11:30 on a weekday. Steady trickle of people. You can dine in, about 10 tables. Huge menu with a million variations between bagels, spreads, toppings, including other bread and wraps. But regardless of that, 2 breakfast burrito wraps ans a cinnamon bagel was over $40. Wow. I can't make that okay in my mind. Place was clean, staff was super friendly, prices were high. But if you love bagels, give it a shot. The breakfast burrito was made on a soft taco sized tortilla with some scrambled eggs, piece of bacon and some cheese. $15.00. Still hungry:) read more

Ruby's Bagels in Summerville is very good and super fresh. We placed an order for a dozen bagels and two containers of cream cheese, and everything was ready right on time for pickup. The bagels themselves were great -- fresh, soft, and really flavorful. Staff seemed friendly, and the atmosphere inside is nice as well. My only complaint is that the French toast bagel was placed in the same bag as the rest. Since it's sticky, it ended up making several of the other bagels sticky too. I've seen other places put that one in a separate bag, which works much better -- just a small suggestion. Overall though, definitely a spot we'd order from again. read more

I love Ruby's Bagels!!! Their cream cheese flavors, variety of bagels, and the smoothies are good quality. Today I popped in for a lemonade since Mochinut was closed for the holiday. I always like to try their seasonal goods so today got the staycation which was an iced tea with coconut and a splash of pineapple. The place I intended on going to was extra crowded but I saw Ruby's Bagels was in the same plaza area and I e been wanting to try them. The atmosphere is chill and they have an amazing assortment of bagels in which I bought a dozen of. They also have a great assortment of cream cheeses in which I bought the Oreo (yes I said Oreo) and the veggie cream cheeses. Absolutely love Ruby's bagels! The service here is so kind, informative and sweet. There are a lot of bagels to choose from as well as various cream cheeses. I almost always leave with half a dozen bagels and 2 cream cheese containers, sweet and savory. The breakfast items are great and a very filling size. Wow! When our Long Island native friends recommended this place, we knew it had to be legitimate--it is!! Bagels are outstanding!! They have that soft yet crunchy exterior, and the flavor denotes fresh ingredients. Superb. The only caveat: they use foil for to go orders. Breakfast run .... Rubys Bagel was down the street from the AirBnB .. it's a nice cozy spot .. the New York train signs added a special touch since it's NYC themed .. I got the RICO bagel that was suggested by Begonia ... a fried egg , turkey bacon , avocado, cheddar , chipotle mayo ... so unfortunately after getting back to the AirBnB I noticed that my bagel had 1/2 turkey bacon 1/2 pork bacon .. so I had to drive back to get the correct bagel ... The gentleman made me a fresh bagel and had me check it before leaving anc it was made correctly. Overall the bagel was good ... nice and fresh i wish I have gotten extra chipotle mayo .. the avocado was also fresh and a healthy serving and the egg was cooked perfectly. So for a place that boasts authentic NY style bagels, i had to come by. Being from NY, we take pride in our bagels. I got a mixed bag of bagels, they had a bunch of different options. Immediately got the egg bagel and when I tell you. It was delicious, bit into it fresh and it pulled apart so easily. Was perfectly soft while also having give to hold stuff. I got a spinach asiago bagel and that one was delicious as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Gave me a complimentary bagel to try it out. Small location but its a bagel place, honestly captures the feel of a bagel place in NY, no one hangs out. They grab their stuff and go. Bagel sandwiches are a tad bit pricey for me, but the bagels themselves? A dozen for 26 bucks is not bad at all, especially for delicious well made bagels read more

Came back to the location in nexton ordered the usual bacon because they only had a small selection of muffins. I received looked to be about 3 pieces for $3.89. I'm glad I opened my box before leaving out because this review may have been worst. They definitely agreed with the fact that the small amount was displeasing and added more for me. Thanks for the quick and accommodating service. It was a little after 7 in the morning so they look to be still preparing things and doing a little training. We are from Brooklyn so we had to go and see about this new bagel shop especially after my wife's coworker reccomended..The place is very nice but small 4 or 5 people in front of us but the line moved nicely..You can eat in or take out.I was helped by a very nice young lady and I sampled a half dozen of all different types.. Tried this place a couple more times. Although they still have limited vegan options, still have decent New York inspired bagels. Drinks are not too bad either my kids really love going here often since they're not vegan. The service for me has been hit or miss. Sometimes very friendly staff, sometimes staff that seem like they'd rather be somewhere else. Tried this place again in hopes of a better experience but unfortunately it was worse. Called to place an order and was told they don't take orders over the phone, which I found extremely odd. Ordered extra Taylor ham because last time it was very scarce- an extra 2 slices was $3! Also not sure what mystery meat they put on the sandwiches but as a NJ native I can assure you it is NOT Taylor ham. It's also sliced so incredibly thin. Four paper thin slices of some other sort of breakfast ham later and the order ended up being over $30 for two sandwhiches. Absolutely insane. Won't ever order from here again. read more

The service was excellent and fast. We were lucky to get there at a good time, because it got busy as soon as we sat down to wait on our order. I tried a hot seasonal "Te Amo" latte, the main flavors were chocolate, almond, and cherry. It was yummy! My family got 3 Rico's and 1 Cooper. We all got different types of bagels, but all delicious nonetheless. The inside is a little smaller than other locations we've visited, so it was a little crowded, but I wouldn't say that took away from a good experience. We enjoyed our bagels so much so that we decided to try something else from the menu and take it to go on our trip back home. I ended up ordering a strawberry bagel with very berry cream cheese and a French toast bagel with cinnamon apple cream cheese. read more

These bagel sandwiches are good but if you want a better bagel I suggest "Wakey Bakey" which is around the corner from this rubys. Way more flavor and a hearty amount of food. Rubys does a good smear of cream cheese though, you never need to ask for extra and the have a lot of variety. Its just not... rocking my socks off and also reminds me nothing of a New York bagel from the corner stores. read more

It's the closest thing to a New York style bagel experience I've found, especially first thing in the morning with a warm jalapeño cheddar bagel that's fluffy on the inside with the right amount of crunch, paired with a New York iced coffee. What truly sets this place apart is the team. They are consistently accommodating and go beyond standard customer service by actively giving back to the community not just during business hours, but after hours as well. No one looked happy to be there and their customer service is severely slacking! To the girl making my coffee to the girl who calls out your food they seemed very annoyed at everyone being there. This morning I ventured out into the rain because I was craving a bagel. Generally my customer service is pretty good at this location but today when the Manager Begonia (according to my receipt) was asking me to double check if I received my side of honey butter, I told her I had an extra item in my bag, but wasn't sure what it was. It looked like an extra side of butter or cream cheese ( a small tiny container) this chick starts yelling give that to me it's for a different order!! As if I stole it. I said YOU put it in my bag I didn't go back to the kitchen and take it! She was so unprofessional and rude, I literally will not return. I didn't even know what the extra small container was, but her tone, delivery and style of communication was inappropriate and very dramatic for such a small item that THEY put in my to-go bag. I would suggest customer service training, and to think she is a manager. (Sad) read more

We order the chopped sun dried tomato Asiago bagel,, pepperoni bagel on the bacon cheddar jalapeño bagel, very berry cream cheese, chicken salad, and 4 assorted bagels to go. I was super excited to try these bagels since I've always heard great things about Ruby's. I absolutely love bagels. They are one of my favorite food groups. NYC bagel? Sign me up for 100 of them. These bagels, however, really not good at all. I got a blueberry bagel and strawberry cream cheese. Both of them are filled with fake flavoring. The extract/flavoring is so strong that it tastes like candy. The strawberry cream cheese didn't taste like it had any strawberries in it, just flavoring. It was hot pink in color if that tells you anything. Both items just tasted incredibly fake! I'm so bummed because I was looking forward to this location. read more
