Came in for lunch shortly after I moved here this summer. I was seated quickly in the bar area since it was just me. The food was consistent with all other Chilis which is good. No one likes surprises of inconsistent food. Staff was nice and efficient. Food came out quickly which was great. Even though I like dark places and don't typically have lights on in my home, eating in a dark restaurant isn't really a favorite of mine. I know it was lunch time and it was daylight but it was dark in the bar area. Some lighting would have been nice but that's my only "complaint." Will definitely come back or order food for pick up or delivery though. read more

We went here for the first time for dinner today since we moved here. We previously went to one in Hawaii. We arrived around 5:00pm. It wasn't very busy. I was super excited to try the Nashville hot mozzarella. It was SO salty! We both got burgers. They were excellent. I got the Santa Fe that has cilantro and jalapeño's on it. We, a party of four, went on a Monday night, the restaurant was only half full, but we were told it would be a twenty-minute wait despite the fact that there were easily ten empty tables in sight. Figuring that they were missing a few wait staff, we agreed, and they promised to text our phone when our table was ready. They didn't. At 30 minutes, I asked what happened and they seated us. Since I had asked for a table, we got a booth. The drinks arrived twenty minutes later. A half hour after that, still no food, so we left. Took an hour and twenty minutes to learn that I don't want to go back again. By the way, don't tell me that you need to see my ID for a beer "Because it is state law." It's not, NM 60--7B-2. states that you have to ID anyone who appears to be under 40. Since I'm almost twice that, you were just jerking my chain. If you are following company policy, fine, but don't blame state law. read more

Can not believe how disappointed I was with our recent visit to Chili's. The service was slow. Our waitress never came back to see how things were or to offer refills. We ordered Baby Back Ribs and they were the worst. They were tough and dry. The MacNCheese was mooshy with horrible pieces of chicken on top. Rate Chili's Three and Three Quarter Stars for the dining experience. The restaurant is orderly, clean, and comfortable. The service was pleasant. But, the food, the food was ok...sort of in the "B" range: not bad but certainly not among the best. Therefore, give Chili's a 3 and 3/4 rating. Today I ordered their Alex's Santa Fe Burger with fries. The fries were fairly large made in house fries. They were not at all greasy but were a little lacking in flavor. Were they air-fried? Perhaps. Rate these fries about a "B-." Air frying will never give you the great flavor you want in your fries. The burger had a nice brioche bun. But the meat was grilled using the "smash burger" technique. When not done just right this can lead to a few problems as was the case today. The continual pressing of the meat led to a burger patty that was a bit dry. The meat also lacked a bit of seasoning. The outside of the patty of course had the desired char from being grilled in the fat, but this left me with a GREASY burger. (Do they ever clean the fat off the grill back there?) The beef fat all over the outside of the patty did not give the burger a good taste and as the grease was soaked up by the bun the bun became greasy in places (especially around the edges where the patty overlapped the bun). Thus, my fingers eventually got kind of greasy also. This was far from being an elite burger. I hope in time they correct these issues because I kind of like the restaurant ambiance. Food was horrible the customer service was crappy and the for the food pricing could have been better

I'll start by saying the server and manager were friendly but our experience could not have been worse. I ordered the quesadilla explosion as I have for probably 20 years including once at this particular location. It took forever to get our food. Unfortunately I couldn't eat it cuz it was way over spiced. I ordered grilled chicken not Cajun chicken. The server took it back and said it would be a few minutes. It took forever and my husband finished his meal while I waited. Out came my plate brought by the manager and there was no chicken at all. I just said forget it I don't need it. They brought a small ramekin stuffed with sliced chicken. I ate alone while my husband waited. Went to pay and they charged me for two quesadilla explosions. Had to call the manager over again. We waited for a table past the time amount given. This wasn't what made us leave though. The hostess told two couples (after we had already waited 20 mins) that they could sit in the bar area at any open tables. All of us sitting in the waiting area had not been told this and were shocked to hear that we could have already been finished eating. We got the 10.99 three for me burger deal, and it was really good, in part due to the service of Nikki F. who works in the bar. Nikki always makes sure that our order is prepared properly and out quickly. I can be quite particular when I order and expect food that comes out hot and fast, and Nikki is always very understanding. The lunch special is cheaper than going to a fast food restaurant in my opinion the burgers and fries are much better. If you want a good lunch burger special and good service go to Chili's and make sure that you eat in the bar, so Nikki can take care of you! read more

Three stars, because problems were properly addressed. I kinda liked the sugar on the rim of my margarita. I thought it was their twist on standard, but no, it was supposed to be salt! No problem! I liked it! But then my chicken enchilada arrived COLD. Not just a little cool, it was COLD -- on a hot plate. It looked good (see photo), but I sent it back. A new plate was brought out -- super hot! They also gave me complimentary chips & salsa, and gave me a 50% discount. I'm just traveling through, but if I lived in Las Cruces, I'd give them another try. I'm happy with how the server & manager handled the problem. But I can't give more than three stars. read more

Once we sat down our waitress was great and brought all of our food out quickly and on point with the refills and any other request. The food not the greatest not the worse. This place has really gone downhill, used to be a friendly spot to grab a quick bite. Went in for a late lunch today got seated got drinks and appetizer fairly quick. Ordered food, the food took about an hour and 15 minutes (for 3 plates) place wasn't to crowded maybe 10 tables and a few people at the bar. I asked to speak with a manager since no one had came back to refill our "bottomless chips and salsa" no apology or reason to why we still had not gotten our food. When I asked who I believe was the host to speak with a manager he proceeded to ask how he could help, I then said "oh are you a manager" he replies "no but what did you need" very rudely and not In a customer service manner. Manager soon came over and stated the kitchen was backed up and ask what we needed, we simply stated "our food". Shortly after our food came out, the manager did drop by and let us know our bill was going to be comped. Everything seemed fine until I noticed the burger sliders were literally raw and cold in the middle. Again no manager or server came back to check on how the food was. We left a tip on the table and headed out. Probably will not return which is sad because chilis was a place we enjoyed. Working in the food service industry I understand things are always not the servers fault or in their control. But a simple check up isn't hard. I have had health issues that have kept me from rarely going into any restaurant and eat. Today we ate at Chili's on Telshor in Las Cruces. I required my food prepared a special way and Kimmy was our Waite person. She went Anvers and beyond to get meal as needed perfectly. Before our food came a woman sat down behind us with horrible strong perfuming making me ill. She was so kind to clear a table for us to get away from it. Chili's has a jewel in this young woman to add to the fabulous food and atmosphere. I cannot wait to back back to las cruces Chili's again soon. read more

Such a bad experience from start to finish. Where to begin. This is the second Sunday we've come here to eat and the second time the service and quality and timing of food was just horrible. We had to wait a few minutes before anyone came to get our drink order and when they did it took even longer (about 30 mins at least) to get our drink from the bar. When it did come is was beyond too weak and tasted horrible....just ice and bitters...gross. The appetizer was the only good part. My husband's burger was over cooked and crunchy and didn't have the side of ranch he requested. My kids pasta was ok, nothing special, but my son's chicken was borderline pink. My entree was the worst. Shrimp tacos with way too much coleslaw and not enough Shrimp. The worst worst part was my husband noticed half way through my second taco that my Shrimp wasn't cooked! The manager was nice and comped the dish and offered free dessert but the whole meal took so so long to come out and we had hardly seen our waitress, that we all just wanted to go. The last thing that totally left a bad taste in our mouth was as we were paying my husband made a comment that he'd pay the tip in cash and the waitress just awkwardly stood over us waiting for it. When she finally realized that we weren't going to give it to her on the spot, she finally walked away...really awkward. We had arrived to Las Cruces and i was surprised that most of the places were closes at night although it was Saturday. We were looking for a restaurant that serves seafood and we ended up at Chili's. We had Texas fries without bacon and spicy shrimp tacos. The food was delicious especially the tacos and what makes it better is the avocado. I think it needs to be more spicy. Overall, Chili's saved our night. read more

It's a Chili's. You are gonna get Chili's food. Boneless wings, salads, burgers...the same food as at all the others. I had a cup of the Southwest Chicken Soup. It was really good! Chicken, hominy & tomato in ancho-chile chicken broth, tortilla strips, cilantro. The only reason I popped into this chain restaurant was because I was having some tires replaced at the Discount Tire next door and the manager here said I could bring in my dog. I was on vacation when the tire mishap happened. So he was with me. It is not their policy to allow pets. But they placed him and me in a room away from everyone else dining there. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 3 for this chain. read more

This Chili's has not recovered from Covid. The food is inconsistent and that's one good thing you could always say about Chili's. The one thing you have to hope for with chain restaurants is experience. The food is expected to be decent or else the place wouldn't be a chain. However, if the experience is bad then the restaurant has failed. It should be the sole focus of a chain to ensure its staff is well trained and capable of providing patrons the right dining experience. That doesn't go to say it needs to be like fine dining. It just needs to be comforting. Chili's did a great job on our last visit. Sidney, our server, was very pleasant. She was attentive to us and made sure we weren't waiting too long. It appeared that perhaps she had been sat all at once and she did have a big top, so with that said it is easy to fall into "the weeds". Not her though. Sidney handled it well. Another big shout out goes to one of the managers, Ed. He visits tables and helps his staff to ensure the dining experience is going well. The restaurant business can be tricky, but it appears the people at Chili's have it down. Food was as expected. Actually, the burgers we had were better than expected. Didn't taste like frozen patties. Their burgers are definitely worth a try. read more

Other customers that were sat after us received their entrees prior to us even getting a refill on a drink and our appetizers (it was chips and salsa & a house salad). It took me to get the attention of another waitress to even receive food. Waiter paid no attention to us, but plenty of attention to those he just sat. Other waitresses were helping us with our food, which is insane considering we went pretty late at night and there was no rush of other people coming in and out of the restaurant. The burgers and sandwiches are good but the appetizers are bleh. My bro and I tried the cheese curds, fried pickles, and blooming petals. The curds were all different shapes and sizes and most of them were really small. Several looked like they deformed in cooking. The special sauce that came with it did not taste like anything and was only one forth of a little cup. Most of the fried pickles were fused together. The ranch sauce was good and the little cup was all the way full. The blooming petals were interesting. Half of them were squishy and half of them were crispy. Maybe two different batches? I love chili's. I honestly love this place. It's one of my top favorite places to eat. It's very relaxing and the wait staff is always friendly and happy. The interior is welcoming and not too loud even though they play the TV games on multiple televisions. You can still hear your life and company conversations. My latest visit was quite nice. I went with my husband, his mother and his brother ( who were visiting in town). We took my rolling walker with us and the wait staff was able to seat us comfortably and in a spot where my walker could fit. My husband and I ordered drinks and an appetizer since we arrived before the rest of our party. The waitress was friendly and training another girl so she made sure to introduce them both. I had to send my drink back for a minor dirty spot but it could have been ok. (I'm just uber cautious since I go in for surgery in a few weeks and refuse to take chances). The waitress quickly replaced my drink and was very friendly. She answers questions about menu and the way things were prepared and checked with cooks on some items she didn't know. After the rest of our party arrived we ordered food and had a nice time. Between the table we got steaks, ribs, burgers and seafood. Each item was cooked great and nothing has to be sent back. The waitress even got us a take out box for some items and an extra box for rib bones ( we wanted to take home for the dog). We ordered lava cake and as usual OMG it was amazing. Try it and you'll see. The waitress even helped us sign up for rewards program to get free stuff for frequent dining and use a coupon to get our dessert free. Clean place and very friendly. Well decorated and fun to be in plus it wasn't freezing unlike so many places are. Negatives; Sadly, they have completely redone the menu and done away with many things we enjoy. This is the first time I am submitting a Yelp review--ever! I do go to this app when we travel but rarely here at home. But the fam was so pleased with our curbside and the fact we tipped nicely before even showing up! We never all order similar things but we all got chicken tenders of (different flavors), mostly because we thought they'd hold well coming all the way across town.
