I was doing research into what places offered the best Prego in Lisbon and this place was listed in the Top 6.
We made the trek from the Chiado area on foot and we finally found the restaurant near the base of the bridge. We fortunately beat the crowd to this restaurant as we were able to get a table for 4 right away, but that was also the last time we received any timely service from the staff. It took about 10 minutes to get a menu (only after the table next to us ordered and didn't need their menu anymore). After getting the menu, it was another 15-20 minutes before someone took our order... I normally would have left, but I was there to try their Prego.
When the food finally arrived, I think the expectation, plus the level of service really set the bar in all the wrong places. The Prego was good, don't get me wrong, but was it worth the waiting, No. Maybe the staff was overwhelmed, but it honestly felt like they could really give a sh--.
Anyways, it's a good spot to go to if you're in the area, but I'm not sure it's worth seeking out... read more
