Rating: "False Advertising & Inedible Food - Don't Waste Your Money" I wish I could give this place zero stars. My wife and I visited this Ruby Tuesday today, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. We ordered the Fried Catfish & Crispy Shrimp, expecting the generous, golden-brown platter shown on their website (which is priced at $22.49 online, though the receipt showed $17.99). What we actually received was an absolute joke. The portions were so tiny and pathetic that my wife--who literally never complains--had to ask the waitress if they had accidentally brought her a kids' meal. Not only was the portion size deceptive, but the quality was disgusting. Everything was dripping in old grease and tasted foul. It looked nothing like the marketing photos. When we brought this up to the waitress, Dana B, she was completely dismissive, simply stating, "No, that's just the way it comes here." The service was the "icing" on the cake. Our waitress seemed happy to serve us this garbage and acted like receiving complaints was a normal, everyday occurrence. To make matters worse, we overheard the couple behind us complaining about their meal as well. Instead of apologizing, the waitress actually laughed it off and told them, "That's the coupon plate." It is clear this management has no pride in their food or their service. We ended up paying over $50 for a meal that was essentially inedible. We will never eat here again and will make sure to warn everyone we know to stay far away from this location. read more

Firstly, our server was great. She was personable, friendly, and attentive. Everything about the food felt cheap. 3-way combo had a thin flavorless steak, factory breaded shrimp, factory made ribs. French onion burger was a small roll, thin flavorless charred patties, couldn't really tell which cheeses were which. Salad bar was uninteresting, as if it was the bare minimum they could get away with. It just felt like they cut corners wherever they could and that the folks working there didn't really care, that it was just a job. Four stars is probably pushing it just a bit. 3.5 would be more appropriate. We stopped by on a Tuesday and thought we would give "burger night" a try. Our server, Danielle was great. We both had the double smash cheeseburgers with fries. Burgers were quite done !! The burger and fries combo was OK. Not the best ever and not the worst. Some beers advertised on tap were not available. We made due. The decor at this location is kinda "tired" looking. Plastic tablecloths should just not ever be allowed. The catfish & shrimp platter was hardly a platter. The fish was very small pieces & the crispy shrimp was frozen out of a box the fries was good but the coleslaw couldn't have been any smaller that my spoon was too big to dip it out of the container, it was only one bite worth. The salmon, deconstructed kabobs, and grilled chicken are all delicious. Cons: Often understaffed (typical these days, not wholly their fault). We rarely visit this location because it's hit or miss. Either they're out of something or lacking terribly on staff. We stopped by yesterday and they had several new items, but we stuck with old favs. I did try a wildberry margarita for the first time. I was average. I only know this because of a text that I received while sitting down. The bartender NEVER acknowledged me. Her customer service was HORRIBLE - this isn't my first time "experiencing" her, but her demeanor is ALWAYS the same - RUDE. * I was finally given a drink at 8:04pm. I know you're asking, why didn't I leave? In most cases, I would, but I was meeting 2 other ladies there & couldn't get in contact with them... * Let me continue - I had to stop her to ask about the special. I had to stop her to order. I had to stop her to get another drink. I had to stop her to ask for a to-go container. She NEVER asked if everything was okay. She NEVER checked to see if I needed anything... to the point, I started asking other people for stuff (ie, can I get a bag and some to-go silverware.) She acted as if I was bothering her. I STILL DIDN'T COMPLAIN OR ASK TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER. * There were some other ladies in addition to our party that sat near us, and we all engaged in conversation. During this period of time, at least an hour or so, we didn't ask her for ANYTHING. * Fast forward, it is now 10:06pm. The manager comes out and asks if everything is okay. One of the ladies in my party asks about the spinach dip - they both (my friend & the manager) have a conversation concerning that... The manager then asks if we need anything - One of the other ladies in the other party says, "Yeah, can I order a spinach dip to-go?" Then the other lady says, "Yeah, can I get a shot of Petron because we haven't seen the bartender in like 30 minutes?" I asked for another glass of wine, and my friend asked for a to-go box. The manager then says, "I didn't come over here to take orders?" And she instantly gets an attitude. She then proceeds to say, the bartender told her that we were calling her names. I say, "That is absolutely not true - what did she say we called her?" The manager's response, "I don't know. But I can understand why she doesn't want to service you all anymore if you all are being rude and calling her names." I ask, "If she doesn't want to service us anymore, is there another person we need to speak to about getting our drinks?" The manager, "I never said she didn't want to service you all." All 5 of us said in unison, "Yes, you did." Then, the manager stated that she was trying to mediate the situation. When I tried to explain to her how long it took me personally to get a drink, she asked us to leave. I asked her (the manager) for her name, and she hesitated. She finally told me, her name was Tabitha. I asked Tabitha which days she's there she stated she works everyday with an attitude. As we were leaving, other patrons who watched the entire interaction, apologized to us for how we were treated. Just to be clear, 1. Meditate means to intervene between people in a dispute in order to bring about an agreement. WE DIDN'T HAVE A DISPUTE WITH THE BARTENDER - THAT WAS CLEARLY A LIE; YOU CAN'T MEDIATE WHEN ONLY 1 PARTY HAS AN ISSUE. Another waiter or waitress should have been assigned to us, since when you initially approached us no one had anything negative to say. 2. I hope this location has video footage along with sound to hear what transpired between the time frames I mentioned above. 3. At no time did I raise my voice and respond by acting like a idiot - I can't say the same for management. 4. I did email the corporate office. 5. I only asked Tabitha which days she worked, because I wanted to make sure the days were correct for my complaint. 6. I visited here on 11/29/20 after visiting the outlets in Mebane. We were sat at 2:19pm and no one came to up until 2:32/2:33pm... The waitress, Reandria, stated that no one informed her of us... ‍ This was annoying because I hadn't eaten all day and was getting hanger. I got the New Orleans Seafood with grilled zucchini and steamed broccoli and my bf got the Blackened Shrimp and Sausage Pasta. Our food came out at 2:46pm which is not a bad turn around time. The garlic bread that came with pasta was hard.. The sausage was lukewarm while everything else in the pasta was hot. The waitress didn't come to check on us until 2:55pm in which my bf requested a fresh breadstick and a refill on his beverage. He received his fresh breadstick at 3:02pm. By this time, he was full and requested a to go box. The breadstick was peculiar (see picture). One side looked fine and yummy but the other side was crispier... It was better than the first one but not completely up to par. My bf said it was kinda salty, but that it was good. The fish that came with my dish was decent sized and I got a good amount of shrimp on top. The Cajun seasoning on it paired with the sauce was good. The downside was that it was lukewarm, whereas my zucchini and broccoli was hot. Overall, I think this restaurant has an issue with consistency in regards to the food temperature with all the things on the plate. The initial impression with waiting about 15 minutes to be greeted by our waitress was also upsetting. Would I come back to Ruby Tuesday? Yes. That have good keto options. Would I return to this location, I'm not sure. It's a possibility. There's room for redemption. This location was not busy at all during this visit. The service was good but my mother's stuffed shrimp was RAW! We sent it back and the waitress said they cooked the new dish twice the second time and it still was RAW in the middle! I hadn't been to a Ruby Tuesday since leaving Minnesota in 2012, and even a few years before that, but was dropping some equipment off at a former client in the area and was looking for some lunch. I was greeted relatively quickly, though there was no one at the hostess stand, but instructed to choose a seat. I chose one right next to the stand (and salad bar). It didn't take me long to choose an entree, as it seems their menu is smaller than I remember (as was the garden bar-no soup?). After placing my order, I hit the garden bar for a lettuce salad and a bit of potato salad. As I said, it seemed about half the size of the one I frequented 20 years ago in Maple Grove, MN. At least some cottage cheese would have been nice. I finished my salad relatively quickly, then sat browsing my phone while I waited for my entree. My waitress, Margaret, did check on me every few minutes to see how I was doing. The food ended up taking almost a half hour to arrive after my order was placed. Seemed a bit long considering there were very few customers in house when I ordered(reason 1 for docking a star). My blackened shrimp with sausage and penne pasta was quite tasty, and cooked properly, along with the accompanying breadstick. The strawberry lemonade definitely hit the spot. Food was terrible! Store was filthy. Almost walked out when we got there because of how dirty it looked but we gave them a chance and will not go back. Hostess not welcoming and no smiles.
