Horrible personnel. Called in referred by a close acquaintance and the gentleman was very rude and snobby, told me to call main office, didn't care to help. Will also love to point out that employee has road rage. I've encountered that man a few times, has no regard for other vehicles or is considerate of road conditions. Despite the professionalism I hear from this company, I can't say their customer service from their employee's lives up to it. If it may help, please discipline that man. After waiting for Corky's (which at the time we were customers of) for over a month to get them to come out and do a termite service on a specific location in one of our apartments (mind you we had an appointment) they said someone (who?) cancelled the appointment. I was livid and immediately fired Corky's for our regular pest control service and then researched a new Termite company. While discussing new service with Dunbar Pest Control, he referred me to Ruddock's and I am so happy he did. Great, honest company. I was told by another national pest control company I have termite problems and they wanted $2000 to fix. I wanted a second opinion, I saw the good reviews of Ruddock on yelp so I called. They were friendly, easy to schedule, came on time, and did a much more detailed inspection then the other company. Ruddock's people (Louie) told me I don't have an issue and they wouldn't recommend any treatment at this time. Keep in mind the inspection was free. To me this is an honest company and someone I will happily return to for any and all future business. I wanted to take the time to thank Ruddock and the team and wanted to leave a great review. If I could give 10 Stars, I would. Mr. John Ruddock is not just an outstanding company, but it is a company who gives you personal service and treats you like family. I sent Mr. John Ruddock a picture of my baseboards, not sure what was going on. He immediately diagnosed it as "subterranean termites" and said that he could send out an inspector in hour. The inspector showed up, gave me a report and John gave me a fantastic and reasonable price. The next day, the work was performed. They were also able to do the wood repair and I literally could lay down in bed and just rest and not worry about a single thing. Mr. Ruddock took such great care of me and my problem, that I needed to reach out and let others know that this is a company that really cares. It's like the good ole days. He's knowledgeable for sure; I asked him many questions and each was answered directly and with just the right amount of information. Even more than his knowledge base is his kind nature. He was also so completely respectful of my apartment and my time, I couldn't wait to write this review. The last service people that were in my rented apartment left much to be desired including (but not limited to) dings in the floor, missing hardware and grime. Louie was prompt, clear, and kind. His inspection of my unit was thorough and he really got into any space he could. Then, after looking at the unit, he asked to see the garage and found subterranean termites in a dark corner. His estimate and the final quoted price were reasonable compared to the one other company I considered. Finally, Beverly, the office manager is great -- easy to work with, quick with emails, and kind. No one wants to deal with termites, especially during a pandemic, but Ruddock's made it all manageable. Update: Luis and his assistant who came out to do the work were awesome. I am having the outside of my house painted and the painter found a few areas that had termites in the wood that was going to be painted. Not having any experience in this area I called Ruddock's Termite Control in Van Nuys, California. The woman that answered the phone transferred me to Louie, who has been in this business for many years. He readjusted his schedule so he could come out to my house in less then 48 hours. Louie showed up right on time, and actually did the termite Treatment himself. A totally professional job from a very professional company at a very reasonable price. We had an inspection done with ruddocks where Louis came out to the house. I had made it clear that I wanted the fascia boards removed and I thought it was understood that it would be done. We received the estimate and set a time for the work to be completed. Today was the day the work was supposed to be done. They did not remove the fascia boards the said they will only treat. I called Louis and talked to him and explained that I thought it was agreed upon for them to remove the fascia boards. But even if they can't I want them to still treat. He said he would call them and let me know. Instead they simply left without any notice I called the office to see what was happening where I spoke to John. He told me that fascia wasn't agreed upon and the job was canceled when I told him I would've still wanted to do treatment he said he was sorry and that was the end of the conversation. Gerson has been available for me whenever I needed him. I have rats so he came and checked for ways they were getting in and he set traps. He came back every 3 days to check traps. Once he had just left here and I hear a trap go off. I called him and he came back at once. That's service!
