Our favorite Friday night dinner spot! Service is quick and friendly. Food is authentic.

We're visiting Las Cruces from Texas and decided to try this place for breakfast yesterday. Overall, service was nice, prices were decent but the food wasn't the greatest. I guess chile con queso is a little different here because I expected more of a cheesy sauce so I didn't really touch the gorditas. We asked for bacon, potato and cheese tacos and received huge tortillas filled with only bacon. When we mentioned the issue the waitress said she didn't know what tacos were so she was confused. They ended up just piling in some potatoes and non-melted cheese in the tortillas. Other plates, like the chorizo and egg burrito was delicious (my mom ate it all). We decided to try the sopailas but unfortunately they were nothing special. A little doughy and it tasted kind of raw in the middle. Despite, the few issues I mention I'd recommend others to give them a try it might have just been an off morning or us not quite understanding the menus in Las Cruces.

The carne asada burrito I purchased yesterday was different from what I had expected and from what I remember buying from them in the past. It was more like a "backyard" or "homemade" burrito. It tasted ok but I was hoping for the seasoned cut up meat and stuffed and roundness of a Xalifornian carne asada burrito. I will not be buying this here again.

Los Mariachis is a hidden gem that has wonderful food and a pleasant quiet atmosphere. The salsa has a wonderful spice to it when they bring out the free chips and salsa. The food comes out so hot and fresh and quick, and any plate you get is amazing! My favorite is their taco plate! They also have a really quick drive through too. Highly recommended trying this restaurant out and they have $2.75 beers!!!

This place is fire. They have some bomb menudo served all day Saturday. Horchata is perfect not that fake crap. Service is good. Menu has everything you want. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas. Salsa and chips and the salsa is spicy with good flavor.

Fresh made Chile Verde gorditas.

The historic restaurant really shines where it counts -- fantastic food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. The host was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in for lunch, and our server offered great suggestions from the menu -- which features a wide variety of Mexican, New Mexican, and breakfast fare. I decided to get the Sopaipilla Compuesta ($15), a pair of sopaipillas topped with red and green chile. It was packed with authentic, rich flavor and made for an incredibly delicious and filling dish. My dining companion enjoyed the Veggie Omelette ($14), which was equally well-prepared, fresh, and portioned generously.
