combo 4 MIX TACOS
Megan A.

A great find for lunch! Stopped in on New Years Day and enjoyed some delicious $5 margaritas (special for the day), a taco platter, and shrimp ceviche. We tried the perrones (shrimp & asada), chori-piña (chorizo & shrimp), and fish tacos and all were delicious! The chorizo was greasier than I expected but it's chorizo so can't be too surprised by that. Ceviche tasted fresh and had a ton of flavor. I had a lime and a grilled pineapple margarita and both were yummy but not too boozy. Our server was super polite and food came out fast. I loved the bright colors and fun music, too! Will definitely come back and try some more items from the menu next time!

We checked this place last minute and turned out great unexpectedly. As their name says, they are known for Tacos. You can mix and match tacos. President Shrimp and Marinated Chicken were our favorites we went for it again. Though a bit pricier than other place we went to in this town, it's worth it for tacos alone. Liked the fresh guac. Serving was a bit delayed though since the kitchen seemed busy. Lastly highly recommend the churros with ice creams. Churros came in fresh and hot, so went great with the Icecream.

This is a small ma and pa type sit down taco shop that exceeded our expectations. My wife and I shared a 4 taco platter with shrimp, steak, chorizo and fried fish. There was flavor in every single bite, along with various hot sauces at the table to sample. The steak shrimp combo taco was my favorite of them all. The fries that come with the platter was an interesting choice to pair with, but didn't think much of that as we were there to sample the Mexican choices. The shrimp ceviche rivaled those I have had in Mexican costal towns so was very impressed with the taste of it considering finding good seafood in the desert southwest can be a challenge. And the margaritas were unique, especially the grilled pineapple one. While they weren't terribly boozy they had great taste and enjoyed them very much. Friendly service from the moment we walked in as well. Happy we found this place as we will now make it a go to on our trips here.

Decided to come here with the office for my birthday. I had the Perrones on corn and it was amazing. Liliana served us attentively, friendly, and enthusiastically. Improved atmosphere since adding the wall separating the dining area from the kitchen.

Hot sauce bottles need to be refilled.

Reviewed this place a couple of years ago, and I see nothing has changed. Although the food is a little above average, the service is slow and aggravating. Bring your magnifying glass to read the menu and when they offer avocado, it's an upsell. Until next time.

The ceviche and the fish / shrimp tacos are delicious, just like in Baja California Sur where I used to live. Liliana was the server very polite and pleasant. The ambiance is great. My wife had a Pineapple Margarita and I had a Lime and they were both delicious. Prices are reasonable. A place to take guests from out of town.

Used to be something good, now it's not. Asada is all fat and tastes like lard. Fish smell terrible. Taco special no longer exists.

We asked to sit on the patio, which was nice, although a little chilly with all the patio umbrellas up. They brought out some salsa and a small portion of chips. The salsa was surprisingly spicy and flavorful! We ordered queso, which they brought quickly, minus chips. We were able to flag down a server for more chips, but it seemed like this was a constant issue. The queso tasted like Velveeta, but was better with the salsa mixed in. Definitely not worth the price. My hubby had the Estrella Tacos, which were surprisingly good and reasonably priced! I tried a side of the calabasitas with no idea what to expect and found them quite tasty. Overall, it just felt a bit odd. Service was lackluster, food was hit or miss. Would try again, maybe at a different time of day.

He has beaten stage four cancer three separate times. Needless to say, his career military background and having just retired in October 2025 served him well. He has faced every diagnosis head-on like the true American soldier he is. During one of our quiet conversations, he shared something that clearly weighed on him. He was heartbroken that he never got the chance to take his wife out for their 55th wedding anniversary in December because he was in the hospital. The next day, I asked him a simple question. If you could pick one restaurant within a 100-mile radius, just one, where would you want to go once you had your strength back? Without hesitation, he said La Posta. Over the next few weeks, a lot changed. He was released from the hospital. He slowly began to regain his strength. First the cane went away, then short walks turned into longer ones, and eventually he was even driving himself from LC to EPT for doctor's appointments. When I finally asked if he felt strong enough to go to that meal we had talked about, he lit up. He started telling me stories. How his father used to bring him to La Posta. How it had remained top notch throughout the years. He went into detail about every menu item he loved. But the one thing he really wanted me to understand was the ambiance. You will get it when you are there, he told me. I called to see if they took reservations. We were not even sure they did. A young woman named Priscilla answered the phone. I explained the situation. My uncle was finally strong enough to return to his favorite restaurant, one that held a lifetime of memories, and he had missed celebrating his 55th wedding anniversary. I told her I wanted to surprise them and make the night unforgettable. I even mentioned I was planning to have flowers delivered. Priscilla did not hesitate. She immediately connected me with her manager, Teresa. I asked if we could have a larger table than one meant for three people because my uncle wanted to order everything. Honestly, I just wanted him to eat, to enjoy himself, to feel normal again. Teresa agreed without question. Then something unexpected happened. Teresa explained that Priscilla was a single mom of two who had recently started a floral business on the side and truly wanted to help make this night special. She asked if it would be okay to involve her. Of course, I said yes. I was transferred back to Priscilla and told her to go big. No expense spared. I gave her full creative freedom and an unlimited budget. Unbeknownst to me, Priscilla partnered with a friend who specialized in balloon arrangements. What she created was nothing short of breathtaking. Place cards. Multiple floral centerpieces. An ornate floral display. A large professional sign welcoming my aunt and uncle to the restaurant. She handled everything with grace, professionalism, and kindness, even as our party grew from three people to thirteen. And then the story took a turn. The day before the dinner, my uncle was rushed into emergency surgery. Suddenly, everything was uncertain. Half the family canceled to stay at the hospital. We kept Priscilla updated as events unfolded. Not once did she complain. Not once did she lose her composure. She adapted to every change with pure professionalism and empathy. She even adjusted the floral arrangements when we decided to bring flowers and food to the hospital instead. That is when I learned that the owners of La Posta had been informed of the situation. The male manager on duty, and I regret not remembering his name, passed along a message from them expressing their deepest condolences and gratitude. He also shared that they wished they could have been there to meet my uncle. There really are still good people in this world. After her shift ended at 4 p.m., Priscilla went to pick up her kids and then came back to the restaurant just to meet me. She walked me through everything she had created and explained the work behind it. When I asked how much I owed her, she paused and said she wanted to bless my family and could not accept payment. I was overwhelmed. Her work would have easily cost four to five hundred dollars. I insisted on tipping her at the very least, and she reluctantly agreed. The food that night was incredible. We had a wonderful server, and the food was amazing. We ordered extra meals to go so my cousins could bring my uncle his favorite dishes back to the hospital. It was a small way to lift his spirits during one of the darkest moments our family has faced. My uncle asked me to thank you for the food. And I want to thank everyone at La Posta for the hospitality, the compassion, and the humanity. When my uncle regains his strength and comes home again, we will return with his wife so he can finally give her the 55th wedding anniversary dinner they both deserve.

Our waiter, Chase, quickly came to our table to offer us drinks. Chase was very attentive throughout the entire meal. He brought our food out quickly and checked on us as we ate to ensure we were not lacking anything. Excellent service!! Now for the food... The small bowl of chips didn't have a chance to empty before Chase brought another bowl (without us having to ask). We loved the salsa bar where we were able to select the salsas that we wanted to try. We chose the traditional, jalapeño and tomatillo, pico de galio, and chipotle. We agreed that all of them were delicious. My husband had the fish tacos. The serving size was great!! He would have preferred grilled fish rather than the breaded and fried fish; but all-in-all he said it was good. (For non-fish eaters like myself, the fish smell was quite strong and overpowered the smells of the rest of our meals). My daughter got the Monster build your own burrito with chicken. She loved it and said the grilled chicken was delicious!!! My daughter's boyfriend had the chicken enchiladas Christmas (green and red sauces for those who may not be familiar). He loved it! Like my daughter, he too enjoyed the grilled chicken that came in his enchiladas. I had the cheese enchiladas Christmas with 2 fried eggs and sauce on the side. The sauces were both delicious!!!! Everyone at the table enjoyed tasting the green sauce which had a creamy and cheesy consistency with the perfect amount of green chilies and heat. The red sauce was a traditional New Mexico red enchilada sauce with exactly the right amount of heat. My single complaint about my meal is that I could have counted the number of cheese shred pieces between each tortilla of the enchiladas. All of us liked the refried beans and Spanish rice that came with our meals.
