I had plenty of time until my flight and I wanted a dinner (not just those gift shop snacks) so I stopped in. I wasn't sure what to expect from a restaurant at an airport, but it was a rather nice experience. I've actually never been to a Ruby Tuesday's before so I cannot compare it to an out-of-airport location. I walked in and grabbed a menu from the counter and seated myself at a table behind the bar seating. They have a decent beer selection. They have the beer that everyone has, the Sam Adams seasonal, and one that rotates- which was currently the Dos Equis Amber- which is what I ordered. It was cold and refreshing. There weren't too many good vegetarian carb options for entrees. I decided to try the flatbread (an appetizer) with cheese, sauce, and basil. It was the flattest flatbread I've ever had- maybe a little too flat- but it was really good and actually surprisingly filling for me. With the tall beer, I probably could have split the flatbread with a second person and have been okay. It came very quickly too. My server, Devan, was kind and helpful. His service was quick and reliable- which is great considering most customers are probably in a rush. Oh and bonus points for the late 90s/early 2000s music selections. read more

Horrible coconut shrimp. They butterflied it to make it look bigger. This did not work. Was mostly breading and greasy and soggy. The zucchini was salted too heavily and this inedible. They handed me a receipt with tip amounts of 20%, 22%and 25% on the receipt. I gave her 15% because she never came back to our table for refills or anything. Ishe stood over me and the table as I added the tip and then snatched the machine up and threw the receipt on the table and stormed away. I told the manager and he did not care. Today I went into Ruby Tuesday for dinner and the service was good not great. I was completely content until it came time to pay. My bill was $29.62. Kayla, the waitress, had one of those hand held paying things and she said "enter what you want to tip". Naturally, I thought it was a percentage and I put 20. Come to find out it was $20. So I go to the manager and he was willing to give me cash back. I come to my gate and find out that he still tipped her 30% after I specifically said I tipped her $20 intending to tip her 20%. Pay attention to what they are charging you y'all. They're sneaky. read more

Staff are nice and quick. Food is terribly unhealthy. I can buy a healthier fresher salad out of a vending machine at O'Hare than at a local restaurant in McGee Tyson. Must all the bread be white flour and covered in mayo?? Why not put more fruit and less pie filling into your yogurt parfait: as is, a cinnabon would have been about as healthy. Come on, East TN! NPS = 0 I hate liars. And I feel Ruby Tuesday has lied to me. In their menu they advertise "unlimited chips" when you order their guacamole dip. After two measly servings of chips, the waitress simply told me they could not get me any more chips. Somehow, it keeps getting worse. We live nearby and like the salad bar, so we come here way more often than we should. Their water issues have been going on for weeks or maybe even months now, but that's no excuse for serving dirt in water, glass, and ice multiple times on multiple visits. Serve bottled water if you must! Tonight when the second replacement glass and water was also dirty, we just decided to give up and eat without anything to drink. There's just always something here. Tonight, hair on the plate, forgotten side dish, and rotten tomatoes in addition to the dirty water. And then to say someone else got my check by mistake and have me pay theirs? It doesn't matter that it was a few cents less. That just feels weird. Bring me a bill with what I ordered on it and figure out the other bill later. And they're never even busy so why all the errors all the time? read more

I was very surprised to find a Ruby Tuesday in the airport, even more surprised to find a full salad bar inside. I don't remember the name of my waitress, but she was very nice. They had crab cakes and of course, I had to try them. They were acceptable. The wine selection was ok, as expected. We arrived early to the airport at the start of our vacation. We had quite a bit of time before our flight, so we decided to try out Ruby Tuesday. There are only a few of them left and it is so sad to see that. The airport location had a breakfast menu from which to choose and I ordered the Sunrise Tacos. When it arrived there were three squares of steak along with the eggs and cheese and I assumed that the steak would be tough like it is at most places. I was pleasantly proved wrong as the steak was extremely tender and the tacos were fantastic! My wife had a Breakfast BLT that was generous in portion and was very very good. Even though it was 9am, it was extremely busy and there were only two servers. I figured that it would be a while due to so many people being there, but I was pleasantly wrong! It might have taken ten minutes from order until having food on the table. So if you are in McGhee-Tyson Airport in Knoxville and hungry, check out the Ruby Tuesday there. I went in the morning before my flight. Around 8am. There was only one woman working the bar and taking orders. It would have been nice if she had someone to help her out. Went to lunch with four other guys today. Al tough we were seated right away, it took quite a while before a waiter appeared. He took our orders and then disappeared for over five minutes before bringing our drinks. Three of the guys ordered the salad bar while I and the other guy ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich. In a few minutes our waiter came back and said they only had one Crispy Chicken sandwich left. I changed my order to the Crispy Chicken sandwich with pimento cheese. Amazingly, they had that! The guys with salad bar orders went to the salad bar twice a fee still had no food. Tracked down another waiter (our waiter was apparently MIA). They went to check on it and finally brought the other guy his sandwich. They said mine was coming as they were making my house salad fresh. A few minutes later our waiter appears, pus my plate down and walks away. I look at the plate and it has French fries instead of a salad. Have to call another waiter over and tell him my order is wrong. He says, "oh, the fries are on the house. ". My salad comes and consists of a little lettuce, one grape tomato and four croutons. Additionally, we compare sandwiches and the other guy's "last Crispy Chicken sandwich looks identical to my sandwich except for a dollop of pimento cheese on mine. Appears they pulled a "bait & switch" because my pimento cheese cost $1.00 more. Service was slow and kitchen didn't have its act together. Would have given one star, but the sandwich was actually pretty good. Haven't eaten at a Ruby Tuesday's in years because of poor service and looks like they haven't done much to improve it read more

Only option that served alcohol near my terminal. I ordered a chicken cesar salad to be safe and it was actually pretty good. Chicken was seasoned very well. Had one of their signature drinks that was way too sweet then switched it up with a gin and tonic that was made quite stiff. Service was friendly enough and if I were back at TYS of course I'd be back because it's the only place for me to get a nice buzz lol. read more

I had one of the worst breakfasts at this place this morning. There was a bug floating on my pineapple juice. So gross. The only reason it gets a star is because the hostess and servers were really nice and professional. I feel bad, the food is not reflective of their efforts. I ordered the pancakes which came with bacon. They were edible, but so thin and crumbly. They put a side of lettuce with orange slices on the plate. I have no idea why anyone would want to eat wilted lettuce with pancakes. The bacon was not edible. It was so thin, dry, hard, and crumbly. Bacon bits taste better. read more

Ruby Tuesday was the only full service restaurant at the Knoxville airport after security. Went for lunch. Service was quite friendly although I did have to wait a few minutes for the hostess to show up and to get the check. Beyond that, the grilled chicken sandwich was solid and I did appreciate he waitress offering other options besides French fries. The one downside is that the restaurant really needs a no mobile phone policy (talk that is)...had to endure listening to loud gossipy nonsense from one woman for 30 minutes. read more

They've got a damn good mimosa! I was stuck here waiting at the airport for my mom to come pick me up since I had some time to kill before she got there. I opted to start my vacay with a drink and as mentioned the mimosa was my poison of choice. My bartender was very nice and assertive to my needs. He added even an extra splash of champagne without charging me. I appreciated that. Strong drink and a strong sense of comfort from a good ole Ruby Tuesday. They have BREAKFEST, humble but efficient, you don't get that at a normal Ruby T's. Given the resturants need for speed, limited space, and TSA regulated plastic silverware it's your best choice at TYS. Pricing is reasonable and quality is on the upper end casual dining grade. Unfortunately they don't have space for the brands signature salad bar. I am nostalgic for the stained glass light fixtures and heavy wood feel of the original Ruby T styling but maybe i just get a little older every year. read more

Service was just so-so but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. There are only a few options in the Knoxville airport - TYS: Quizno's, Uno's, Starbucks and Ruby Tues. We had a ton of time to kill and opted for the sit-down service. I ordered the grilled salmon salad with dressing on the side. Nicely grilled, good size portion. I avoided the white iceberg (greens should be green!) and ate the rest of the greens and cucumbers. The red onion was off to the side - easy to avoid. Too much feta. Gf really enjoyed her steak with shrimp. The string beans were delicious! String beans in an airport - not bad. read more

I am surprised by the food quality considering it's in the airport. The grilled spaghetti squash and the tangy chicken tortilla soup are really tasty. It's real food! I always had a bad experience in LAX. But it seems that people in Tennessee are more healthy and picky about their food. The airport is clean and bright, people are truly nice and happy, I guess who wouldn't be when you live beside the beautiful smoky mountain. read more

I don't know if it's the location be the food was not fresh and seem like it the put my dessert a little too long in the microwave. When I asked for a refill, it appear all they did was put more ice. My flight was canceled...so I ended up having breakfast as well as lunch here...wow...this place WANTS to take great care of you. Seriously...the staff is as friendly as you can imagine...quick too. The location is perfectly located right outside of security to grab a bite before boarding. I've had some bad service and slow service throughout my many airport travels but this was by far the worst. My girlfriend sat down to order an appetizer and beer, while I finished at security. 35 minutes later there was no sign of the appetizer or the waiter. She mentioned being able to see him chatting it up with his co-workers behind the take-out counter. I understand being busy but not checking on a table for over 30 minutes is atrocious. A girl sat down beside us around 15 minutes after we arrived, then received her meal as we finally got our appetizer and an apology. The manager did come out and removed the appetizer from our check but it's a day late and a dollar short on an awful experience. read more

Horrible. Horrifyingly horrible. The service is decent, and that's the absolute best part of this place. I ordered $13 chicken tenders and they were literally inedible- and I loathe the tired and overused hyperbolic application of "literally". I couldn't eat the food because it was so bad, and I was trying to eat chicken fingers and french fries so the bar is inherently low. I appreciate that the alternatives are minimal but do yourself a favor and buy some chips from a shop in the terminal. I would rather eat napkins than ever come here again. Bar is acceptable. First bar I've been to in the USA with beer taps where you could not get what I consider a "normal" sized beer: in a pint glass. They had a giant 20 oz or an an even more giant beer. As thirsty as I was for a draft pint of beer, I settled for a can of something in a tiny glass that I had to keep refilling. Am I being fussy? I don't think so. read more

Slow service! If you are tight on time, this is NOT the place for you. After waiting at least 15 minutes for my instant oatmeal and side of bacon, I asked my waitress, "how much longer for my food?" She said, "I'll check for you." The answer, she not only forgot what I ordered, but forgot to put the order in. I did finally get my order, the bacon was cold and greasy. Neither the manager (who asked others how their meals were), nor the waitress asked if everything was ok. I had to go to the hostess stand to get my bill. It was like the staff didn't realize we had to catch flights. Another customer got tired of waiting and left before his food arrived. Something about being at airports makes me want to sit at chain restaurants to kill time. Ruby Tuesday had cocktails and snacks, and didn't mind that J and I camped out for a while, sprawled out doing work (thank you, airport WiFi!). The service isn't the best, and the menu is limited, but it beats sitting at the gate at eating Quizno's. I imagine if you're here, you'll do one or the other. read more

So I tried to make a to go order after walking at Sandy Springs Park. They put me on hold for about 7 minutes. So we start heading there anyways. All while being on hold again. After being put on hold for another 18 minutes they finally take my order. We were only 2 miles away at this point. She told us it will be 20 minutes. We arrive, he goes to pay. He had to wait another 15 minutes to pay. She then told him she just put it in when he paid, so it will be another 20 to 25 minutes. We called ahead before we left the park to see if we could dine in, they said they were at full capacity. When we arrived, there were 2 couples, and a single dine in. So only 5 people can dine in. Worst experience ever. They were not busy, but instead just laughing and chatting, and playing about. We will not be back. read more
