Neue Auto is a rip off and I'm still so pissed off about this that I finally decided to post it…read more This incident actually occurred in 2023 when I had a Kia Forte, which I no longer have because the repairs that they charged me over $800 for were not effective. On top of that, they would not let me take my car home that Friday (because I worked weekends) or they were gonna charge me an additional $150 to RE-assess my vehicle AGAIN that Monday. So in addition to the $847.80 that they charged me I had to rent a car which costed me an additional hundred something dollars. My car kept dying as I was driving, and I had previously had a AAA read out that said that my alternator was fine. Neue Auto insisted that it was the alternator and the serpentine belt that needed to be replaced and guaranteed their work. I authorized them to do the work because they insisted they were the professionals, but this did not fix the problem. I attempted to remedy this with the manager and instead of doing things in writing so I could have documentation he insisted on calling and trying to smooth talk his way out of the promises that his business made. Needless to say I had to replace the vehicle. The reason that I am saying that they're a rip off, is not only because the vehicle was still presenting the same problems, but also because this is what they sent me as "proof" that my alternator was not working. Please keep in mind they never actually gave me this receipt for the readout, and it's stapled to a bunch of other receipts that I have no idea what they are. To sum it up, avoid Neue A uto or risk unethical business practices that don't actually fix your vehicle but still take your money. I would've given them zero stars, but that's not possible.

Either way, with over 200k miles on it, it was going to be (hopefully) less expensive to swap the engine. I called around and Rockys miraculously said they had a used engine that just came in, and they could work on it later in the week. Unfortunately, if turned out that the engine wasn't exactly compatible. To try to make a very long story short, I ended up leaving my truck there for almost 2 months. I had to order am engine from the mainland that took 1 month to arrive. Once it did, they worked on it right away, and it was done within a week. They did have to change out several items from it, for to is age, but I finally got it back, and it's working great. The overall cost was a bit higher than expected, but it is what it is. The only reason for not giving them 5 stars is for to the fact that they didn't realize that they didn't have a compatible engine in the beginning, so I wasted 3 weeks, and spent over $600 in car rental fees, before finding out they didn't have a compatible one, and I needed to order an engine. At least the work is done, my truck is running great, and they were very responsive the entire time. They do great work.

I drive an older solid Toyota and with age, small details come up. As I was parking, my stick shift went completely "buttery loose " and it wasn't taking the command to Park, Reverse, or Drive.
