Everything here is delicious and large portions. The ladies that work here are very friendly, helpful and informative. The food is tasty and made with love. Salsas are delicious. Prices are very reasonable as well. They make specialty items with corn tortillas instead of the normal flour which are very good and less carbs. When i am "Jonesing" for some down and dirty street tacos, this is where i go. I actully prefer the one on foothill in Rancho Cucamonga. I always order the carne asada tacos with avocado. You sit at the counter and can watch everything that they make and i always want to try the quesadillas, tortas, sopes, etc. but i know how good the tacos are and i can't bring myself to order anything else (plus Molly and Tony at bootcamp say tacos are A OK when you are watching your calories... shhh don't tell them about the chips i eat). Mexican is all about the hot sauce and they have 3 kinds. I love the killer red hot chili... so hot it burns your mouth but you can't stop eating it . The green sauce is killer too. Crud i haven't had dinner and this review is making my mouth water. Have driven past this place so many time I finally had to give it a chance. Our order was simple; 4 carne asada burritos and 1 taco de lengua. I phoned it in and the service was good on the phone. 10 mins later, picked it up. The place is a little dumpy on the outside (sun scorched signage) and the layout on the inside is funky but it was clean. Service at the counter was good. Asked and received extra salsa at no extra cost. The food was heavy and smelled good. Got home 5 mins later and took a bite. The burritos were huge! The problem was they were stuffed with rice and beans. Not to say there wasn't a decent amount of meat inside, but I'd rather have more meat than filling. The taste was just ok. Run if the mill seasoning and meat quality. The taco was soaked. And the lengua was very gamey...tasted like it was lamb tongue. I like lamb tongue, but not in a taco. The salsa were not good. Lacked flavor and heat. And they were salty. The green was better than the red but I wouldn't want neither again. I would not recommend new comer to try this restaurant. I decided to give it a try one day afterwork (restaurant is on my way home never noticed it until recently), I ordered carne asada burrito, it has no favor at all, if I didn't order it, I would not know what meat I was eating, meat is very clumsy almost like mince beef not very well when wrapped in tortilla. I hardly find any meat in my burrito. I ended up starving later that night. I am glad I did not get diarrhea, but definately won't go back. read more

Good food can make up for alot. Like a sorta clean kitchen and just OK service. But the torta is great. More authentic food than most "Mexican Food" joints around. Good prices and portable grub so you can enjoy in your own clean environment. I always feel welcome here, but think that they sometimes forget they are running a business. Yelling at top volume across the kitchen at the guy in the office is not the way to inspire a friendly peaceful environment. Still, the food is great. Super divey place with counter seating and table seating. It is next to a liquor store that has people hanging out in front. This used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant in Upland. However, a new cook was hired. The tacos and burrito we ordered were EXTREMELY greasy to the point that my pregnant wife almost vomited. We complained to management (the owner's wife) and she was extremely rude. She gave us a dirty look and hesitantly gave us a new order of tacos. Came here about three months ago, after having a carne asada burrito I knew I would be returning. The first time I visited this location was during the summer. The burrito was great, I picked a pretty HOT sauce (what to most is mild to me was HOT) turns out the burrito wasn't the only thing that was HOT... The temperature of the establishment was HOT as well, Seems very uncomfortable to eat a HOT burrito in a hot environment. My recommendation is to try the food in the comfort of nice fall Upland weather than in the summer or in the comfort of your home. The food or the burritos for the most part is worth to stop buy and take out if the dine in temperature is uncomfortable. The staff was friendly, and for $5 the burritos seems like a good deal. People are so mean hiding behind their keyboards! This place has an awesome setup on Fridays and Saturdays after 6:30pm out front, they have a grill and al pastor roasting on the spit (trompo). Hard to find authentic al pastor, most places cook it on the grill drenched in sauce- no bueno. Their carne asada is good too, and the plain cheese quesadillas are so damn delicious, I always have to order one of those. Their red chile is amazing. Not the greatest dining atmosphere but I don't care as long as the foods on point. We've only met friendly and kind employees here who go out of their way to make us happy. Rubens taco is very bland and a typical upland mexican place. The meat had alot of fat and was very chewy. The bean are served whole in thier burritos and have absolutely zero salt. They charge 1.50 to use your atm card and the cashier didnt speak any english. I will never return!!!!! read more
