Went to Ruby Tuesday in Ellenton for lunch on a Tuesday... entering the restaurant it appeared they like so many other places were short handed....no one at the front and the bartender taking orders in the front of the restaurant. Sat at the bar which had menus already placed which was pretty smart I thought. The bartender returned and took my drink order before scurrying off to take more orders and clean tables for a slow steady stream of customers entering the front door. Sitting at the bar looking around the restaurant looked old. The bar was rough possibly needing new finish and everything else inside looked like it was installed 20 years ago and hasn't been refreshed. On the third dash by where I was sitting the bartender brought the beer I ordered, took my food order and with the waiting area full - help from the back came out and then things seemed to calm down a bit. It wasn't too long before the burger and tots came out and honestly it was a really nice burger. Tasted good, cooked right and presented well. Maybe it was the second beer talking? (Beer is two for one - FYI) Anyway - very busy place - driven possibly by the inexpensive Tuesday specials but regardless - good food, rough restaurant and stressed employees trying to keep it all moving. 3.5/5 read more

Stopped here at 1130 on a recent week day and was informed there was a 10-15 minute wait. The was one couple in front of us who had been there a while waiting. The restaurant was not real busy and there were 2 wait staff. After waiting for 15 minutes and not being seated, nor the couple in front of us, we left. read more

Complete Disgrace to the chain. Probably best to Level this place. The entire interior was Sticky & quite frankly disgusting. What used to be a really nice salad bar is No longer. I went to Ruby Tuesday's yesterday evening around 7 PM with seven friends and three guide dogs. We were sat at a large table with plenty of room for all of us. Our server, Michael, greeted us immediately. We had the most wonderful service and the food was really good. Thank you, Michael for doing such a great job and making us feel comfortable and treating us like your guests. It was a short walk from Hampton Inn where we were staying and very convenient. We are alumni students from Dogs Inc and are low vision or blind. Michael delivered excellent customer service. read more

Had not been to a Ruby Tuesday in at least 15 years. Decided to try this one and see if the endless salad bar was like it used to be. We got there and they were not busy, yet we waited alone in the lobby for several min waiting for someone to see us ... and seat us. Our server was friendly and took good care of us. The salad bar was ok. nothing too special and at $12.99 ... meh. The people behind us ordered a rib eye steak. I'm not sure what they expected from this place but I heard them comment that they had never seen a rib eye that thin. It wasn't a terrible experience but there are SO many better options for genuinely good food ( including salad ) elsewhere. It may be another 15 years before I give it a try again.... Father's Day June 2025 celebrated at Ruby Tuesday in Ellenton. Always one of our favorite places but today was extra special as we celebrated the Dads. Our waiter, the only male on staff today, was excellent. Salad bar was fresh and loaded with so many awesome choices. Entrees included, steak, pasta and seafood and again all perfect. Oh boy. The service was so bad. The hostess was trying to talk us out of waiting. The restaurant was about 50% empty and we were told the wait was 20 min because they don't have enough staff. We had dinner at Ruby Tuesday on Sunday. Food was good and our bartender Maddison was friendly and helpful. Our food came out hot and at a reasonable time. They have good prices on their entrees. Restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. It's our go to place for dinner at least two times a week. The manager Mary is nice and always makes sure everything is good. read more

Regular visitors with family on at least couple times per month to enjoy the great all you can eat salad bar etc. Last night we went out to eat @ Ruby Tuesday and what a high cost dinner it turned out to be. 2 beverages, 1 salad bar and another salad bar/soup and it cost $34 plus gratuity. Every time we've visited this restaurant something is wrong, this time they only had the front section opened, meaning that the handicapped had to go all the way to the back where the salad bar was located. Then when you got there it was filthy, and incomplete. Also they only had two waiters working. This was at 4:30 on the afternoon. We ordered the smash burger special, well we got our salad and just sat down when they delivered our burger which sat there and got cold while we ate our salad. The service was horrible, when I first arrived the young lady (waiteress) was cordial, attentive and somewhat jovial. As other non-melanated patrons arrived my level of service declined tremendously. When the obnoxious couple with children climbing on the table ordered their food, this same waitress asked them several times (with no exaggeration) "is everything ok, are you pleased with your food?" She then proceeded to walk past my table and didn't ask me one question about the food she sat in front of me. Then another elderly couple arrived, again, non-melanated. By this waitress conduct you would have thought Bill and Hillary Clinton were sitting there. She laughed, joked and extended herself beyond her capabilities. Ten minutes has passed and I'm still eating, she walks past me and doesn't utter a word. When she noticed I was done with my meal she abruptly brings me the check, not asking me do you need anything else, dessert?... I kindly look at her and inform her that "I want the strawberry cheesecake and a fresh cup of coffee."This next sentence is going to blow your mind. She brings me the cheesecake and says I'll be right back with your coffee. She brings me a 1/4 cup of burnt coffee and says "it was the end of the pot and I didn't want to make more." It was at this point I realized I ****** up. Then she stood there and waited to see what my reaction was going to be. "Can I have a manager" was the best thing I could say and remain a Christian. I wasn't looking for my meal to be comped, I paid my bill, I left no tip, and a note that said if you would have asked me at least two times , was everything ok, I would have left the standard 22% gratuity. I discovered an old $25 gift card I had and decided to use it today. If I could get a do over, I would give it to a homeless person who just may have really appreciated it and the food. I stopped going to this remnant of what used to be a decent American style eatery a couple of years ago and when I walked in, I discovered nothing has changed. Service Ok but food was terrible. Absolutely horrible service and food. This place used to be excellent. Not anymore. Worst ribs ever. They must have been a week old. Dry, hard,. I showed them how you could barely stick a fork in them, and they would bounce off the plate nearly breaking the plate. No apology no manager came out nothing they ask if I wanted anything else I said if the chef was willing to serve this. There was no way I would trust the chef to serve me anything else. I haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday's in forever! So, we decided to stop for a late lunch-early dinner. The restaurant had plenty of room to allow people to spread out. The menu has a good variety of foods. My husband had a burger and I had the fish & chips. The burger was good. The fish and chips was all breading and little fish inside. They weren't great. If I could give negative stars I would. Worst dining experience I have had in decades. Salad bar was a hot mess, all of the additional items were completely empty, pasta etc. restaurant was dirty, servers were doing ok but could use some help. I asked for a manager, took her a long time to meander out of the back then seemed completely disinterested in what I had to say. Never came back out to ask how we were doing in fact never showed her face on the floor at all after that. This lady should not be managing a team anywhere. Staff follow their leaders direction. Kind of disappointed but with not coming to a Ruby Tuesdays in a long time, maybe it's the norm. Bottom line, they are short staffed. Our server was complaining because she had to drive in from Mt Dora. Not sure what was going on. A large party of 8 who were elderly, left, and were very upset. My party sat in the bar so we could accommodate the staff. It was weird as I don't like to feel uncomfortable but it was just that. Food is so-so, just ordinary. I had previously posted a not so positive review of this Ruby, Tuesday restaurant in Ellenton Florida. Today, we went back again. I have to say it was a completely different experience. Much more like the first two times we visited. I have determined that the one day we came, and had a horrible experience that perhaps the restaurant was just having a very bad day. Today we both came for lunch and had the lunch special which was a nice hamburger and french fries for $6.49 each. It was well worth much more. Cooked perfectly, I like my hamburgers, cooked medium, and it was delicious. Our server, Kristen, was attentive, polite, and everything you'd want in a server. Thank you! Very slow service and incredibly small portions despite not even visiting during a busy time.

We arrived on a Saturday night. We were told the kitchen was backlogged and food ordering would be on hold for 45 mins to an hour. We opted to be seated and we ordered drinks and started at the salad bar. The bar was full and fresh. When we were finished with our salads we were able to order food. We ordered Cheese Quesadilla, Top Sirloin dinner, and BBQ Nachos. The Cheese Quesadilla came out with no sour cream or pico. We had to request that. The Sirloin was good. It came with mashed potatoes. It was cooked medium well and was good. Plate presentation was lacking but amongst the stress our server Mauran still managed to take good care of us. She also patiently walked me through the Ruby Rewards App so I could redeem my free salad bar with purchase of an entree. Definitely check out the App. read more

*EDIT: it wasn't even 10 minutes and I received a call from, Zach, another manager. I gotta say, this was probably one of the best managers I've ever spoke to (which isn't many, but still.) He went above and beyond to rectify this situation. Zach took the time to call me on his day off and understand the situation and offer a resolution. He actually offered a few resolutions. Most important he was honest and apologized. Great manager with a lot of passion. He is probably the only reason we would give this place another shot. He knows this business and because of his efforts I am giving this place four stars. Thank you. Rude. Ignorant. No customer service. Bad experience with food being over 30 minutes late. Was told it was the system, then was told they made the wrong order, but that's when they weren't ignoring my wife and giving her an attitude about how they can't cook the food faster. Meanwhile, a couple came in, sat down, ordered, and got their food before my wife even got her pick up order. They did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. They did not try at all. They said take it up with DoorDash. When I called to speak with the manager about the attitude he was giving my wife he decided to let me know that she was a liar and that's not what happened. They took absolutely no ownership over the problem, and just decided to argue. After my wife finally got the food my daughter did not eat her quesadilla and when I asked why she said, "look at it it's all burnt," my cheeseburger had soggy fries, a wet soggy bun and wilted lettuce.
