Absolutely delicious!! You have to try the shrimp and grits, they're so yummy and full of flavor! We also loved the breakfast casserole. The staff were very friendly.

OMG! All I have to say is absolutely the best omelette I have EVER had. This is cafeteria style. Everything was good. My husband said the hash browns were amazing. The shrimp and grits were THE BOMB. This place is a must!!

Plan on coming again tomorrow, every time I'm in town I always stop by this place. The food is fresh and amazing and well priced and if you come during popular hours there will always be a line since everyone knows! Thankfully it'll be a short wait since the food is served cafeteria style on your plate. The sides are always awesome too, and you choose wherever you want to sit. I always sit outside, the patio is well ventilated even in summer.

There was only ONE place I had to go while we were in PSJ, and it was here. I have heard amazing things about the food, so our first day down here before we went to get groceries, we came here first! As soon as I saw Shrimp and Grits on the menu, it was over. I got that, along with the cream corn and green beans. My fiancée got the smothered chicken, the Mac and cheese, and the green beans. Outstanding. The shrimp to grit ratio was perfect and the cream corn rivaled my grandmother's, and I always say hers is the best. The green beans had a kick to them, and I was in love. Service was fantastic, everyone was as sweet as could be, and we were sad to leave. Will DEFINITELY be back on our next trip down here!

Owner is a little unhinged, passive aggressive and rude. Let a constructive criticism review on google and you can tell they immediately take issue and personally attack any negative feedback. Even if it's merited to them being rude and a customer leaving an honest review. This is the review I left and attached photos of the responses ( since they think they can say rude stuff on the internet then change their mind later..) "bland and underwhelming lunch lady / cafeteria style serving. I'm sure the owner will respond some passive aggressive style response like they did serving me in line asking a question about what the food is. Eggs should be cooked when ordered not in a steam sauce pan to heat up. Takes like 5 mins to make omelet or fried egg" Added this after first response: Update: Nice passive aggressive response (just like I originally said), Just take the "L" and constructive criticism of your negative attitude and poor culinary skills.

Such a great cozy place and adorably decorated

Staff was nice but food was not very good - cafeteria style salty, with not much other flavor. I was disappointed given the other reviews.

Does this place have a buffet too?

Hey there. We are set up Cafeteria Style. You come down our line and order a "meat" and "two". It is not an open buffet, all you can eat, line. One meat, two sides, bread and a drink for $10. Come on and give us a try. Chef Scotty.

We waited around 20 minutes for a table, grabbed two beers from the bar, and sat outside while we waited. Once seated, we were "greeted" by our server, and that interaction set the tone for the rest of the evening. She was rude, short, and overall unpleasant. She never checked in after any course, seemed uninterested in our experience, and at times even slammed food onto the table. Every interaction felt rushed, and as soon as she came by, she was quick to disappear. It felt like she had no concern for our satisfaction throughout the meal. We had planned on staying for dessert and another round of drinks, but honestly felt uncomfortable doing so. When we asked for a box, she already had the check in hand. While I understand wanting to be efficient and prepared, given her attitude throughout the night it came across more like she was trying to rush us out than provide good service. The food truly was excellent, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, we did not get her name, but she was blonde and wearing a pink shirt. I get being busy but this was simply not the case.

Best Fried Chicken in Panama City or Panama City Beach -- truly!…read more This is THE fried chicken: perfectly seasoned, thickly breaded, explosively crisp! Absolute YUM. But then... the sides... Who serves fried chicken and doesn't offer chicken gravy for the mashed potatoes? I asked, and the reply was: "We have brown and white." Brown and White??? That's a fried‑chicken sin. And the sin deepened when the "mashed potatoes" turned out to be so watery they could practically be served in a cup. I mentioned it to the waitress, who explained, "We use a mix of instant and real potatoes." OH‑kaaay. My response: "Way too much water." Meanwhile, I'm wondering where the butter and cream went. For reference: I took a skinny straw and actually sucked the potatoes through it. That's how thin they were. The vegetables, however, were genuinely delicious -- classic Southern style and well prepared. A surprise hit: the fried hoecakes. Imagine Jiffy sweet corn muffin mix dropped by the scoop full into the fryer. Oddly enough, they were even better dipped into the "brown" gravy (which tasted suspiciously like modified yeast extract). Look, I understand stretching product and using convenience items. But if you're going to cut corners, do it on pre‑slicing the desserts -- not on the core of a Southern plate. My suggestion to the owners: Lean into what you do exceptionally well -- that phenomenal fried chicken. Sell it by the bucket! I'll come buy it! Trim the sprawling buffet, reinvest in real mashed potatoes with butter and cream, make real gravies, and offer a rotating blue‑plate menu. Do fewer things excellently instead of trying to be an "everything" restaurant and missing the mark on the basics. The chicken is worth the trip. The sides could be, too, with a little love.
