I went sunday around lunch time with my family. We were meeting another family there. It was our first time. The sunday brunch was going on - which was a nice surprise! It was deliscious! The brunch had many breakfast options: chicken with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pasta, etc etc. Everything i would eat basically! Its definitely pricey so i probably wont go often. Im not sure why people are hating on Ruby Tuesday. Where is the love for that beautiful salad bar?! We used to go to one of these in Cedar Rapids when I was a kid and devour salads. We were devastated when it closed. As a new DSM resident, I was ecstatic to find out there was a Ruby Tuesday here! We all ordered the salad bar and loaded our plates with all sorts of goodies. Our waiter was great. We told him no straws, and he immediately knew we wanted to help save the turtles! He was super attentive even though we had the salad bar and could help ourselves to food. I had a great experience here, and you can sure bet I will be back for more beautiful salad bar. read more

Went there for an Anniversary dinner on a Thursday night. Place was not busy but we waited for quite some time to place our order. Hostess that seated us never said anything other than asked how many in our party, very rude manner. Finally placed our order. Food eventually came. Husband ordered a 6 oz Ribeye steak but what he got was not even 1/4 inch thick and covered in what looked like butter. Came with a baked potato. For a meal that cost $18.49 plus tax and tip, it was a terrible waste of money and he left still hungry. What a joke. Our waitress took our order, brought the food, walked by several times but never once made eye contact or asked how the meal was or refilled our drinks. After we were finished we waited at least 15-20 minutes to get our bill and another 5 or more to pay. No thank you, nothing- just swiped the card, got a signature and left the table. The food wasn't good... but what was most memorable was the General Manager. The GM was initially very friendly until my party requested another table away from two infants. The minor inconvenience of requesting a different table brought out a rudeness I haven't witnessed elsewhere. After our meal was delivered, my party was able to witness the GM arguing very loudly with an upset customer on the phone. Evidently the GM thought their title and behavior was impressive as he projected his voice for the entire establishment to hear and reiterated his title. At the end of our meal I tipped the server extremely well and told him that his man-child of a boss was surely costing him tips at other tables and encouraged them to quit as they deserve to work for an adult. read more

Looking forward to a nice lunch with family this past week. My brother really likes Ruby Tuesday's so I picked up my 80 year old dad and off we went. Greeted and sat right away. Good start. Immediately had to change my chair as there was food on my chair. Ordered steak and salad bar. Salad bar was fantastic. However, my steak and mashed potatoes were swimming in liquids (blood as well, which made the potatoes bloody). This was not appetizing at all. I ate 3 bites of it and 2 bites of potatoes from the top. I just couldn't stomach it. My dad order ribs and they were out of them. Really? It's 12:15 lunch time during a week day (restaurant wasn't even close to packed) and they were out of them? Did they even make them that day? I could have griped over my steak and potatoes but was embarrassed to do so in front of my dad. Also, my steak was was on my brothers plate and his on mine. I had medium and here had well done. Don't think I'll be going back. So disappointed. On another note, I know why my chair had food in it. While sitting watching my family eat their lunch, I watched the hostess wash several tables. She would come over and move the dirty dishes to one area of the table. Next, she would spray and wipe down the rest of the table. Yep, wiped down a portion and wiped the contents of crumbs etc. on to the floor and chairs. Someone would later come and remove the dirty dishes. Much smaller establishment than our local one in Winter Haven, FL. Food was great and tasted like what we are used to. However, their beers on tap were very mediocre and happy hour prices was only for the domestic light beers. The bar tender filled our mugs and was mostly foam. The best part about Ruby Tuesday is the salad bar! Always fresh and delicious, with plenty to choose from. The cooked entrees are about average. But then there's the dessert! The only one I've tried is the key lime cake... and that's because I can't get enough! It's so moist and flavorful, and topped with lavender-infused blueberries. I love the Ruby Tuesday's croutons (are they rye?) not sure but yum. WARNING....they have some VERY crisp bacon at the salad bar. Don't get me wrong I love crisp bacon, but this bacon was almost crystallized. I think that they cooked the bacon then put it on ice directly which created a kind of bacon lollipop rock candy....sounds good right? Not when you bite into it with your front tooth...my wife almost chipped hers. The rest of the food was okay....definitely a cut above applebees but not much. At least they actually made their food onsite which is definitely more than I can say for applebees. It is priced about the same as applebees but the food quality is definitely better. I had the sliders and salad bar combo which in my opinion is a great option as I am quite full after my first trip through the salad bar. I have visited this location 3 times now, and have been satisfied with all of my visits. I have never had an issue with service on any of my visits. While the food has never exactly wowed me, I have had a couple of dishes that I would recommend to anyone frequenting the restaurant. On all of my trips I first sat at the bar while waiting for a table, and I was served promptly on every occasion. I can't stand waiting forever for a beer while I'm already waiting for a table. While the TVs aren't the most convenient to view, I can live with it considering it's not a place I'm going to catch a game. I have never had to wait long for a table, and service has always been fast and friendly. On my last visit we had the southwestern spring rolls for a starter, which disappeared rather quickly because they were so tasty. For an entree I ordered the herb-encrusted tilapia and was extremely satisfied. Ordering seafood in the Midwest from a chain restaurant that doesn't specialize in seafood can be an adventure, but I was extremely satisfied with my meal. My fiancee was looking for a healthy option for an entree, and ordered the spaghetti squash marinara. She was so satisfied with her meal that she claimed she would try to make the same dish weekly at home. Unfortunately neither of us had room for dessert but, if it fell in line with the rest of the meal, I'm sure it would have been delicious. Excellent service, I haven't been to this restaurant in about 5 years so I don't even remember my previous experience. I ordered crispy chicken sandwich with a salad bar and my fiancé ordered bourbon bacon burger with a salad bar. I am a big salad bar fan so I really enjoyed the variety and freshness of the salad bar. My chicken sandwich was tasty and I tried a bite of the burger which was also flavorful. The garden bar is very good. If all Ruby Tuesday sold were the rye croutons on their salad bar, my wife would still come here for them. The not-too-pickled beets were also excellent, and the little biscuits, while still not Red Lobster level, were better than I remember them being. My smokehouse burger was very good, as was my wife's turkey burger. (She says--i didn't eat it, of course.). Can't vouch for dessert--no way could we tamp down the burgers enough to get it to fit. Bland, poor food presentation. My parents treated me to lunch today, a lovely gesture. However, the food was not so lovely. I had the fried popcorn shrimp with grilled zucchini and the salad bar. The shrimp tasted like unseasoned fried breading and nothing else. Zucchini was fine. My parents meals were mediocre. It took almost 10 minutes for someone to seat us but then the waiter was right there and very attentive. This is my 3rd try at Ruby Tuesdays and all three times I left still hungry because I couldn't finish the meal. Had it not been for the good salad bar and waiter my review would be less than zero! The menu is HUGE with about 70 items available. If they get a new chef I would be willing to try it again but I won't hold my breath. read more

We had a great experience there on Saturday, July 2, 2018. The restaurant was busy, but not swamped. We had an excellent server who checked in on us just the right amount. It's one of our pet peeves when servers check on us too much or are so scarce you can't find them when you need them. We got burgers and they were really good. Disappointed in my dining experience at Ruby Tuesdays. My husband and I ordered steaks, which was considered one of their signature entrees, and it was horrible. We both ordered our steaks medium and they were both super bloody and I could stick my finger through it without it being too hot when they came out. I sent mine back and asked if they could cook it longer because it was not done medium. It came pack well done and tough. The food in general seemed low quality compared what it used to be. I have been here before and thought things were pretty good, but the steaks were fatty and crummy looking. The waitress was just ok.. See, I view their food offerings as comparable to an Applebee's or a chilis, except Ruby Tuesdays seems slightly more expensive. Like, I'm paying a premium for Applebee's quality food. Plus, they don't really offering anything "different" meaning nothing exactly makes them unique. Except maybe their free little biscuits. They don't specialize in anything. At least even with chilis they focus on Tex/Mex or whatever for the most part. Ruby Tuesday tries to do it all ok, but doesn't do anything good or great. Now, if all else was equal like mentioned but they made their salad bar free/included with an entree, now that would be different and would bring the "value" back in line in my opinion. Meaning, you pay that premium on applebees food BUT you get an unlimited "free" salad bar. That'd be a differentiator for them. read more

It was my birthday and I was by myself for lunch on a weekday. Lo and behold an e-mail from Ruby Tuesday's offering me a birthday burger on them! Who could pass that up? The hostess seated me as soon as I came through the door, which is sometimes rare for 12:15. The volume level of the place was great and it seemed you could have a good conversation here and actually hear the other person at your table. The waiter came right away and had some drink suggestions. I opted for the raspberry lemonade to go with my cheeseburger and fries. Soon he reappeared with my drink and a plate with four little biscuits. They were quite wonderful! I'll have to see if someone online knows what's in them. They're a bit like the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuits, but a bit more savory and far less oily. The lemonade was quite sweet...the kind of sweet that makes an adult long for water soon but appeals to the 10 and under crowd. After I had plowed through my third biscuit and was eyeing the fourth my burger arrived. Sometimes when you order something off the menu it looks completely different. This was the opposite. Had I not immediately started eating it, it could have been a menu photo itself! I had ordered it medium and it was perfectly cooked as requested. The fries were perfectly done. The waiter returned at regular intervals to check on how I liked it and if I needed anything. I could have used a second stomach as I was over full and the dessert menu had looked so wonderfully tempting upon arrival. I was sad that my fourth biscuit had barely a bite out of it, but with a heavy heart I left it behind. I'll be back another day to enjoy lunch with some of your fellow biscuits. Hopeless service every time I have been there Take atleast half an hour to get the food. Today they got a wrong order and not a bit apologetic when asked to change then my group had finished the meal in abt half an hour and ready to leave. I asked the server to cancel my order. Now another server comes with food after 5 mins and says take it I told him I had cancelled for which he said well it's already made so why not take Togo ($18 for a food after 1 hour wait and then Togo??) New Orleans Seafood was a hit! Walked to the restaurant from my hotel, because I didn't feel like fast food or pizza. Pleasant surprise. Usually ordering seafood can be a gamble, but this was great. Tilapia was cooked very nicely, very flaky and seasoning was just right. Not too spicy, but not too mild. Nice portion of shrimp as well. Only down side was I asked for a side salad as a side and the wait staff pushed the salad bar because "it will be a bit" to put the side salad together. read more

I think the trick is to NOT arrive at 9 pm on a Sunday night. The garden bar was looking pretty disheveled, the lettuce, a little forlorn. We were dying for some vegetables after a two-day road trip and lots of fast food. We ate that dubious looking salad with gusto...and three hours later had what sure felt like a mild (but significant) case of food poisoning). Not like the the time I accidentally ate the raw meat dish in Ethiopia, but nevertheless Very unpleasant. The children, who didn't eat the veggies, were fine. The rest of the food also seemed a little tired. The staff, polite enough, but tired. My bet is that if you arrive before the dinner rush or at lunch time rather than an hour before closing, you're fine, but I can't make a recommendation based on our experience. read more

I went to Ruby's on Sunday and requested to be seated in a certain area. I was told that there was no server for that table, so I though ok it's just a seat. Then we ordered and I requested the mini burgers and was told I couldn't get those if I didn't get the salad bar. I didn't want a salad and felt that they were telling me what I had to eat. Wouldn't it be easy to deduct the price of the salad from the meal? I normally wouldn't say anything but the same thing happened the week before. When this restaurant first opened, it was awesome and the managers cared about the customers, I'm not sure if I will be back.
