Ordered DoorDash twice this morning because the first time they forgot our 32 oz. coffee and no syrup came with our order of French toast, we do not carry syrup at home. The actual French toast was also quite bad, effectively just soggy bread and it was missing toppings. Our eggs and sausage sides were very average but nothing was technically wrong with them. I called the restaurant in between 5x in an attempt to confirm syrup and to just cancel the order if they were in fact out of the coffee. Ignored all but once when an employee picked up, said hello, I began speaking (100% politely) and he abruptly hung up. Second order came and refer to the photo below, our "32 oz." coffee wasn't half full, they effectively charged us 16 dollars for a Starbucks Venti. Is this safe to drink? Like it's an already opened Gatorade bottle with coffee in it, not labeled or sealed. The pancakes in the second order tasted like simple syrup dumped into a pan and cooked it for a bit, pretty bad but I would assume some portion of people wouldn't complain. Not a fan of roasting restaurants but this was totally justified, just terrible. Garbage, disorganized tourist trap of a restaurant with middling to bad food and worse customer service. read more

Came in for brunch on a beautiful panhandle Sunday! Crushed some seasonal mimosas and enjoyed the fluffy and airy French toast bites with our friends. Tiffany was our server and she was INCREDIBLE!! She gave each of us such great recommendations. She knew the menu front and back and didn't miss a beat! Everything she recommended was amazing. Heartbroken. We have been to several "Ruby Slippers" - our favorite is the original gritty one in New Orleans. Was so excited to hear that they were opening one in Miramar Beach. What a disappointment! Between us we ordered 3 different egg Benedict's. None of them were good. The Ruby Slipper is known for their "biscuit" Egg Benedicts. The biscuits were hard as rock - truly, we couldn't cut them. The restaurant was so busy that we didn't want to wait yet a second long time for food, so we just ate the toppings. We had planned to come back next week with family, but definitely will not do so! Much, much better places to have breakfast on the Emerald Coast! read more

Trish was our server and she was excellent. So friendly, professional and attentive. Food came out fast and she kept checking to make sure we didn't need anything else! This place is the place for breakfast if your anywhere near SanDestin. The coffee is freshly ground and strong. The breakfast tacos with chorizo were amazing. Food was out in 10 minutes. Will eat breakfast there every morning till vacation is over. read more

Underwhelming at best. Have been to other Ruby Slipper locations and was super excited when this location opened. Checked it out for the first time on Saturday and had a less than stellar experience and extremely slow service (they weren't even busy). Ordered a starter and received it with the rest of our meal...no acknowledgement or apology on the tardiness. Also, was missing 2 of 5 items from my southern breakfast. Asked our server for the missing items twice and then finally gave up. To make thing worse, our bill was nearly $100! Will not return or recommend the Ruby Slipper in Baytowne to others. read more

This is the first day Ruby Slipper opened its branch in The Village of Baytowne Wharf. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had the fired green tomato as appetizer. It was yummy. The candied bacon topping was a surprise. I have the crawfish and grit Benedict. It was a winner. I really like the grit cake instead of the biscuit. My husband enjoyed his three pigs omelette. Our server Tiffany was very attentive. It becomes our favorite breakfast/brunch place in Baytowne. read more

I've loved Ruby slipper since the first time I ate there probably 10 years ago or more in New Orleans. Since then I've eaten at Ruby slippers all over the south and enjoyed watching the brand grow. The food is always excellent and the service is even better. There's always a crowd, so get there early and enjoy a drink while you wait. Highly recommended. read more

We went to the Ruby Slipper expecting the same quality as the New Orleans location. We were sorely disappointed. The service was mediocre l, but the food was quite disappointing. My hubby literally needed a knife to cut through his biscuits and gravy. The beignets were 'heavy' and chewy. Neither was good. The pancakes were adequate, nothing special. I came with my parents for brunch this morning. Our waitress was very kind and the food was good. However, we were sat under a fan with what looked like black mold on the ceiling. We were immediately moved across the restaurant when we required a new table but I noticed a new party was sat at our previous table not even two minutes after we left. The staff was clearly aware of this gross area, there shouldn't be any customers sat under this. Gross! read more

My wife and I arrived at about 9 am to see a line awaiting sitting, which was about a hour. We walked in and were seated at the bar and like we usually do, we expected better service sitting front and center, with our bartender/waitress Azalia. After 10 minutes, we were finally acknowledged and asked for a water and tea. After 5 minutes we received them. After another 10, as we were about to walk out, she asked for our order. We stopped in for breakfast. Our server was prompt and friendly. I ordered the peacemaker (Eggs Benedict) one with shrimp and one with chicken. The biscuits and both tomato and cream gravy were very good. The chicken was fried perfectly. Husband had the bananas foster pancakes. He raved about it being delicious! Portions are big. We weren't impressed. The menu was full of amazing options that it was very hard to even know what to eat... but the food wasn't anything special. Bacon was cooked to my liking, eggs didn't have much flavor, biscuits were dry and overly large in my opinion, pancakes were too thick and sweet (Whata Burger's pancakes are 10x better!) The shrimp and grits were pretty good but definitely not a good option for breakfast. One star is generous- we got seated outside and did not get a waitress til 20 minutes after we were seated- would have had to wait longer if we hadn't sent one person from our party to get us a waiter. She arrived and said "what do you want to drink" instead of saying her name or how we were. We then were told "i have tables inside so i may not be out here as frequently" , we then asked if we could move inside then for service and the waitress just got up and moved inside. When we walked in she was talking to a different waitress about how we were acting. I asked to speak to a manager. Was given the bar tender... we were moved to a table by the corner and my mom sat down and the bar tender said "good idea to put her in the corner" and then was told we would receive water to calm her down. We left. Incredibly upset with this experience. The only individuals who cares at that establishment were the hostess which the bar tender told them to leave it alone can't please everyone.
