Bacon was thick and smoky, the roll had just the right "squish" and "chewiness" of a good hard roll, and it wasn't greasy or sloppy at all, which is exactly why I picked it. The Mediterranean salad was not quite what I expected, I thought it would involve black olives and feta cheese, but it had neither, and I appreciated that it was different and not too oily. The food prices feel a touch high but if you look at the quality of the food, and their use of premium ingredients, it is reasonable for what you get. Staff was friendly and good came out fast. There is a long table for bigger groups and small tables for up to four to sit. If you never had grits, this a good start, but there are many varieties, colors, and ways to prepare. In the low country you have to try them at several places to find you favorite. A little like Goldilocks and for many southerners a matter of personal taste. Finally, the people were consummate southern hospitality!
