Walking into Texas Roadhouse, I had no intention of writing this review. Why? It's Texas Roadhouse. You either love it or don't like good food. It's an established God-blessed restaurant chain already, but I digress. Anyways, that's why there are no pictures in this review. So, we get there (put our names on the list from before we left home using the app, which is honestly the best way to do it) and we're seated within minutes with nice warm rolls. Now these rolls were beautiful. Huge. Fluffy. Delicious. Only problem is I don't eat the cinnamon butter, so when I asked for regular butter from our server (waitress? How are we referring to people now? I feel like it's constantly changing... Imma just call her by name cause homegirl the legit ONLY reason for this review) and told her I'd like a good amount Alexis came back with a GOOD AMOUNT. Never have I ever had enough butter at Texas Roadhouse in order to actually enjoy my rolls. But let me tell you, anything we asked of Alexis she went OVER AND ABOVE. Went looking for Ginger-Ale for me. Also, why ya'll ain't got no Ginger-Ale? We needa figure that out and get on that one. Please and Thank you. She took my sweet potato loaded like a regular potato instead of all the sweet stuff in it, like a champ. Even said she would give it a try. It's amazing. Mix it with that regular loaded potato and man. That's good eating. Add in a bite of steak! Yes! Thank ya Jesus! Anyways, this isn't really about the amazing food here. We all know they steak is the best for this price? Yes! Absolutely! And you know what, the service is usually good too, but this young lady need a raise, manager position, special little parking spot near the door, and a bunch of trainees. Cause they good but she's great. They King Saul, she David in his prime. Like bro, the BEST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER RECEIVED! ANYWHERE! BETTER THAN CHICK-FIL-A SERVICE! Yeah. I said it. Let that one sink in. Anyways, Alexis is literally the best. So go to Texas Roadhouse ask for Alexis (unless I'm there, then don't cause we want her) and enjoy good food and absolutely amazing service. read more

The only thing I found odd was the awards in the entry vestibule were ALL given to one woman related to the franchise owner. We are traveling thru Alcoa for a wedding. We had planned to go to a BBQ place not far from our hotel but as we were driving my husband saw Texas Roadhouse. He lives TR. He goes there often when he travels for business ( we don't have one close to our home). It was a new place for me. I am a bit underwhelmed. We were seated fairly quickly (10 min wait on a Friday night). Young man at booth was very polite and welcoming. When we were seated the waitress came fairly quickly. I asked her which was better the strawberry non alcoholic drink or the dragonfruit. She said the dragon fruit was her favorite. I ordered that and a water with lemon and a cheese fry. ( I KNOW- not healthy!) my husband ordered a Diet Coke, a LIT and the roadkill. Water and Diet Coke were delivered to me. Several minutes later the LIT was delivered. The. My husbands salads . Still no dragonfruit or lemon. My husband reminded her . She apologized and several minutes later she brought my dragonfruit. Still no lemon. Then my food came. Fries were a bit overcooked and tepid not hot. Roadkill was great. Reminded her again about lemon. Finally got it. I can't say service was 'bad' but it wasn't 'good' either. Food was decent but not great . Volume of restaurant was a bit loud but that's common with the kind of layout. I gotta give it a solid 4. I mean c'mon the rolls and tasty butter themselves almost justify the visit. I've been to this location a few times and it's always been good and consistent. The server is always pleasant and the manager swings by to make sure everything is ok. That's pretty cool service and they are always busy! So it can be a bit hectic inside but somehow everyone there doesn't seem to get in the way. Did I mention they refilled our rolls? Oh yea. had a very disappointing pickup experience at this Texas Roadhouse. When I got home, I realized that half of my order was missing. I tried calling the restaurant and was placed on hold for about 20 minutes. I was then told to wait another 20 minutes for the rest of my food. Because of the mistake, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. The most frustrating part was not just the missing food, but how dismissive the manager was when I arrived. Even after showing proof of my order, they insisted everything had been entered correctly and refused to acknowledge the mistake. I was also told I could not receive any refund because part of the order had been eaten before the error was noticed, despite the fact that the issue was caused by the restaurant. Mistakes happen, but being talked over and dismissed as a customer is unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated and unheard. I hope management and corporate take situations like this more seriously in the future. read more

Bread: I didn't do it, yay me! Dinning Area: Very Large size, open concept. Plenty of seating! Prices: Relatively inexpensive but it is a steak house. 11 oz traditional cut almost no fat, house salad, broccoli and corn, with an iced tea. $22.50 Parking: Large wrap around just off the main road. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and large, well stocked. Atmosphere: Your typical country life, TV on, sports playing, steak house. Music (country) going everyone chatting and vibing having a good time. Staff/Attendants: Server was great, super friendly, really nice and attentive. Came on a Wednesday night around 4 pm. This Texas Roadhouse waiting area was much more open than I've seen in other Texas Roadhouses. The music wasn't blasting in my ear thus making the environment delightful. Noah was our waiter and was very patient with my parents and my twins. He got them each a water with grilled chicken and applesauce. The applesauce was a hit with both of my almost 15 month olds. I had a 6 oz sirloin with a sweet potato and fries. I asked for my steak medium rare, and for the first time in quite awhile, I actually got my steak medium rare. It was such a pleasant surprise. Basically service and food are a crapshoot. We were there to give this place a second try after a pretty bad experience last time. This time, the server needed to be reminded about a couple drinks, needed some reminders about ranch cups, and never did bring more rolls after saying he was going to go get some. My wife's steak, sirloin, rare, was perfect. Mine, ribeye medium rare, was basically raw. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have steak overcooked than undercooked. This was simply cold and purple all the way through, to the point that it was hard to chew. It tasted okay, so I just ate the salad and fries, and took the steak home. I'll cut it up and finish cooking it in the morning with some eggs. Overall, I just really don't get the feeling that this restaurant actually cares. The model is to churn out as much in as little time as possible, definitely the "quantity over quality" mindset. If I come back, I'll try the ribs, because those are way harder to mess up. read more

It took several minutes for our waitress to get our drink order and once food was delivered there was minimal check-in. The food was okay; my wings were a bit cold and potato skins were burnt. My steak is always cooked exactly how i like it, the ribs are fresh, fall off the bone and sauced perfectly. Service has been spot on. If you want good quality food for a reasonable price to eat out then this is one of the only places where you can get that now. It was after 7pm on a weeknight and the server couldn't answer any of our questions because (and I quote "I'm a college student, I don't know." No excuse for not knowing that we could order our prime rib to any temp we wanted, or if they accepted one of their own coupons. My medium filet came pretty darn rare. It was cool in the center. My hubby had medium rare prime rib it came medium well. My mother in law had her prime rib cooked correctly but everyone's sides were bad. All the fresh veggies were cold and under cooked and fries were soggy and Luke warm. We even asked for extra crispy fries. We were told we were going to get bread while being seated never received until asked. When we received the bread from a different server we were told in a snotty rude way it's the last bread. Our server was good and decently attentive. Once food arrived I received the shittiest chicken tenders I've ever seen. There was 4 chicken tenders and there was barely any meat on them. Pros- our waiter was very nice. They fixed their issue on the check after we spoke with them, but didn't offer until after we said something. The manager will say they were going to take it off the check, but you can tell she says that only after you ask. So if they mess up, ask...prices are too expensive to pay what you didn't ask for. Cons- the hostess are unfriendly and rude. They sure like spending time socializing with each other, but I've never been "greeted" by a hostess with being the only person involved in a conversation. It was weird. As we exited they were chit-chatting with the manager on duty and giggling so I'm pretty sure this is just learned and allowed behavior as no one did good bye either. They were all busy having too much fun. Food is also a Con- if you purchase steak here be prepared to send it back because they don't know how to cook steak unless if you like it well done. If they have to prepare it again note, this should only take 6- 10 minutes TOPS. We got ours well done to go again 30 minutes later with mostly fat and gristle unevenly cut. read more

Potatoes were the only item that was right and cooked well. The name includes the word steak so would expect they would do it well. Bad assumption. Hello I haven't been to Texas Roadhouse since they opened the new store in Alcoa TN until last night and boy was it a huge let down! My wife and I decided to take my father there for his birthday and to be honest I wish I would have taken him anywhere except this location. To start there is no indoor waiting area so you have to stand outside in the weather. After we were finally called to be seated we had to stand at the entrance for approximately 10 min which is no big deal unless you have a medical condition as father has severe Parkinson's and can barely stand with help and a cane for a very short period of time. We were finally seated at the end of the restaurant which was fine, the restaurant was nice and our server was excellent. The food was subpar and the portions were significantly smaller than at the old location. The chili was served in paper bowls, and the steaks were very questionable if we were given the size we had ordered. Being as it was my father's birthday my wife and I decided not to say anything and ruin the dinner we just chalked it up as we know the next time we want to spend $255.00 on a meal it will not be at this location. Bottom line is if you are thinking of having a good time and good food and have any one with a disability DON'T go to this location. Built a new restaurant and lost quality and care for people who can't stand for long periods of time or be seated outside in extreme heat. It's definitely loud and lively here. It always seems busy, even on a Sunday night when my wife and I arrived. But, we only waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated. We loved our server, Josh. The service was excellent. He came by regularly to check on us. We each had a glass of Cabernet. My wife had the ribs. I had the petit filet with a baked potato and green beans. I love the fact I can just get a small portion, and for a good price ($21). The steak was cooked as requested and tasted tender and wonderful. The baked potato was fairly large and the green beans tasted great too. They were cooked with bacon, similar to collards. We were never rushed either, despite the busy atmosphere. This particular Texas roadhouse is brand new, and therefore, very clean and seemingly a well run establishment. The service was good and fairly quick, considering the large crowd at the time of our visit. At this price point, the food is overall very good. If one thing could have been better, it would have been that the salad be fresher. The bag that was served to us was at the end of its shelf life--showing brownness around the edges and somewhat wilty. Otherwise, other items we as to be expected--e.g., the mashed potatoes, gravy, country fried chicken, fish, and sirloin. The bread rolls were hot and delicious as always. The Happy Birthday celebration is "1980s Chucky Cheese" over-the-top loud and obnoxious. I'm sure the wait staff love having to perform kiddie songs to shameless adults multiple times per shift like that, NOT! Otherwise, the food is quite satisfying! read more

Visited Texas Roadhouse while in town seeing my sister. Food and drinks were great! Excellent service (we sat in the bar area). There were 2 younger ladies behind the bar, but I just can't recall their names. Both were outstanding! They took care of us the entire time we were there. It was VERY crowded and a little loud. We checked in online and reserved our place in line. Only waited about 25 minutes for a table. I only have 2 reasons for giving 4 instead of 5 stars. First, I wish drink prices would be printed on the menu. My wife ordered a Legendary Margarita, and it was more expensive than her meal. We were shocked! Second, it would be nice to have open seating in the bar area. That might help with wait times. Overall it was a great visit, and we will certainly return! read more

July 28th 2024, I have ordered curbside pickup orders from this location and have typically received good quality food. Although today's order was hit and miss at best. I ordered two herb crusted chicken with a baked potato and house salad. The chicken was overcooked and the potatoes were terrible and were thrown into the trash. Both salads were ok. I visited this location for lunch. I was lucky beat the lunch rush. Jessica was my server and the best one I have experienced in a long while. I could go on for a while about her.... Just fantastic. I had the 6oz sirloin, corn, and sweet potato. The steak was a perfect med rare as I requested. It had an awesome flavor. The sweet potato was done just right too. I love corn, hard to mess that up even if you tried. LOL. My experience here was great. I recommend it to the locals and passerby's. Sorta hard to find the secret entrance though. Hopefully that will resolve after surrounding construction is completed. I was hungry and forgot to take pics. Sorry all, but it was too good and I was hungry. read more
