*EDIT: it wasn't even 10 minutes and I received a call from, Zach, another manager. I gotta say, this was probably one of the best managers I've ever spoke to (which isn't many, but still.) He went above and beyond to rectify this situation. Zach took the time to call me on his day off and understand the situation and offer a resolution. He actually offered a few resolutions. Most important he was honest and apologized. Great manager with a lot of passion. He is probably the only reason we would give this place another shot. He knows this business and because of his efforts I am giving this place four stars. Thank you. Rude. Ignorant. No customer service. Bad experience with food being over 30 minutes late. Was told it was the system, then was told they made the wrong order, but that's when they weren't ignoring my wife and giving her an attitude about how they can't cook the food faster. Meanwhile, a couple came in, sat down, ordered, and got their food before my wife even got her pick up order. They did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. They did not try at all. They said take it up with DoorDash. When I called to speak with the manager about the attitude he was giving my wife he decided to let me know that she was a liar and that's not what happened. They took absolutely no ownership over the problem, and just decided to argue. After my wife finally got the food my daughter did not eat her quesadilla and when I asked why she said, "look at it it's all burnt," my cheeseburger had soggy fries, a wet soggy bun and wilted lettuce. The food was not hot and was not good. I get this isn't fine-dining by any means, but the quality of service and food was just unacceptable. read more

We experienced the cluster of "shift change which should be transparent...but we were introduced to 3 ppl, then ended up with our original server...Megan, who couldn't have been more apologetic. So we are thinking salad bar...but when we view it...most everything was nearly empty...when we asked about it...no one seemed too interested in restoking. I think no one could decide whose job it was...the regional manager is too busy on his phone to guide and direct. It was dinner time remember. So we ordered cocktails...good prices...the regular margarita was good...but don't order a second...it was an entirely different tasting and sweet....same bartender.? Sent it back...the second was better but not like the first. $6.00. So the salad bar gets replenished... that's our choice...no soup! Now my friend starts eating and bites into a metal carton staple...ypu know like the kind from a box of produce...sharp and open pronged...an inch or more long with sharp edges ( it was in her salad bowl....we didnt put it there!!! ) So we call Megan, she is appalled ( my friend did not swollow it thank god)...so she - Megan - says..." we are lucky...the regional manager is there today...she will go get him"...."He" could have cared less, on the phone, made us wait, cannot remember an apology...said he needed to get a report from my friend...left and never returned.. . Megan had my friends salad comped...and we couldnt get out of there fast enough. The place needs a good cleaning, managers who care as much as the staff, attention to details/TLC..and far better customer service. Came for lunch with a group of friends on the 1st of June. I hadn't been in quite some time and I do love their salad bar, so I picked this place for us to go have lunch. To all of our surprises, there is no longer a lunch menu. This is quite disappointing as they used to have a great lunch choices and you could add on the salad bar for one or two dollars. Adding the salad bar to any entree is now $6. All of the entrees are also upwards of $20 which I find quite expensive for a place like Ruby Tuesday's. The salad bar was just as good as I remembered, so there were no issues there, but everything else is very mediocre. It also took us almost 30 minutes to get our check, which was quite frustrating. Go to this location every few months. Last visit ordered a rib eye steak. Was supposed to be medium rare and came out medium well. Steak tasted like cardboard and was only about a 1/4 inch thick. Normal thick ness of rib eye steak should be 1-1.5 inches. Also, had salad bar and Blue Cheese dressing was watery. Wrote restaurant and got no response. Things have changed since we are getting back to normal after the virus. Food is still good but prices have gone up. In February 2022 the salad bar in now $12.95. Also they are having staffing problems as we had to wait 45 minutes for a table at 5 pm when there were several empty tables. We asked why and were told they have not enough staff. read more

The wife and I haven't been to Ruby Tuesday in about 10 years. We decided to give it a try again. We walked inside with nobody to greet us. This location treated our family of five as if it was a party of twelve. We had wonderful waitress who always wore her mask. The salad bar provided individual use gloves for customers. The seating was spaced out but many customers walked close to our table without masks, too close for my comfort. I enjoyed the Hickory Bourbon Salmon and drank a Ruby Relaxer. Everyone at my table ate their fill. Other than the zucchini which was over cooked, everything turned out great. I would order here again. read more

I don't typically spend my time to give negative reviews, but this experience was more than disappointing. The food was nearly inedible in fact, I did not eat most of it. I tried to eat around the 1/4 inch thick 2-3oz of mainly fat, that was referred to as a ribeye on the menu.I would not recommend or return to Ruby Tuesday. I am aware a Ribeye does have fat, but the establishment should not serve food of that low quality.I was not expecting a spectacular meal, but a regular portion and steak for the $20 they charge. I would just say, if you are spending approximately $60 on two for lunch don't bother going here unless you only want the salad bar. I did not get a close look at the garden bar, but the lettuce in my salad clearly came from a precut bag and was all browning on the edges. My boyfriend went to take a bite after seeing my face and just looked in distaste. I would say save your money on food from here, maybe the drinks are better. read more

This is an update on my review of the Ruby Tuesday in Ellenton, Florida. RT had responded with the usual response of "Let us make this right for you, yada yada yada!" What follows is MY response... My Yelp Review Just so we can be clear with each other, you are not interested in "making things right". You are only interested in keeping this out of the public eye. I have already complained about my experience at the Ruby Tuesday in Ellenton, Fl. You did not want to "make things right" until I posted on Yelp. Everything you asked for, you already have. So what do you think "making things right" constitutes? Proper staff training? Using a cook with actual cooking skills? Cleaning the place up? Hiring a District Manager that will actually do the job? Or... A gift certificate for a free meal? A free meal at a place that is dirty with a poor cook and a staff that does not give a damn. WOW! That is going to be hard to turn down! As I have said before, my wife and I live on a very fixed income. We have to budget for our times out. The Ellenton RT was a major disappointment. So we will go out sometime in July, if we can find the money. If not, then August. But one thing I can positively guarantee. It will NOT be Ruby Tuesday. So what do you think you can do to "make things right"? Let me know. End of my response. As I have already said, Ruby Tuesday is only interested in keeping complaints out of the public eye. These kind of "canned responses" are just to fool Yelp reviewers into thinking RT gives a damn about you dining experiences. For instance, if they really cared, the restaurants would be a hell of a lot cleaner. The staff would be far better trained. The "cooks" would have actual skills in food preparation. And the Managers would not need a search party to find them. You, the readers can take whatever you wish from this review update. Personally, I will not let this go. Ordered online with the RT app. Used the buy one entree get one free coupon in my email. Restaurant isn't close, but seemed like a good deal. Ordered the trio of shrimp, half rack of ribs and 'ribeye' with a baked potato. For my 2nd entree ordered the $15.99 salad bar and soup. Waited a few minutes and the order was ready. Handed the bag and inquired about the salad bar? Was told it was in the bag, which was a side salad. Small at that. Told the lady it wasn't what I ordered. She did bring out a plastic box to fix my salad from the bar. Tiring of tipping beforehand and nearly always having issues with takeaway orders. I'm not surprised the restaurant was almost empty in such a populated area close to the outlet mall. The shrimp wasn't as good as Long John Silvers. Ribs were tasty with the Texas rub. The ribeye if you could call it that was gray and nondiscript to the point I was unsure at first what it was. It was also no more than maybe a quarter inch and was not medium as ordered. The salad bar, potato and soup were fine. We have always liked Ruby Tuesday in the past and sad to see what it's become. The closest one on University closed several years ago and don't see this one lasting much longer. read more

We have ordered from Ruby Tuesday a few times since the stay at home order during the COVID pandemic and they have done a great job of preparing food for takeout and maintaining social distancing. They even gave discounts like 15% off online orders and $6.99 burgers and sandwiches on the weekdays. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with tots and my husband ordered the regular chicken with fries. They were also.kind enough to offer free burgers for teacher appreciation during this time. Ruby Tuesday, your restaurant has gone downhill. Turn the lights off and lock the door. The food, is tasteless and overpriced. Two of us ordered the sausage/shrimp pasta. We did not add the salad bar for an added 6$. We could have scraped the bottom of our tires and that would have been better. Two ordered the salmon and complained to the server about it. She offered to remove it from the bill, however the couple just waved her off. Neither of them ate it. I realize prices had to go up. But, the quality, is in the comode! Do your job Management. I'm not sure what's wrong with this restaurant , but it sounds like they're going out of business? We arrived today around 12:30pm with a six person business lunch. The young man who was hostess immediately said if there's six of you we don't really have the staff to serve that many people today. We we're going to turn around and leave but then I said we'll I think the majority of us are just having the salad bar? He then said well we really don't have any six person tables ... let me check with someone . He left for a good ten minutes came back and said someone is clearing our table now. Service was ok after that but the restaurant was hot and muggy inside and part of the restaurant is "closed off " with chairs to make people walk around a leaking ceiling near the salad bar area. If you own this restaurant you might went to find out what's going on. We won't be back it was just too hot, humid and just looks dirty ... not to mention front staff that basically told us to get out. read more
