    Veggie Burrito

Ruben's is such a hidden gem in Baltimore. I've had their food from their food truck and the Fell's location. The burrito always comes STUFFED to the brim and their sauces are DIVINE. I love how fresh their food is and how quickly the service is for the food to be made ready to go. Perfect to grab at the fells point square area and sit outside and eat! Definitely can't miss this place if you're in the area!

Burrito was really small and didn't have a lot of flavor until I added the signature sauce which was really spicy but good once you mixed it with the liquidy sour cream packet. Luckily I had some homemade Chipotle vinaigrette that made it edible. The chicken was dry and there was more rice in it than anything.

I loooooovvvveee their tacos. They are the most perfect tacos to me. My partner used to bring them home and they'd be delicious and reheated well. I finally went and ordered them myself and they were still delicious. They are very consistent. We walked up and rang a doorbell and ordered the food. You can see the kitchen through the window. I ordered my food through a window and waited for about 10 minutes for our food to be ready. I ordered the chicken tacos which are about 2.5$ a taco. My friend ordered the carne tacos. The corn shells are perfect. They are soft but firm. They hold all the filling well without tearing. I used to prefer flour tortillas, Bit this place converted me. The tacos are little but bursting with filling. I like how the chicken is very finely chopped. It isn't shredded or ground but just finely chopped. The texture is really good to me. It comes with the various toppings. But what really makes this amazing is the hot sauce that comes with it. It is spicy and full of flavor. My friend said her carne tacos were amazing and came with gucamole and a bunch of other toppings.

I have been searching for a good Birria taco spot in Baltimore for a while now. Ruben has delivered, I was on the Uber Eats app last night and noticed they had a promotion of buy one get one free. I placed my order and picked it up. When I arrived I had to ring a bell and a gentleman gave me my order through the window. Each Birria order comes with 3 crunchy tacos filled with beef, Mexican cheese, onion, cilantro and of course a side of consome. These tacos were so good, just melted in my mouth. The beef was cook to perfection and the sauce was well seasoned. I even used the left overs for my ramen noodles. I highly suggest visiting Ruben's if you are searching for some food Birria in Baltimore.

Not gonna lie. This place is very mid. Reading the comments and watching videos it's clear that this place is the go to when you are drunk or late at night. Been a few times so far. Pretty basic. Flavor is there (most of the time) but the chicken is always dry smh. Got the steak a twice and the same thing. DRY! I'm thinking the meat is sitting out too long or it's being cooked too long. The veggie taco very good! Not sure if I would recommend this place if you were looking for really good tacos but I would recommend them if it's past 11:30 you're in Federal Hill hungry and on a budget it'll work for the night.

I went to Ruben's to partake in Yelp's Celebrate the 410 deal. For $4.10, I got to try their Founder's Burrito. I must say this deal was a steal! The burrito was huge! It was loaded with chicken, steak, rice, beans, veggies, cheese, guacamole, and their signature sauces. Honestly, I could only ear half of it because it was so big and filling. The burrito is definitely shareable or can be split into two meals. Some other things to note... Ruben's is not a sit down or even a walk-in restaurant. You place your order at the window outside. This could absolutely suck if it's bad weather and you had to park blocks away while you wait for your food. They give you an estimated time that your food should be ready. I visited on a nice day so I just waited on the sidewalk until my order was ready. This is literally a to-go/carryout type of spot so don't expect to have anywhere to sit and eat here. If you absolutely can't wait to get home, you can check out the nearby Cross Street Market and utilize their seating areas. Nevertheless, the food is definitely tasty and worth it. I'd like to come back and try their birria tacos.

    Veggie Rice Bowl

Got this veggie rice bowl for takeout! It had lots of vegetables and I really enjoyed how fresh it tasted. It had pico on top along with mushrooms, spinach, and beans. It was heavy on the rice. Overall, highly recommend getting takeout from here! They have a lot of other food I would be interested in trying, including tacos and quesadillas! They have $2 tacos on tuesdays at both locations! Their sauces are especially delicious. I particularly recommend the signature sauce to put on top because it's spicy and has a kick! The green sauce is also a great addition on top!

This was a nice little Mexican restaurant that's near the Inner Harbor. We walked here from our hotel. They don't have any seating in the restaurant so be aware of that. I had the steak tacos and a chicken burrito. The steak was pretty tender and the onions on the tacos were very fresh. I liked the chicken burrito as well and I had a jamica as my drink. This meal was pretty good for the first place I visited in Baltimore.

Taco Tuesday! I tried the chicken & veggie taco initially and loved it so much, I went back and got more within the same hour LOL. Staff is really friendly. Tacos are tasty and priced well. I also had some hibiscus tea on the house which was yummy. Definitely would recommend and go back.

Each taco is extremely fresh and I can tell that it was crafted meticulously in the kitchen. Be mindful that each taco is priced separately and you get a single taco ranging from $10.00 - 15.00. The guacamole is fresh and garnished with strawberries. Personally, I typically go for a spicier and more flavorful guac, but if you opt for a fresh and simple dish, then it certainly checks the box. The queso is thick, cheesy, and topped with peppers. I personally could appreciate a creamier queso, but I will say the dish looks and smells amazing. The oysters are rather small in size but they're extremely fresh and come topped with a jalapeño. My expectations for the drinks were a bit higher than what they delivered. Drinks tasted a bit watery and the flavor wasn't as potent (this says a lot for someone like myself who is pretty light weight). Service was fairly accommodating, however, keep in mind that they enforce a rule of having half of your party there prior to seating you. Also be mindful that their menu changes to dinner at 5:00PM, and seating at the outside bar may be closed depending on when you arrive. My favorite of all the dishes was the was the Al Pastor taco! I'd like to give this place another try because just based off of the aesthetic alone it has sooo much potential to be absolutely amazing!

What I loved the most is that the corn tortillas didn't fall apart!!! I hate it when I go to eat a taco and it falls apart. They cooked the tortillas enough so they held up, but were still soft. Did I already say how good the tacos were?! Along with the meat is cilantro, some onions, and you can top it with some green chili sauce. Sooooo good! The pico de Gallo was some of the best I've ever had. I know what you're thinking. How could you go wrong with pico de Gallo? Yeah, I wonder the same thing, but this pico was FRESH with just the right ratio of tomato, onion, cilantro, etc. Next time I'll order two of them. The chips are restaurant-made. That was our first indicator that the food was going to be ALL that we hoped it would be. AND it was. The beans were pinto beans. Memories from home and the ultimate comfort food.
