Salud! was a new try for us during our visit to Las Cruces. The patio is very nice to enjoy the evening breeze while eating a delicious charcuterie board made entirely out of a big giant pretzel. The board - Pretzel Pasto - came with a variety of cheeses and meats which are changed up frequently by the chef, so definitely ask what will be on the board if you have allergies or preferences. Fruits and delicious olives were also part of the board as was some very tasty queso. Topping it all off was the chocolate chips that melted by being embraced by the baked pretzel - delightful. This is a great board that can actually be your meal for the evening. When in Las Cruces, you must try all things that have green chile, since the board did not come with chiles, we had to order the mac and cheese. Of course this was amazing and I considered ordering a second bowl for the table. Our server was very friendly and checked in on us if we needed anything or wanted more of a something from the charcuterie board. Salud! is absolutely worth a visit! read more

Had a lovely bite and beverage on this bistro's patio. Since it was a Saturday evening, they still had their brunch drink special--a bottle of bubbles with three juices (orange, cranberry, and prickly pear) for $15. What a deal! Our server was very friendly and checked in on us often. He was very accommodating when we asked to exchange the raspberries on our charcuterie platter for a different item. The Pretzel Pasto is amazing! A giant pretzel serves as the vessel for the chef's selection of meats and cheeses, along with fresh fruit, chocolate chips that melt like frosting on the hot pretzel, and gooey delicious queso. We also split a small bowl of the green chile mac and cheese and regretted not getting a larger bowl. For dessert, the creme brulee bombo was unlike anything I have had--an Italian puffed donut filled with cream, but this cream was bruleed on top with a thick, crisp layer like creme brulee, so it was like having two desserts in one. Tucked away in the heart of Las Cruces, Salud is the kind of spot that makes you instantly relax the moment you walk in -- jazzy tunes playing softly, a laid-back vibe, and plenty of seating options whether you want bar energy, cozy indoor tables, or fresh-air patio feels. The menu is surprisingly creative with tons of vegan and vegetarian choices (and they'll happily modify just about anything). I decided to branch out and try their vegan tamale, and wow -- easily one of the most unique takes I've had! It's served wet style with a rich sauce poured over the top, and it totally worked. Pair that with a glass of their perfectly brewed iced tea and you've got yourself a solid meal. The service was spot-on from start to finish -- several friendly faces checked on our table throughout, which always makes a difference. An amazing place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. I planned a Dinner Club for 10 couples. We had a total of 22 people. The manager was able to accommodate a last minute change/request. The service was amazing. Well poured drinks, great wine menu and a good selection of beers. Great atmosphere, love that they serve brunch all day! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs at 7PM and it was delightful. The lemon chicken plate is also great, the broccolini was cooked perfectly and the oven baked potatoes were masterfully cooked. My only criticism is the spicy Hawaiian burger was underwhelming. There was a bizarre tart and sour flavor that I was not expecting, I wish the burger came with more pineapple. The fries however were very good. Overall very good experience! read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Las Cruces. I originally discovered it as a poor, sleep deprived student who just needed a place to study. However, it has kept me coming back for several years. The staff is incredibly friendly. I've had the chance to talk with the owner a couple of times, what a gem! They are one of the many highlights of this place. The space is comforting. Great bar seating, great patio, and different dining rooms with lovely tables. The food is always excellent. From brunch to dinner to drinks, I am never disappointed. We had margaritas and the Brie wontons And the Festival Flamed quesadilla with chicken . Delicious. We did find it silly for them to charge us $1.50 for a small container of salsa. It was my husband's birthday, we wanted a good meal, the reviews were mostly about lunch or sandwiches and hamburgers, which were not what we wanted. We liked the variety on the menu- we liked the appetizers (cauliflower and calamari- separate menu items) We liked both, but would get something else next time. Most importantly, .we loved the dinners. My husband got the tilapia, I ordered the ribeye. Both were perfectly cooked and steak lived up to the explanation ( good portion sizes). The sides of broccolini and petite potatoes were cooked just right. The steak and fish were perfectly seasoned, We had the house salad with mustard dressing/ very tasty and crème brûlée was a nice finish. Our server Onole was well versed, pleasant and attentive. Richard the manager was very personable and had good people skills, very proud of the restaurant and staff which was refreshing. The team works well together from hostess to service staff and management, they are all complimentary of f the kitchen product and staff. Overall an excellent experience. We recommend it and we will definitely return. Thumbs up! The ambiance was nice, intimate dinig and some larger table, with 2 bar spaces, smaller inside and a larger covered patio. We got a perfect morning to sit on the patio. Our server, Jazz, was just a delight! Had good suggestions, noticed water glasses and checked in enough without being overwhelming. Now let's talk about what fun the Bloody Mary and mimosa bar can be! I had a peach mimosa, but not the bar, and it was delicious. My friend made her own Bloody Mary and said the only thing missing was celery stalks. They had celery salt, but that's not crunchy! Salad in a glass with a generous pour on the vodka side. Sunday also had prime rib tacos for $1.50, so we started with those. Very fresh, pretty ample amount of prime rib, flavorful sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. We would do those again. Next we did their nachos, which are discounted on Sunday. We added grilled chicken and that was a great addition. 3 of us had more than enough to eat with a taco each and shared nachos. We came on a Friday evening around 5pm. It wasn't busy at all which was quite surprising. We sat at a high top table in the bar area where the bartender Onola "Ohn-a-lay" served us. She ran this area like a Boss! She was very attentive and checked on us several times throughout our dining experience. She also very friendly and suggested items on the menu that were her favorite as well as those that were very tasty. The bar area was dim and cozy. There was upbeat music playing but not too loud. I had the fish n chips which was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and light and tender on the inside. It came with a jalapeño aioli which was quite tasty but very spicy. I love hot--but this one kicked me in the back of the throat. Jalapeños lovers will appreciate this one. I also ordered an Old Fashioned which she finished with a maraschino dark cherry and a blood orange slice. It was made so perfectly that I had to order a second one to sip on while my husband finished off our creme brûlée. It was truly one of the best old fashioned Ive had as traveler for the last 4 years all across America. My husband had the Classic Burger. It was juicy and had that char grill flavor and seasoned with salt and pepper just as a good quality beef should only need. The French fries were seasoned battered fries and quite delicious. The creme brûlée may not look as present g as most because of the red sauce on top--but it's a strawberry sauce that complimented very well. If you are passing through and want a good place to eat with many varieties as well as their own uniqueness that you'll never find anywhere else try Salud! It's a family owned establishment with a jewelry and accessory store beside it. Unfortunately I was unable to browse because it closed at 6pm. Hubby and I were passing through on a very long journey from Houston. After 7 hours of driving, I was so pleased to visit Salud de Mesilla for REAL food instead of snacks. I was also pleasantly surprised that they offered several vegan options. The staff was so friendly, personable, and accommodating from the second we walked in the door to the moment we left. Such amazing service from our waiter Christian! I ordered the Beyond Burger with lettuce instead of a bun and a side of sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the Blueberry Turkey Sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. My Beyond Burger was so delicious! the crispy vegan cheese shreds were an amazing touch! my husband said his sandwich was also very tasty and we both agreed that the ingredients were very fresh. We were both bummed that we couldn't stay longer since the outdoor patio was so relaxing and the weather was lovely. Mesilla is such a cute town that we wish we were able to stay and explore. Whenever we are back in the area we will definitely come back, and we highly recommend trying this place out for yourself! read more

This restaurant was recommended by local coworkers as one to try for my vegan coworker and for patio seating. This was one of the best meals we had during our short visit to Las Cruces. There were several items for the vegan to choose from and even a vegan cheesecake (but they were out of them that day). I eat everything but only had eyes for the pretzel appetizer. It was huge and I didn't finish it. It could definitely feed 2 people. I thought it was a lot for one person but it was a good price ($14.99) and totally worth it. If my hotel had a fridge in my room I would have taken it to go. I would absolutely go back and get that again The patio was mostly covered and there was a good breeze so we were very comfortable. We stopped by Salud de Mesilla for a late lunch/ Dinner on our way to El Paso. The special of the day was half off burgers and $1.50 off draft beer before 6pm! Fortunately we made the cut! Service was excellent and outdoor seating was favorable in 105 degree heat. I give three stars because the food. Although portion sizes were fantastic, some of our food choices lacked in flavor. Umami Burger with Green Chillies Mac and Cheese: This is a fantastic burger! The shishito peppers and fresco give the burger a light umami taste. We decided to get the Mac and cheese instead of the fries and I regret it. The cheese tasted like sauce from a package with only a few green chillies. Pescado Tacos: Cilantro and carrots on top of the tacos were very fresh, however the cod was very fried. Fish also was not fresh at all. Ridiculed Caul: This was probably my favorite out of the meal, however the cauliflower is covered in a lot of oil. Other than that, flavor was there. Overall, the food portions and food items seem too large to be tapas. However I had a great experience at this restaurant! read more

Burgers are great and you can get Mac and cheese as a side which is delicious. I've gotten the tacos before and they aren't as good as they look. They do serve breakfast all day which is awesome too. Unfortunately service was really terrible. She came to our table maybe 3 times total and she came at 9:06 with the bill and wouldn't allow us to order any more beers since they stop servicing alcohol at 9.
