Oily over cooked burger and onion rings...reminded me why I haven't been there in years. Salad bar looks like it's a week old.

When we started getting Ruby Tuesday commercials in El Paso I couldn't help but wonder why the hell they would broadcast these burgers (always the burgers) in a city that doesn't actually have a Ruby Tuesday. Then I found out there was a Ruby Tuesday in Las Cruces and wondered if they really believed I would drive 40 minutes for a burger. Although I haven't tried their burgers yet, I know I still won't drive 40 minutes for a burger from Ruby Tuesday... but if I'm in the area and every cool looking local spot is packed and I'm in a party of less than three, I'll head to Ruby Tuesday. The service is probably the best I've ever seen in a chain. I'll put it this way, when we arrived we could tell the manager hadn't sat down once during their huge dinner rush. It was only my fiance and me so even though there was quite a long line to be seated, we were seated immediately because almost all of their two seater booths were still open. Apparently this is the place to go with the whole family. I like that their menu is a mix of a few things... like if Applebees and Red Lobster had a baby. Everything was broken up into sections: seafood, salad, steaks, burgers, and appetizers. We were drawn to the Shrimp Fondue. And as I'm writing that, it doesn't actually sound all that appetizing, but it really was. The cheese was served with a nice, thin chip (a la Chili's style). This was good and as long as this is on the menu, I'll always start with this. Although the portion of chips was a little small so we had to ask for more. We both chose seafood dishes and I was less impressed with them both, but I thought the lobster on my cellmate's plate was a good size and tasty. I ordered the Jumbo Skewered Shrimp. Definitely not "jumbo" shimp... maybe medium sized. They did taste like they were cooked when ordered, but I wasn't a fan of the large amount of seasoning they topped it with. The seasoning wasn't bad it was just a bit too much. My sides were the loaded baked potato (I'd give that an A+) and the salad bar. The salad bar isn't huge, but it's big enough, has the usual suspects and some not so usual like edamame and peas. Next time I'll probably just stick to apps and the salad bar... and maybe a glass of wine. The service is fantastic and everybody does the part (if another waiter saw our drink was low, they wouldn't hesitate to bring it over). Food is good for the most part and they really know how to accommodate a group or a small table. read more

it's been a few years since we dined at this Ruby Tuesdays new manager remodeled and really nice atmosphere. The burgers have always been very good with the Tuesday burger specials they are great. Danielle our server was great. So five stars for this Ruby Tuesdays. Keep it up. read more

Terrible! We went for Monday night football because they recently remodeled for more of a sports bar theme. Plenty of tvs and decent beer...BUT the food was inedible and WAY overpriced! I ordered boneless wings from the appetizer menu. I received a very small portion which seemed like it came from the frozen section at Sam's club...very tasteless and rubbery. And it was $12.99...for an appetizer!. My husband has a meatball sub with fries. The sub was SUBpar and the fries, again, seemed like they came from the frozen section. Tasteless. Went for carry out and it was a total disaster - we have been waiting 45 minutes and still no food- very disorganized . One person bringing food out- some suggestions - Take payment before if food isn't ready, use a portable card reader instead of making 3 trips to each car , have someone check everyone in so you know who people are . Warn people that you are behind. We will not comeback ! We've done carry out several times in past few weeks and this is the worst!! read more

I would provide a rating but I would have get my order placed first which never happened. Keep in mind this is my first time ever in your restaurant, we got seated and from what it seemed everything good this far. Well my Girlfriend were there a good 10 mins no acknowledgement no drinks asked silver nothing. We keep trying to give Ruby Tuesday's a chance because they used to be so good. However, we just keep getting let down. This time I got a salad the was completely incorrect. I ordered the Grilled BBQ Chicken salad. The salad had no corn, the chicken had no bbq sauce, and most importantly they gave me NO DRESSING! Ruby Tuesday is my "go to" place for a good cocktail and a great tasting meal. The service is fast and polite.

I wish there was something below one star but you can't post without choosing a star. If you want good food go to Taco Bell or get some fried chicken from Albertsons. Better yet walk next door to Sams and get a hot dog or a slice of pizza. This place had the worst food. The service was thee worst. Even the food runners have an attitude and throw your food on the table. Our waitress was practically non existent. She did warn us they were busy and running behind on food. That wouldn't have been a problem if the food was fantastic. Our appetizers were cold. It took 5 minutes to get plates to serve our appetizers. Our steaks were tough and not prepared as originally ordered. Three of us ordered steaks and we got each others rib eyes and sirloins and not prepared as ordered. We had to stand up to get our waitresses attention so we could leave. $113.00 I still left a tip. I should have ordered a pizza. Save your money people and your time. read more

It's a great restaurant! We always stopped to eat here when we are in Las Cruces. Food , service & drinks have always been great every time. Their gluten free buns are awesome. Unfortunately they got rid of their turkey burger, so we don't stop anymore. Still highly recommended read more

This gets stars for a friendly helpful staff. They removed an item from our bill without our asking. The place has been redone getting rid of closely placed tables for a little more privacy. The food however needs help. The new appetizer reminded me of chopped up breadsticks stuck in tomato sauce with some cheese, they were soggy. None of us enjoyed the food. read more

I'll give this place five stars only because it's been my favorite salad bar for years but I have to say this place has gone down hill. The food is hit or miss, (never consistent). The salad bar is not kept up with and cleaned daily, the vegetables don't look fresh and look like they've been sitting out all day, the dressing is every where along the bar, the steaks are bland, the food comes out warm not hot. I hate to see this place leave las cruces because their isn't many options here to begin with. I just hope they can make some drastic changes quick. read more

Haven't been to RT for two years or so and now I remember why. Salad bar that is not stocked, slow service, food hanging of of the plate touching the tabletop, and a server that asks how everything was towards the end of the meal. We were greeted in a friendly manner and seated promptly. Drink orders taken promptly. Server was good and provided a good courteous level of service. However, he was always on the way to different patrons as he attended to us. We both ordered the 12 oz ribeye, salad and potato. The ribeye was a very thin cut, making it difficult to achieve a medium rare level. It lacked flavor and was disappointing. It looked nothing like the photo in the menu. This spot is horrible, we walked in and they were doing remodeling during business hours. Had men working between tables, drills going, painting near us. When asked to talk to the manager and see if they could hold off at least with the drilling until they closed, which was in 1 hour they said no because they were behind schedule. Started with the Paloma margarita it was excellent with Hornitos tequila and fresh grapefruit juice. Another dish that I hadn't seen in RT recently. Carbonara chicken was next. Surprisingly authentic and a large serving. Topped it off with a slice of NY cheesecake specially prepared off menu bey my cheerful hostess Elizabeth. Stopped in for a drink because not many local bars around but the hospitality by MO the bartender made us feel like home .

I ordered the family rib meal on Thanksgiving being in a bind and the ribs were completely cut up, dried up and chewy, barely edible (with extra sauce to disguise that fact). Like if they are not able to accommodate other orders on special holidays then they should not have that as an option and this is not the first time I've had a problem with them and they never admit any wrong-doing. read more

I've given up on this place. Been going there for about a year-and-a half and have watched it deteriorate. If you look on the Google search for this location, you'll notice that people are there 1.5 hours and that's entirely accurate. We've waited 20 minutes for a drink within arm's reach of the bar. My main issues are as follows: We've met with friends later in the evening in the bar area and were disturbed and disgusted each time by their practice of mopping the bathrooms while there are guests sitting right there. It's your server doing the mopping. Once, I saw our server push the filthy water and bucket back to storage and then emerge immediately and go to her station. Can't figure out how she washed her hands in those few seconds. I sat in a booth and was sickened by the food spatters on the wall. They really need to deep clean this place. Keep getting salad bar items that taste as if they've been stored in the refrigerator without a cover. And when I've complained, I'm told it's because the food is stored on ice and I scooped the salad item too close to the bottom of the plate. Like it's my fault. We've had to get up and find a server to correct an improperly cooked meal. The servers just seem to disappear after the food is delivered. There's no check up from the server. And then you wait as long as it took to get the original order to replace the items. Once, my wife's steak was improperly cooked and got a pretty tough lecture on how she had ordered it wrong. That lecture was delivered by the night manager and she spoke to my wife as if she were a child. It seems to be perfectly acceptable for wait staff to gather and chat amongst themselves in view of the guests instead of servicing the customer. Ask for a box when the meal is delivered, or else you'll be waiting yet again just for a takeout container. Going in later in the evening, we've asked the manager to lower the music in an almost-empty store. We've asked him twice, the server twice and then asked for our bill because our requests were ignored. We keep getting the impression they don't care about their customers. The lack of care and hospitality seems built into the system with no improvement in sight. read more

Went here for the 1st time. Ask the waitress for what she thought was Ruby Tuesday's best dish... what they are famous for. She recommended the anything that's Honey BBQ. My wife and I ordered 1/2 rack or Honey BBQ Ribs. Not only were they VERY Dry, but I eaten ribs at multiple restaurant across this country, these were by any measure, the worst by a far mark. Actually a noticeable lack of taste... except for the honey BBQ sauce, which we asked for additional to consume the rest of the ribs. First and last time... Good By... Ruby Tuesday. read more

I forgot to take pictures, but basically I didn't like it. I ordered a broccoli cheese soup and shrimp pasta. My husband had the salad bar. The broccoli cheese soup tasted like Velveeta cheese, which was gross. My pasta had soooo much salt on it. My husband's salad bar doesn't offer meat. You have to pay extra to add protein. I've been to many of this chains stores, mostly in Fla. They were all pretty good. I prefer very rare meat and as a Texan told them "knock his horns off, wipe his butt and run him on in here". Huge mistake!!! This time the so called cook took me at my word and served it absolutely raw as a joke. My family and I always enjoy eating out at ruby Tuesday. The salad bar is my favorite and the raspberry sweet tea is beyond great! Service is really great most of the time. On one occasion, the restaurant was very busy (it was a Friday night) and we waited nearly 10 minutes before our waitress greeted us. It took awhile to get our drinks, but the food came out surprisingly fast but my side of zucchini came out 15 minutes after I got my dinner. This hardly ever happens but I am now wary of Friday nights. Overall a decent place. read more

The hotel advertised delivery service for Ruby Tuesday on the key card, so I decided to try it out. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and was told 20-25 minutes. They were on time, no charge for delivery, and my food was still hot. The fries were overly salty, I know some people like that, but I don't. And, I think when you deliver, you should include napkin, but there were none included. The food was decent, nothing spectacular, but it was good. I also think they should ask how you want your food cooked, it was a little to raw for me. I decided to try Ruby Tuesday again while I was in Las Cruces, so I stopped at their location before leaving for home. I ordered the Asiago Parmesan Steak with mashed potatoes and zucchini. The steak was good and cooked to order. The zucchini was a little flavorless. And the mashed potatoes were OK. Mashed potatoes are my favorite food, so I may be a little overly judgmental. Went here last week with mom & dad while on vacation because it was near our hotel. The entire experience from start to finish was exceptional! The entire staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. They made us feel truly welcomed. We had a hard time deciding what to order b/c of the many choices but the waitress was patient & helpful. I finally settled on Steak & Shrimp, mom had a Turkey Burger w/Avocado & dad had the Pasta with Chicken. Both mom & I opted for the Salad Bar as one of our sides. The salad bar was fully stocked & everything was fresh & delicious. Our food was sooo good we are every bite! Also, Dad & I couldn't stop drinking the Strawberry Lemonade - it was fantastic! Not too sweet not too tart! Absolutely perfect! All in all it was a wonderful experience & I'm just sad that we don't live there otherwise this would be our go-to spot for sure! read more

The bacon burger was mediocre at best pretty sure it was supposed to come with two different sauces burger sauce for sure and they said tHey stopped serving that but it's still all over the menu the lettuce was wilted and brown absolutely disgusting completely empty in there for obvious reasons they turned on the bar TVs and it was so loud we had to raise our voices to talk. Saw multiple fruit flies while dining that would crawl into our food and the whole time the server is cleaning the same table next to us for half an hour then started vacuuming and sweeping right next to our table. Our experience this time was disappointing. The staff seemed shorthanded which left us waiting for a long time just to get our iced tea. According to the menu, the dishes we ordered come with 2 sides. However, we were told we only get one side. I ordered grilled asparagus at an extra cost and got 5 whole stalks!!! My husbands mixed drink was watered down with very little liquor. I ordered the pork chop but was unable to finish it due to the excessive seasoning that made it intolerable to finish. It was so spicy from pepper that it completely took away the hickory flavor. I did feel sorry for our server. Ate the Las Cruces, NM RT location today. Server was Mary. She was nice when she approached the table, after that all downhill. I ordered a new item a French Dip Sandwich. $11.79 The French Dip was to be served on a Hoagie Roll, it showed up on a hamburger bun. I was informed RT was out of Hoagie buns. The sandwich was served with a gravy, which was provided with virtually nothing in the side dish. All we heard was I am sorry from the staff. I asked for more French Dip gravy, and Mary never brought it. When we asked for the check, we reminded her she never brought the requested item. Mary stated she was sorry, I stated I was sorry there will be no tip tonight. Mary immediately got pissed, and stormed away from the table. She left and said nothing. This staff member should be FIRED! All the waitress cared about was the tip, didn't care about poor service, I did not get what I ordered, and the server Mary could have cared less. Avoid this RT in Las Cruces, NM. There are many other local restaurants just as good or better than RT. We never saw any manger walking around or he/she would have been notified. If as a customer if I don't get what I ordered from the menu or what the menu described, and get poor service, no gratuity should be expected. read more
