i reached out to them by yelp and was given a number to call to discuss the job and quote. i called the number multiple times and no response. given the reviews, i was really hoping for a quick response as the reviews indicated as well as a fair price but i have yet to hear back from the despite multiple attempts to reconnect. maybe the job i had for them was too small for them to take on. will be looking for a new general contractor i guess. edit after owner's comment: i am absolutely NOT about going after business simply to leave negative reviews, and it is pretty appalling that as a business owner, without having done any further follow up with a potential client, you would jump to this conclusion first. it took you over 24 hours to get me the correct number to call back, and since then i have called multiple times AND left voicemails with my name, number, and the approximate work i wanted to discuss with you over voicemail and i still got NO response. i am not going to leave my number on this review for privacy but i have called multiple times, the most recent one on 2/7 where i left a detailed voicemail and there was no response. im glad that many other reviews reported a much better experience but its also concerning that the same service is not extended to every client. i hope that this does not happen to other clients in the future but over a week of no follow up or response and such a malicious comment to a review, i will be looking elsewhere. read more

I am writing prematurely because in talking with Victor Armas (the owner), I was impressed with his professionalism, responsiveness and willingness to help which is not something you often find in all general contractors (I've contacted many who said they would provide an estimate and never followed through, didn't quote correctly, etc.). Victor has gone above and beyond in his responsiveness and willingness to do what's best for me as a potential client, regardless of what contractor we choose. I think this goes a long way in terms of his character. In terms of cost, he seems to be middle of the road from other quotes I've received but provides confidence he can get it done to your specifications. Victor Armas is a nice guy who is very good at what he does. His rates are reasonable. We had him remodel our kitchen at a very good price. He was kind enough to loan us a stove while the work was being done since ours was removed. In addition the cabinet installer left a gap between a cabinet and the ceiling at one corner. He caulked such gap but I protested it would not hold. Victor measured the ceiling level and indicated it had shifted and thus new dry wall was needed in such area. He did not charge me extra for the repair but asked me to provide the paint needed which I did. Some years later our cabinets had worn and he had them refinished by a guy who did outstanding work. We have also had him repair our gates and solve a wall problem caused by a tree root. He hires subcontractors who do very good work. Most are primarily Spanish speaking thus it does help to speak a little Spanish. Victor is a member of the Better Business Bureau which is rare for many contractors. read more
