that had quoted us. We are so happy with the addition! The work done by Rudy and Jose is amazing! They started in mid July and ended early November. They worked from 8 am-6 pm literally every day except Sunday. We had minor issues along the way but everything was taken care of ASAP. Even after everything was done (months later), I called Eric to have something fixed and he sent out one of the guys that same evening. That goes to show that not only are they professional, affordable, and amazing but they care! Sorry Eric, you're stuck with me! read more

Progressive Builders LA has recently completed our master's bathroom renovation, luxury vinyl tile installation in our master's bedroom & kitchen and window installation led by our SUPER AWESOME Project Manager Lior Ben-David. First of, they have the most competitive quote and we are feel assured that they will do a good job and they actually delivered and exceeded our expectations. Honestly, we never stressed at all with the whole renovation process. David updates us literally everyday on what's going on and what will be the next steps. The workers are extremely skilled and professional. They clean up their work before they leave for the day. My husband and I are really impressed with the outcome. They are also very kind and accommodating fixing other stuff not even in the scope of the project. Actually, they did more than we asked, we really appreciate that and left us an impression that THEY DO CARE for their clients. We can't wait to start another home project and we are definitely choosing them in a heartbeat. read more

We were hoping for an estimate but wasn't able to get it due to unfortunate circumstances on their end. Although there was some lack of communication in the beginning (no text or voicemail), the lady over the phone gave a sincere apology and tried to resolve the issue the best way she could. Unfortunately, we're going to have to move on to a separate contractor but I appreciate the effort to value their potential customers time. Wish them well read more

Do yourself the favor, stop your search right now and call Progressive Builders. I had water damage to my condo and needed to replace the floors, repair drywall, and paint. Trust me, seeing your living space in shambles can be quite traumatizing. From the beginning, Progressive Builders, was the only business that made me feel like they had my best interests in mind and not just wanting to line their pocketbooks. Not only did Ron come out to do the assessment and estimate, he came BACK when he had a completed estimate and met with me in person to deliver it. Other companies merely called and faded into obscurity. Ron worked with me to get the project into a manageable price range, never over-promising; but, instead, being a man of his word and coming through as he said he would. Throughout the duration of the project, Ron was in constant contact, calling several times a day to update me on the progress and to ensure my needs were being met. When there were delays in getting my settlement from the insurance company, Ron proceeded with the project and assured me that I could pay just as soon as I had the funds in place. The start and end times for the project went like clockwork. I was never pressured to make any decisions, whether it be the kind of floors I wanted or the color of paint on the walls. I was always told to take me time and make the best decision I could within the timeframe that I desired. In the end, my apartment looks even better than it did before, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Like I said before, do yourself the favor and call up Progressive Builders, I know I will when I have my next remodeling project! read more

Progressive just completed major repairs/renovations to our large exterior wood deck. The work included the difficult removal and replacement of two badly deteriorated 4x6 structural columns supporting the edge of the deck; removal and replacement of all of the decking screws (which were badly corroded); painting the entire facade and underside; and staining the teak decking. We are extremely happy with all aspects of the work, it was performed quickly and competently. Can't say enough good things about our dealings with Progressive. read more

My family wanted to get their kitchen remodeled when we moved into our new home. A college friend recommended Progressive Builders. I was unsure and hesitant, even when I saw the five star reviews and ratings, but after I had a chance to talk to them - they were nice and friendly, and the prices were inexpensive compared to other companies I heard and called. After I told my family about them, they showed us some potential designs. They were very professional and efficient in getting the job done. I HIGHLY recommend them. read more

Last summer we did a complete redo of our backyard. We had the ugliest yard in Santa Monica and now we have the prettiest! Arik was our contractor and he was great! We had a plan that had some pitfalls, but Arik walked us through each phase and made it all come together. Even months after they completed the work, if we had questions or something small to repair, they were there within days. He's a trustworthy man and, along with Renee, makes the project as low stress as possible. We are now enjoying our backyard more than ever! read more

Before you do any work on your home - large or small - call and meet with Progressive Builders. I was interested in finally doing some upgrading to our home-and met with several recommended companies. Progressive Builders was recommended to me through friends - and after meeting with and interviewing Progressive Builders' owner - I was sold. He was caring, professional and had great ideas and very reasonable costs. I couldn't be happier With the remodel to our powder room as well as other smaller jobs in our house. All the workers were courteous, showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves- so the process was much less stressful than I imagined. read more

It was apparent from the beginning that any new design combining the kitchen and dining room into one grand room would require altering and/or resizing windows. This might seem a trivial matter; except when the house, built in the 1920s, is subject to a Historic Society's strict requirements. Of the contractors we talked to only Progressive Builders' project manager, Eric, took this matter seriously, as he knew it could have a design and scheduling effect if not addressed at the very start. This attention to details was not lost in our decision in choosing Progressive Builders. Progressive Builders are professional in all the disciplines it took to produce a great product. It was very impressive how efficiently the bearing wall was removed and structurally reinforced. Eric showed us examples of previous similar work they had done, which was most reassuring. Experience does count. Attention to details, from custom cabinets, granite on the island, quartz on counter tops, choice of flooring, ceiling and hanging lighting, moldings and different paint requirements, etc., are visually reflected in the project. And items such as electrical, plumbing, H & AC duct work, etc., that are not readily visible but still require the same level of attention is necessary to complete the project. Cost, scheduling and change orders were always discussed and agreed upon in a timely manner with Eric so as to have minimal effect on the schedule. All who have seen the new kitchen have been truly impressed. Included are a couple of before & after pictures. read more

We hired Progressive Builders to completely remodel our home and not only did they do a fantastic job but they were an amazing group of people to work with. From the moment we met Eric he took the time to walk us through every detail of our project and made sure we were comfortable with the entire scope of work. While other contractors quoted un-detailed summary bids, Eric quoted every piece of the job so there would be no confusion at the end. On the actual project, Eric and his team were incredible to work with. Christian led the on site team and was patient, detail oriented and incredibly kind. Enough cannot be said for Renee who runs the office and is incredibly responsive. I don't think more then 2 hours went by between any of my questions and a thoughtful response from Renee no matter the time of day. Progressive Builders remodeled our kitchen, completely redid our 3 bathrooms, re-floored and re-painted our entire house and we think the results speak for themselves . Please feel free to ask Eric and Renee to let us provide a reference - we would be more than happy to do so. From beginning to end - a great experience read more

Two years ago i was looking for a replacement sunroom for my home and met Ron Vankin. I was very pleased with his professionalism, courtesy and timely follow through. The job was well done and when I had a small leak the following year due to torrential rains, one call to Ron solved the problem. In a matter of days he had workers come check and reseal the area. This caused me to call Ron again this year when starting home repair projects. He brought Arik out to help me plan and give an estimate. We've just completed phase 1 of 3 that I wish to do. I got my exterior stucco and eves/facia repaired then painted with cool coat paint. In addition, I had a window and rotted sill replaced and replaced gutters. The crews they provided were timely, hard workers that were very nice and cleaned up well at the of each day. This was a vast improvement over past painters I've used! Even a couple neighbors that were watching the progress came over to speak to them about potential new jobs. Being a homeowner that must start a renovation brings to mind that old film, The Money Pit. All jobs seem to cost more and take longer than promised. Ron takes the stress out of dealing with various contractors, keeps the project moving timely and drives out to check on it personally. I appreciated his efforts and friendly personality with my family. It was also nice to deal with Arik and Renee. read more

Let me start by saying that I am a perfectionist. I tend to research, research, and then research my research. So when it came time for my husband and I to find a general contractor to perform a remodel on a condo we purchased, I wanted to get tons and tons of bids before settling on one. We set about gathering our bids, and contacted highly reviewed companies that we found through Houzz and yelp. Of all the contractors that we interviewed, Eric at Progressive Builders set himself apart from an early stage. He was extremely prompt, listened to exactly what we wanted, clearly understood our vision, and delivered a highly competitive bid to us within a day or two of visiting. The scope of our remodel was a full gut kitchen demo, new tile floors in the kitchen, new backsplash, new cabinetry, relocating electrical outlets, tons of drywall patching to cover the holes that an electrician we had hired earlier made to install recessed lights, and skim coating and painting our entire 1700 square foot condo. As part of the kitchen remodel, we really wanted to lower a pony wall that formed a breakfast counter and really closed off our kitchen. Literally every other contractor that we invited to give bids before we met with Progressive told us that this could not be done. They each had a different reason for why they didn't think it could be done. Someone told us there is wiring there, someone else told us there was special piping there, and ultimately - nobody but Progressive Builders was able to give us what we wanted - a flush peninsula that would open up our kitchen to the living room. As I write this, I am admiring our stunning kitchen WITH a lowered pony wall that everyone else said was impossible to achieve - all thanks to Eric, Christian, Renee and their team of hard workers at Progressive Builders. Aside from being extremely professional during the bidding stage, Eric and his team were all over our project from start to finish. They quoted us 5-6 weeks for the entire scope and they were right on time. We had an especially big time crunch because I was 6 months pregnant at the time and we had to be out of our apartment by August 31st. The team at Progressive worked late, on weekends, and expertly coordinated the various trades and final touch ups to get us moved in on time. Renee was particularly understanding of our situation and made sure the team made up for any delays to keep us going on schedule. Now, this review isn't centered solely on this company's professionalism. The quality of their work and expertise in their various trades is very evident from the final product that they deliver. I'll admit, I was a little bit nervous signing a contract for such a high dollar amount without knowing the quality of kitchen cabinetry we would be receiving (since that was a major portion of the kitchen contract cost). But Eric explained the entire process to us upfront, and brought in a kitchen designer who took precise measurements and brought us the actual sample cabinet doors to choose from. Now that our kitchen is finished, I absolutely love the cabinets! They're durable, high-quality, and are backed with a craftsmanship warranty. Additionally, their skimcoat and paint work is truly top-notch. Christian, another general contractor that works with Eric, was at our job site routinely and was always responsive to our questions or concerns. I could call him or Eric any time and they would answer their phones or get back to me on the same day. Renee, from their main office, also answered all of my logistical questions and kept up-to-date on our progress. As with any major construction project, little things do go wrong. There was never anything major that held us up, but if there was ever an issue - Eric and Christian immediately notified us, already had a proposed solution ready to go, and would schedule the fixes immediately. This goes such a long way in building trust, and for a project that was scheduled to last 5 to 6 weeks, trust is very important. There was even one night very early in our project where our air conditioner was leaking (through what I later learned was no fault of Progressive). Our HOA was giving us trouble, and without even an ounce of hesitation, both Eric and Christian drove over late at night to address the problem and help us out. They truly went above and beyond to fix our issue, even though it was outside of the scope of our contract and was an unforeseen problem. What other general contractor would do that? They treat you like family here. Ultimately, I can't recommend Progressive Builders highly enough. They stayed on time, on budget, and delivered an extremely high-quality remodel for us. We absolutely love our newly remodeled home! Someday we hope to remodel our bathrooms as well, and when that day comes we will be giving Progressive Builders our first call. Thank you, Eric, Christian, and Renee for everything! read more

A total waste of time for us! Their telemarketer called us to make an appointment and Topaz the project manager showed up. Eric, Miki and Renee are all great examples of excellent customer service and going above and beyond, even before we selected a contractor! Eric and Miki came to look at the house and take measurements for their quote. While they were there, the power went out on one half of the house. I was alone at the time, and it was getting dark. They took it upon themselves to investigate the problem because they did not want to leave me without power. They sent for an electrician on their team who came over asap and fixed it. After much deliberation, we decided to go with another contractor who bid lower. That turned out to be a bad choice and we will definitely call Progressive for future projects. read more
