This review is a long time coming! Edgar and his team replaced a large portion of the flat roof at my mother's house last April. This was after another totally reckless roofer did an awful botch job, causing loads of rain to come flooding into the house. Edgar was honest and straightforward about what needed doing, and his team worked super hard to get the job done quickly. They were on site from 7am each day and cleaned up before they left . Had a couple minor roof leaks this past rain called secured Roofing to quote me on repair They sent a rep .. communication was tough .. some mention of his "boss" doing the quote ?? The rep went on the roof to inspect then he proceeded to pull on & peel back the shingles..exposing the roof .. I asking him to stop from below .. he leaves the shingles pulled away from the plywood on the roof comes down and tells me that's how they inspect the roof leaves them lifted up !! I get on the phone call the company demand that the "boss" comes over .. he does he tries to tell me that's how they inspect roofs, but he glues them back down at my insistence I would STAY AWAY from this roofing company!! We have a metal roof and we needed to replace a broken roof turbine that had been banging loudly whenever it was windy. We called many roofing companies. Many of them didn't want to work with a metal roof. Others gave us ridiculous quotes. One company said they would have to replace the entire roof. We got quotes--to replace 1 broken roof turbine--of $2500, $1500. We were getting ripped off. We called maybe 20 different roofers before finding Secured Roofing. We just had our roof and gutters replaced. We received four different estimates, and Edgar's was the most competitive, by a lot. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about his trade. The job was permitted and Edgar took care of that. The completed work looks great, specially the gutters. The job consisted of tearing down the old shingles and they were replaced with the LA City Code confirming shingles, which are supposed to be better at reflecting solar radiation. Edgar also installed a solar powered attic fan which I can verify (from going into the attic,) that it works extraordinarily better than the old-school turbine fans. The new roof definitely helps to keep the house cooler. Our air conditioning usage has gone down, instead of kicking on at around 9am it goes on at around 1pm. From the moment we reached out to Secured Roofing through Yelp we were pleased. Edgar Raymondo, visited our home the same day to give us a verbal estimate followed by a written one. We obtained a total of four estimates, Secured Roofing had a competitive bid, they were the most responsive, patient and friendliest. The decision making process wasn't easy since some of the other contractors came out with laptops showing us their training programs, colorful laminated photos of projects, and photos of their corporate headquarters etc...but, when we would reach out to them with a question, we wouldn't hear back for a day or two. I'm so blessed to find these guys after multiple people and no shows. I had a leak in the roof from a horrible job in the past. Not only was edger knowledgeable but explain to me ever step, and explained it in a way that I could understand as a home owner. Edgers, men showed up, with 3 people for a roof leak.
