Had a great dining experience here for a friends birthday. They were very kind in leaving a birthday card for my friend at the table. They also brought us (group of 4) a complimentary champagne glass to cheers to my friend. They were also very nice about us bringing in an outside dessert, all I did was call to ask and make sure that was ok. Waiters were very attentive and filled water glasses extremely frequently. We ordered delicious cocktails, they had a wide variety of gin cocktails which I loved! Many of the hors d'oeuvres were delicious especially the venison pate tartines. I ordered starters as my meal because unfortunately I felt the entrees available were lacking options I liked and it felt limited. Entree options were only fish or meats I don't eat (pork). I am still happy with the starters that served as my meal especially the tortellini pasta. But with them being starters they're a bit smaller versus getting an entree. Parking and accessing the building wasn't bad, they do have a small parking lot so spots can be limited. I found the atmosphere to be nice and not overly loud but perfect noise level. Good first experience here, most likely I would come again for a special occasion or date night!

My wife and I had dinner here after Mass to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated promptly upon arrival and ordered a couple of cocktails and Mayport shrimp and bread service to start. For the Mains, I had the ribeye and my wife had the monkfish. I wanted my steak medium, but still received medium rare (pic doesn't do justice). My wife's monkfish tasted bland. For dessert, we had the Amaretto soufflé. Enjoyed the dessert. Food wait was just way tooooooo long and the place was loud. So much for having an intimate evening. Our dinner (3-course) took a couple of hours long and we didn't even have the tasting menu. Food was overpriced for the amount you get especially the Mayport Shrimp $18 and tiny bread for $9. Walked out still a little hungry.

Celebrated our anniversary here on a Friday night. We were greeted warmly by the staff and seated right away since we have a reservation. Our table has 2 glasses of champagne and a card for us, very sweet of them. We started the evening with their Mayport Shrimp and House Bread. We both enjoyed the buttery and soft bread but the shrimps were just okay. We also had drinks, Mai Tai (so good!) for me and a cider for the hubs. For the main course, which came maybe after almost an hour of wait, I ordered the Monkfish. I didn't particularly like the flavor overall, but the side of veggies were tasty. My husband is a meat eater so he got the Ribeye, it was good but the portion, in my opinion, is small for the price. We both loved the Amaretto Soufflé. It was not a very good experience because of the wait and the portion of the food, The place is also quite loud, and not a very intimate place for a date night. Great service from our server though.

We ended up here one evening on short notice and they were able to accommodate us thankfully as we showed up right as they were opening. The vibe of this restaurant is super relaxed, the kind of place where you can have a relaxing cocktail or two with friends you haven't seen in a long time. The service was absolutely 5*. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and we easily made allowances for our kids to have some simplified options. Our appetizers were refreshing and the drinks were fantastic as well. Dinner was just perfect. Rue is the best restaurant we have been to in Jacksonville. Hopefully we will be returning soon.

Date night at Rue Saint Marc was on point and delicious. We opted for two of only 4 spots available @ the bar where you can watch all the action of the talented chefs preparing extraordinary dishes. Our server/bartender Ben was knowledgeable and efficient. We started with the foie gras and a wonderful dry riesling, recommended by Ben, and both were excellent. Hubby had the sausages and said it was flavorful and good. I had the shrimp it was creamy, tender and gobbled up. Bread service was a brown bread with a touch a cinnamon, delicious. We have been here before and will definitely be back. Service and ambiance top notch!

Amazing innovative menu. Top notch service. Free ample parking on site. Classy ambiance. We went for a tasting menu dinner where the choice of dishes were up to the chef. We had a five course meal excluding the amuse bouche. The portion sizes were appropriate for a 2 hour tasting experience. It's worth a reservation for a special occasion or extravagant night out!

Everything was very good and I would definitely go back. The food customer service and everything is always very good.

Adorable, romantic, cozy little restaurant in the heart of San Marco. Parking can be a challenge in this area but they have a few dedicated spots in front. Cocktails are all so amazing here. There is an extensive craft cocktail menu, organized by liquor which is appreciated. If you're not sure what you want, the servers are great at recommending a drink based on your preferred flavor profile. Gabby at the bar can even create something outstanding that's sure to impress. The chef's tasting experience is such a treat! It's definitely a splurge and not large portions but it's such a fun and special experience, especially for groups. It's not rushed and allows plenty of time for socialization between courses. The wine pairings are always amazing and have given us the chance to try new delicious wines that we otherwise would not have chosen. I always forgot to take pictures of each dish because I'm so excited to dig in.

Amazing tasting menu, impeccable service, and a quaint dining room that's perfect for an intimate dinner with your significant other! We walked in on a Saturday evening prior to a concert and we were pleasantly surprised that a table was available because we were expecting a bar seat at best! There are two choices on the weekend evenings so be prepared for either a 3 course prefix or 5 course tasting experience. We chose the 5 courses with wine pairing and we were beyond pleased with that choice. The wait staff did an excellent job explaining each course and introducing each pairing. Every course was delicious and meticulously prepared and served. I wish I was a millionaire so I could make this a weekly visit! I wish the pictures came with taste and smell options because you would be in for a treat! For your next date night please consider Rue!

One of my favorite dining experiences in Northeast Florida! I highly recommend the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. I'm talking fine dining at it's best with a highly trained knowledgable staff, artfully prepared food synchronized service, and exquisite wines. Everything we enjoyed was impeccably prepared, with fresh, quality ingredients, and so much attention to detail. One of my favorite bites is always the Pommes Paillasson with choice crème, trout roe, and nori furikake seasoning. Y'all, it's the fanciest little tater tot you've ever eaten. The craft cocktail menu is also fabulous. The Patio Pounder is one of my seasonal favorites - refreshing and delicious. Make your reservation today and experience all that Rue Saint Marc has to offer.

A Christmas Day with a View to Remember - for sure…read more.. My son now lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and for Christmas Day he wanted to do something fun and festive. After searching around, he snagged a reservation at St. George in St. Augustine, right across from the fort--and honestly, that alone set the stage for a special evening. St. Augustine was packed (as expected for Christmas and Nights of Lights), and the restaurant itself is on the cozy side. There are only a few tables downstairs, which also houses the kitchen and bar, while the main dining area is upstairs along with a balcony. We truly lucked out because we landed what felt like the best table in the house--right in the center of the upstairs balcony, overlooking the fort and the Christmas trolleys rolling by for the Night of Lights parade. That view absolutely made the night magical. Service-wise, our waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming--lots of smiles and great energy. That said, some of the banter felt a bit overdone. For example, we were told there were over 600 reservations that day, which felt a little hard to believe given the restaurant size and table turnover. Still, we did feel lucky to be there, especially on such a busy holiday. Food and drinks were good, though not necessarily standout for the price point. Wine pours and menu pricing were fair, but not what I'd typically expect for a really great glass of wine or a beautifully plated meal. However--the absolute highlight of the night was the prime rib. They had just made a fresh batch, and you could tell. The cut was massive, incredibly fresh, and honestly large enough to share between the three of us, which worked perfectly since we weren't super hungry. We shared an appetizer, enjoyed the prime rib, had a couple glasses of wine, and called it a night--simple and satisfying. Overall, I'd rate this experience between a 3.5 and 4, but I'm giving it a solid 4 stars because it was Christmas Day, incredibly busy, and the staff handled it all with great attitudes and smiles. Would I return? That's still up in the air. It feels a bit pricey for what you get, and I might explore other options next time--but hey, it is St. Augustine. All in all, it was a good night, made special by spending Christmas together and enjoying a truly beautiful, unforgettable view.

Which is find as it a holiday, however, after we paid the reservation they contacted us 4 more times to confirm we were still attending. This was super annoying. I am very picky eater, but I was really excited about getting the cauliflower steak. When we showed up, we were advised that there was a holiday menu. There was no mention of this on their website at booking time or in the FIVE TIMES they contacted us. My girlfriend was really looking forward to a seafood option and they didn't have it either. I had to get a plan salad without any protein, even after the waiter asked if I wanted protein on it and I advised I would like chicken. Also when we were seated, we were seated at tiny high top table in the bar area, even though we made reservations in the dining and there were four empty two person tables. We had to sit next to the blender all night and it was loud. The food was average, but the place was so disorganized it ruined dinner. Would avoid!!! I wish I could give this place zero stars.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Been searching for a decent brunch in…read morethe area and my wife suggested Woodside. My experience is that many places just don't deliver the quality expected and I'm often disappointed. I'll have to say, Woodside delivered! This place is clearly elevated, elegant, and the food is prepared with culinary skill. From the moment we stepped inside, I could tell the atmosphere was classy and quaint. We were greeted by our server Buddy and the bartender. My instincts were that this was going to be good. I was still cautious. Buddy seated us appropriately and brought us menus and filtered water. We both started with coffee and to my surprise Buddy brought a large urn of French press coffee, whole cream and sugar cubes, I absolutely love French Press coffee but rarely see it at a restaurant. I make it at home and it definitely adds to the enjoyment of a good cup of coffee. Definitely a step above here. We looked at the brunch menu and found it hard to decide as there were so many interesting selections that I wanted to try. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the Croque Madame. As I deliberated, Buddy suggested that I'd stick with my first impression and that I would not be disappointed. I thought it was very classy the way he presented that and it makes sense that sometimes one should go with their first instinct, rather than wonder if they made the right choice later. Again, there were just so many things I wanted to try. When our meals came out, we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. This was not ordinary breakfast, but I had a good price point for what you get. It was really about the same cost as most breakfast places on the island, but such higher quality and sophistication. I can honestly say this was the best brunch experience I've had in many years and we've frequent a lot of places. The Croque was so tasty, complex and abundant and even the french fries were excellent. My wife's Benedict was also very special as it was rich, fresh, and absolutely clear it was prepared by a chef. The Latkas were a tasty complement. Overall, this was an outstanding experience and I just didn't want to leave. I can't wait to return for dinner to experience it. I believe the menu changes daily and I would definitely recommend Woodside as an elevated dining experience. I am happy to rate this a true 5.0 as it is the best food I've had in the Brunswick/SSI area over the past 6 months. Buddy was great and clearly understands service etiquette. First off, this place is tiny, I doubt they even seat 40, so reservations are a must. I admit, I wasn't aware of the policy and wandered in without one, late on a Thursday night, after a workshop at the Cummer. They were kind enough to let me grab a seat at the bar, but that was definitely a one off. As someone who is practically allergic to planning, having to make reservations, IN ADVANCE - GASP! may be difficult for me, but completely worth it I prefer to eat tapas style, because I enjoy having a few bites of a number of different things with varied flavors and textures, but since I was on my own, I was a bit limited with how much I could order and eat. I got the zanahorias, an absolute flavor bomb, with raw carrot ribbons, saturated in vinegar, olive oil and Moroccan spices, topped with sweet sultanas and crunchy almonds for contrast and the freshness of cilantro. Then I moved on to the tomato and cucumber salad, served over a dill whipped cheese, garnished with coucous, sprigs of dill and pickled onions. I think I should have had it come out first, because it was light and fresh and lovely, but didn't hold up to the intensity of flavors of the zahorias. I also would have liked just a little bit of sea salt to sprinkle over the tomatoes, but that's just a personal preference. Lastly, I got the shrimp pil-pil, which is usually offered as an octopus dish, but was being served with shrimp that night. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and I basically wanted an entire loaf of their homemade baguette to soak up all that garlicky oil, but my absolute favorite thing was that bright, lemony aioli. It reminded me of a dish that I had in Nice years ago and made me question why I don't put aioli on everything. I was too full to get dessert, but I'm looking forward to going back, hopefully with a group, so I can try more of the menu.
