This is the third time i have been to this location and this is the second time that my order was not right.

While the food was good, the staff was rude. They are supposed to be open until 9, but we were pretty much made to be felt unwelcome in the establishment by 8:45, with lights and tv being turned off. (We were watching the tv and it was turned off without even asking us) read more

We were traveling through on freeway 40 and stopped for a sandwich. the business is located very close to the freeway we got the Hook and Ladder EVERYTHING. amazing quality! Staff were efficient, friendly, we didn't have to wait. we were pleasantly surprised how GOOD our meal was, so we stopped again the following day when we were headed home. 3.5**** I stopped by on my birthday for a free sub. I love that they give out free subs on your birthday. All you have to do is show your ID and tell them what you want. Anything additional is not covered. I ordered the veggie sub with mushroom and it was surprisingly very satisfying. They went a tad over board on the sauce so my bread was extremely soggy but there was so much filling so I was a happy camper. There's a lot of seating here and a friendly staff. I just picked up two subs after using the firehouse app. One was for a medium Italian all the way. The other was a small smoked turkey sub that I specifically ask to exclude mayonnaise and brown mustard and added vinegar and oil and black olives. Well the Italian had the black olives and the smoked turkey had mayonnaise basically ruining the sandwich. There was a tiny amount of turkey and the lettuce did not look fresh. (Brownest color) We also ordered a brownie that was rock hard, obviously old. When firehouse first came out as a franchise the service and quality were exceptional. Not true at this location. Kids these days can't seem get any orders right even when that are placed over the internet. We won't be back. read more

I typically drive the extra distance to go to this location because I've have a better experience. I was perturbed by my recent experience. I notice one of the employees blowing his nose behind the register. He later got back on the line to serve food without washing his hands. During this time where a virus is circulating, I was very disappointed. I left without ordering. read more

They have good sandwiches and are usually busy around lunchtime. My favorite is the honey ham. They have a wide variety of hot sauces which is awesome! It is hard to get in and out of this parking lot though that is one of the only dilemma's I seem to face. read more

Are you ready for a quick bite? This is your place, most everyone is familar with firehouse. This one can get a little busy at times but for the most part during the week or lunch on the weekends it is great for quick sandwich with the kids. The have a couple of TVs usually with whatever game is on at the time. Great place for a warm sandwich. read more

My family and I like firehouse subs. Unfortunately, the last few visits have made it very hard to want to ever come back. My kids are very picky. So i try to explain the orders as detailed as i can. One was a kids plain bread on side, turkey meat on side, nothing else,& not heated. Somehow i get it all together with mayonnaise on it and heated. Which ruins the whole thing and now my kid wont eat it. I also ordered a medium turkey and mayonnaise only. Not heated. I got a medium turkey and lettuce with mustard and it was heated. I also ordered a medium chicken without cheese. Only lettuce, chicken, cucumbers, and asked kindly to get just a little bit of mayonnaise. I wanted this one heated. I received a mayonnaise sandwich, with chicken,onions and cheese. And not heated. The amount of mayonnaise overpowered the whole sandwich and made it extremely soggy making it extremely hard to enjoy. My orders are usually always the same and i always get it wrong one way or another. I tried giving them another chance after 3 months but it was just as bad as previous times. I always like to donate to local firehouses and always leave at least 20% tip. So it's a bit annoying to come home or get to your child's school and have lunch ruined because the sandwiches are never made as ordered. read more

Best subs in Knoxville in my opinion. I place them easily above Subway, Quiznos, Panera, Jason's, Nixon's, etc. It'd a combination of the thin slice on the meats, the freshness of the bread, the thoroughness of the heating, the tasty sauces, and especially the huge selection of gourmet hot sauces, ranked by heat level. They probably have 50 sauces and there are lots of unique flavors like mango, peach, passion fruit, and ginger, along with more standard hot sauces of all levels. My favorite is the club, but the Italian and meatball are also very good. The only thing that holds me back from a 4 star rating is that they are a little on the pricey side compared to the competition. Although worth the extra in my book. read more

Always packed, always smells yummy inside, and always good. This is a very small location with an odd parking lot. Easier to tuck in behind Walgreen instead of coming around the front. The food is always good and well prepared. If you don't mind being packed in like cattle, which is seems to always be since it's next to the highway and mall. I always get a club, regular on white, provolone instead of Monterey jack cheese, mayo and tomato only, regular combo to go. BOOM. One visit here and you will never go back to that other place named after mass transit. read more

This was a terrible experience! We love going to Firehouse subs when we visit cities that have them. This time, however, we were greeted with an incredibly rude cashier. He was obnoxious in taking the order, that eventually came out wrong. He dropped the kids cup I ordered for my daughter and then refused to go to the back to get a new one instead he charged me $0.75 for a Rice Krispie treat with my kids meal. Our order came out wrong and without the treat. After we ate and I asked for the treat he made a HUGE dealing of it and talked about me making an issue of it to his colleagues as though I wasn't standing there. My order took 20 minutes for one to-go sandwich. One of the guys behind the counter said as he's making my sandwich, "how am I supposed to take my smoke break with all these people coming in? All I want is my smoke break." The guys continued to talk about my sandwich saying, "how does she want no mayo?" And, "that's so weird." I took my sandwich home, and it was still wrong. You would think there would be no difference in the various Firehouse sub locations but you would be wrong.
