I've been to this nail salon three times now. I typically do a basic mani/pedi as I have natural nails. In July I opted for a gel mani as we were going on vacation and I wanted a longer-lasting manicure. The service provided has always been impeccable. The staff is very friendly and listens to what is requested. Management also checks in often and provides regular drinks in addition to several specialty drinks. I found this place by just doing an internet search and they were highly recommended, so I thought I'd give it a try. I called and was able to get an appointment 2 hours later. When I arrived, the man at the counter asked if he could help me but wasn't very friendly. He seemed to be distracted. He asked which service I wanted and when I told him it was my first visit he didn't seem to acknowledge my comment. I would expect a friendly and thorough explanation of the services but felt I was left to figure it out on my own. This location offers free cocktails and he did provide me with one of those. It wasn't what I ordered but was good nonetheless. The woman doing my pedicure was very friendly. She did a nice job but I do wish the massage would have been a little stronger. It was light for my liking. I wish there was an option to pay for additional massage time. Regardless my toes turned out nice. I may give this place one more try in hopes of getting a bit more personalized service. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! SPEND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! ZERO STARS !! 1st visit - Amazing! 2nd visit - Terrible!!! Polish was thick, chunky, and chipped the same day! 3rd and last visit - Horrible! I specifically stated I wanted my nails and toes to match. I spoke with two different people who assured me the dip powder was a set and matches the toes. When they started painting, I said the colors don't match. They assured me it was just the number of coats. When finished, I said again it doesn't match. They tried to convince me it was the same color. As you can see in the pictures, it definitely is not. Finally the lady admitted that the colors do not match however, still charged me $95 & said she would have the owner call me. That is poor customer service!!! How do you charge for a service you failed to fulfill!! I have not heard from anyone. Needless to say, I will not be returning, nor will my daughter or her college friends that she brought to this establishment. This place has been my go-to for the last year and I've really been pleased with every visit until yesterday. My daughter recently had some health issues and a rough last couple of months so I took her out for what I hoped would be a relaxing, pampering pedicure. Instead she was injured and treated rudely. I was also there having a pedicure and my nails filled. When we arrived we were greeted by the manager and everything seemed just fine. However, later on he must've gone for the day and left another woman in charge because the mood changed drastically at that point. It was still a couple of hours before closing and we were still in the chairs in the middle of our services and the woman who seemed to be in charge rang up our services and brought me the receipt. That was unusual because previously this is always done at the checkout desk when you're ready to leave. I advised her that I had also requested a manicure to clean up my cuticles. Both the manager and my nail tech said, oh you don't need that! I advised her that I still wanted it, but she took just went back and took that service off our bill and brought the receipt back. It was very clear that they were trying to get us out of there as soon as possible. My guess is they were going to close early. After we left, my daughter told me that the nail tech that helped her was very rough with her and downright rude. She kept saying, "Keep still, keep your foot here!" The worst part is that we had to leave there and head straight to a pharmacy to get Band-Aids and antiseptic spray because she had several cuts all over her heels. I am beyond disappointed in this place and will NEVER return. read more

Thoroughly impressed with this nail salon, the nail techs, and the overall service I received! The manager, Vu, reached out to me after I posted my initial review. He apologized, and offered to redo my nails at no charge. Vu was so kind, and truly went above and beyond, which not a lot of other managers/owners do now a days when receiving constructive criticism. I went back to the nail salon today, a few days after my first visit, and had an amazing experience!! My nails look amazing and they were just want I wanted! I generally don't try out brand new places. I usually let businesses work out the kinks before I try them out, but I took a chance on Ruby Nail Bar and I'm happy I did. Paul did my "dip" nails and they turned out exactly how I described to him they way I like them. Perfection! I added an extra manicure service to my "dip" nails and my hands and arms were so amazingly soft! The neck massage was out of this world fantastic! I am sold on Paul and Ruby Nail Salon. Now those "kinks" I told you about: yeah, it was the pedicure that John gave me. The owner, Vu, convinced me to try the gel nails on my toes. I had a great coupon, so I figured, "Why not?" I explained to both Vu and John about the ingrown nails on my feet that needed attention. I guess John's phone conversation that he was on during my appointment was more important than the pedicure he was giving me. Granted, I was distracted by the college football games on the tv and my phone, but hey, I was the customer. John wasn't rude. He was very nice and friendly, but ultimately, he lacked attention to detail. He didn't address the ingrown toenails on one foot at all, and only cut the nail awkwardly on the other foot with the severe ingrown toenail. He did not extract any of my ingrown toenails. All of my toenails have extremely sharp corners that snagged on my socks and ripped my skin. And he forgot to do the gel on my toes. When Vu asked him why he did not do the gel on my toes, John told Vu he could not find the color, but he never mentioned anything about not doing the gel to me (hello, customer here.) Overall, the place is very well appointed and very clean, the owners were super friendly and Paul saved the day with his fabulous "dip" nails and massage. I really wanted to like this place... And my experience ended up being OK. But my nails originally looked terrible I got just gel and it was streaky and parts of it was transparent part of my nails were not even painted. I asked her to fix it and just make it a darker color and it ended up being better. But the fact that I even got to that point it's kind of concerning. My pedicure was pretty good in comparison to my manicure she took the 415 minute massage as was part of what I paid for which some places do not honor. read more

Well, I visited this nail salon due to so many good reviews on here. The nail lady who helped me was really polite and kind, I asked for a ombré french nail design. Also a diamond design on my ring finger. After having completed my nails, she told me she hadn't had enough experience doing designs on nails. It was true, my ring fingers looked TERRIBLE. She definitely knew it because she offered me to come back within the week to have it re done with no charge. I came back and thankfully my nails looked ten times better. I tipped her again. My initial visit was 72$ with tip! After my re do appointment, I thought I was happy. The issue was when my nails came off.... 3 of my nails became infected. Pseudomonas nail infection. (This review is solely based off of my 2 experiences with getting Nexgen nails at Ruby Nail Bar) The nail salon I had been going to for 10+ years closed but thankfully my nail girl told me she was moving to Ruby Nail Bar, so of course I followed her. I've only been to Ruby twice now, so I can't really give a full review just yet, but I can say that the 2 times I have been, have been great! The salon is huge, they have a fully stocked bar, offer you a drink menu right as you sit down, and Vu the manager is very friendly and accommodating. Like I said I come here now for my nail girl but my true test are the pedicures. I'm picky about my pedicures and I only get them as a treat to myself, so whenever I do pay for a pedicure I want to feel comfortable and relaxed. I hate when pedicures are rushed and the tech is hurrying to finish. I love when my cuticles and any rough skin is attended to and not rushed through. The most important thing that I care about when I treat myself to a pedicure is the MASSAGE! My favorite part. If the massage is rushed and I don't feel cared for I won't return. I've heard good things about Ruby's pedicures though so I have high hopes. I have my go to nail girl (of 10+years!) but I've been searching everywhere for my "pedi girl" Someone that I can go to who takes care of me, takes their time, pays attention to detail, and most importantly gives a badass leg/foot massage! I have high hopes for Ruby Nail Bar so I'll report back once I've experienced a few pedicures here. Overall though, I think this is my new "home" and so far I'm happy I followed my nail girl here. I went in to try this salon today based on Yelp reviews. My mistake. First, let me say, I'm a MedSpa owner. I understand business and customer service. The owner started to help me but kept walking away because they were busy. I made an appointment for a Gel manicure. She told me over and over how I need Dip. Finally I agreed just to not have to say no- AGAIN. She left me and another gentleman name Kyle came over to help me. He was polite. But he messed up my nail's terribly. My fingers hurt from how much dip he applied, my skin is attached to the dip still, even after washing and applying oil. He cut my finger and he filed my nails down WAY too narrow and they are painful. I've NEVER experienced anything like this. They knew they messed up, before I said anything and offered me a "discount" of $4 off. Seriously?? AND I still tipped him, over 20%. I went to my car and CRIED. I was so upset and disappointed. Now I have to wait for my nails to grown back in. AND go get this dip removed. I'm going back to Auroa off Stacy. They do a great job, every time and it's worth it to drive a little further than to have someone ruin your nails. read more
