Being local, we eat here frequently, love the salad bar, and the service is congenial. The new menu looks promising although a bit pricey. However, we were disappointed today. Before we were seated, the table needed wiping, so the napkin wrapped silverware was moved to the seat, then back on the table after the table had been wiped. So, we are expected to wipe our mouth with a napkin that's been where the last customer put their butt???!! Please, what's happened to training and monitoring? The food was absolutely horrible. Had the Bourbon chicken. Chicken had zero seasoning and tasted bland. Haven't seen white chicken since my granddaughter who is 7 tried to make it for the first time. The bourbon sauce was poured on top of it maybe a half of teaspoon at best. Broccoli was over cooked and portion wasn't enough for a 5 year old. Salad bar was just ok and the shrimp appetizer was fair. The greeters and servers were very nice. The bartender was pretty cool but the Chef/Cook needs to step their cooking skills up! Stopped in for dinner with my wife . I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and garden bar . My wife had a petite steak , broiled cauliflower and garden bar. My steak was cooked perfectly, the asiago cheese was a nice touch . The garden bar was fresh , alot of variety and stocked . Our server Trista was like the Energizer Bunny , very attentive , knowledgeable and fun. Manager also stopped by to check on us . All in all the food and service were perfect . read more

This is a chain, but this location is run very well. All the food was very good. The spaghetti squash is great if you like squash. Salad bar selections seem to be parred down a little, but there are some nice items on it, e.g. crumbled blue cheese, endamame. Very good value for the money. read more

Wow, just wow... major let down. We went because it's close to the house and we had a coupon. We arrived at 3:45PM Sunday to skip lunch rush and avoid dinner traffic. They were out of biscuits. Salad bar was just OK. Waited 30 minutes for the appetizer (which looked and tasted like it sat under the warmer for 30 min) only to have our entrees arrive 90 sec later. Some of the sides were decent enough, the baked potato was cold and the pork chop was overcooked to the point of dry. The manager attempted to make good by saying he would remove the appetizer charge and comp us dessert. We declined dessert, used our coupon, and were still charged for the appetizer. It's fine, we just wont bring our business to Ruby Tuesday ever again. Lesson learned: choose independently owned eateries over corporate America owned establishments. read more

Very disappointing. This location has had slimy lettuce on the salad bar twice now. Tonight the bacon bits were greasy sludge on the bar and hard as rocks on the food. The mashed potatoes were watery then the butter made them run all over the plate. My bourbon chicken was over cooked. I could barely cut the edges and chewing was impossible. The center was dry. Last month my husband's steak had the consistency of boiled not grilled meat. In addition to the slimy salad which the salad bar attendant argued was not bad just overly cold. (FYI: Spoiled lettuce has a different texture and color then nearly frozen lettuce and will make you VERY SICK!) I gave this two stars because the manager noticed my overall dissatisfaction tonight, without us complaining, and took the salad bar off our ticket. The server also replaced the mashed potatoes with an unbuttered batch. Though the service was satisfactory we will not be returning to thist location. The food quality is simply not worth the price... and I believe the booth we sat in had mildew growing on the wall. read more

This chain in under rated. The food was served right away and cooked to order. Try the Jumbo skewed shrimp. Excellent portion and plenty of shrimp. The menu is healthy with perfect size portions. For desert it is a Blondie. Server was very considerate and allowed us all the time to make our choices. read more

I go on and off to this place though the years. I have never had any bad experiences, The food is always great even if the menu has changed. The male or female wait staff are always professional and friendly. Food always arrives in a decent time frame, warm and tasty. Ruby Tuesday's has definitely gone through a makeover. From the aesthetics of the restaurant to the menu choices and quality, I definitely noticed the difference at this location by the Ellenton Outlets. We did brunch and were not disappointed. Service, even sitting outside, was attentive. The menu was intriguing and from a health standpoint, I would rank this higher than Applebee's, Chili's and TGI Friday's. The convenience to the outlets is huge - there is really nothing better to choose from in the area, with the rest of the places being fast food. I would not go out of my way to eat at Ruby Tuesday's, but if they were a convenient option you could do far worse. read more

We had dinner on Friday 7 June at Ruby Tuesday's. As always it was fantastic. Kudos to Mya our server. She was outstanding, friendly and courteous. She checked back with us several times to see if we needed anything and to be sure everything was perfect. This is our favorite restaurant chain and especially the Ellenton location. We find it to have the best salad bar anywhere around. The number of items offered on the salad bar were and always are many and kept clean and fresh. I stopped for a quick dinner while on my way home from a business trip last night. I sat in the bar because it is usually quicker to get service for soup and salad bar. I sat for several mins and had 3 people/servers pass by me without acknowledging me. My server, Bethan was pleasant and very efficient with my beverage and order. While I was seated I overheard complaints of orders being made incorrectly and all servers saying that the kitchen had completely run out of potatoes. Wow, what a nightmare for customers and servers! Hope they can correct these issues because Chile's just opened across the street! read more

Granted I didn't get anything too fancy, my food at ruby Tuesdays was on par with a McDonalds or a Burger King dinner. I got the chicken buffalo sandwich and my girlfriend got the mini burgers. Both were really bad. Service was pretty horrible as well. The only reason I age it 2 stars is because the salad bar was good. I've been going into Applebee's for quit some time. I usually sit at the bar and the service is great, and the food is good depending what you order. I call my drink Bombay Gin and noticed it tasted different then what I pour at home. I pointed out to management and before the shutdown I was getting what I asked for. Today, I went in for lunch and order my usual drink. I watched the girl pour my drink from the Bombay bottle. I tasted the drink and could tell a cheaper Gin was exchanged for Bombay. I called the manager and it was the same manager I spoke to before. He told me he didn't know how it could happen because it was locked up in his office. I asked him who has keys, and he told me that he was the only person, but then remember it could be someone else who has access to his office. I'm sure more people of manager have access to the office. I called the district manager as of yet he hasn't returned my call. I'm not so sure he cares that his staff or managers are stealing from the customers, and breaking State Alcohol laws by pouring different bottles and selling that alcohol under a brand name. This Applebee's is located in Ellenton close to the Outlet Mall. If you go out for a drink and it doesn't taste right, I would bet they switched the alcohol. I will not go back to another Applebee's. read more

Our glasses went empty without a refill even being offered. And ut took her over 20 minutes to being our check. Last night we stopped on the way home from the beach service was slow(restaurant not that busy) bathrooms needed attention, brown pieces of lettuce on garden bar which also needed more attention. Server was obviously new but definitely not the line of work he should be pursuing, the beer I ordered came as we were about to leave so I turned it down but he forgot to take it off the bill. This is by far the worst Ruby Tuesday. Rude management and dirty. We were told we couldn't sit in a booth in the bar because there was a long waiting line. We could sit at a high top, however. There was NO waiting line. And we watched as the next to arrive were seated where we wanted to sit. And 2 other booths were empty. What was the point? Then the silverware given to us (wrapped in napkin) was dirty. Food was lukewarm. Menus were filthy. Not worth the stop folks. Eat elsewhere. read more

Uaually i have nothing bad to say about my service at places because i used to be a waitress too. but, i went there with a friend and two small children (ages 3 and 5). first thing, no color crayons for the kids. The little girl had to ask our waitress for them. Then we order our drinks and she brings the children large adult cups. where the smaller one spilt everywhere.. and again we had to ask for two small childrens cups. At the end we ask for our boxes and bags, and the waitress puts her hands around my cup to get her fingers wet to open the bag! Another fantastic dining experience, we had not seen Jason in a while, and he was our server last night, and how obvious to us that he is one of the reasons this location is our most favorite restaurant anywhere; cordial, kind, friendly, attentive, pleasant, joyful, a great team player that makes your meals better, and not that the salad bar and the chicken bella need any enhancements, as usual they were delicious as always; both Liz and Lisa stopped by to say hello and great for Ryan that he can have a night off knowing his facility is very well taken care of by these two inviting and caring ladies. Colin and Ashley, who have been our servers previously, stopped by to say hello, showing their great disposition and friendly demeanor; just overall a fantastic team at this location to compliment the great food. The service is very good and the food and garden bar were fresh and tasty. Portion sizes are SO small. Dinner looked like a diet plate. Both the entrée and side were tiny. I had to go back to the garden bar to fill up or I would have left hungry. I told the server the portions were small. He said that the garden bar was still available. I don't think I will go back. For $32 per person I should be stuffed. read more

Restaurant was dirty, carpets were filthy, would it kill someone to run a sweeper to get up all the debris?
