They said they would not order our pool until the permit process was complete. Our permit was approved in the beginning of August and we were ready to order the pool and put in as soon as it was ready. We ripped up the concrete, gigantic hole was dug, air conditioning unit was moved, and all sprinklers were shut off getting ready for installation. After another $17,000 check was written, we were ready. After continued attempts, we were strung along. No pool has been ordered, and no one will call us back. Our contractor that we had worked with for the past couple of months was "let go". We now are out over $70,000, with no pool, and a dying dirt pit in our backyard. We have contacted the BBB as well as Contractors board. They are apparently still trying to drum up business to cover the debt they currently hold. Do not do business with this company.

New vanities, sinks, and toilets installed. The on-site team always wore masks during the project, and left the area clean after each day's work. No project like this is without issues, especially as the contractor can't know what will be found underneath the old work. We had some disagreements over certain things, but Jim and his crew made it right in the end. We all even learned some things. Regardless, it's always a good idea to check all work after each day. The team always wore masks during the project. Jim went out of his way to accommodate our requests, and we were quite pleased with the work schedule. Jim always made sure to phone us at the end of each work day to explain what will be next. One bit of constructive criticism for the team is to make sure to check and double check the plumbing connections.

There is a large pool that is divided into main splash area for all ages, lap lanes, and deep end for diving boards and a drop off slide. I know they have requirements for income, age, and certain statuses that usually keep flaky students from being able to apply. Having visited them here a few times, I have to say that they've got their act together and parking is never an issue. Security is fabulous and they do a good job of holding down the fort during football games. Most of all, the apartments are good, spacious, and clean. I would have loved to live here but getting into here is almost as good as winning the local lottery. Cheaper rent doesn't always account for easy access.

They sent us a letter telling us to quit feeding the cats outdoors--which we had never done-- and cited us for parking backwards--which we did do. It's safer! We tried to be perfect tenants and were rewarded by receiving an eviction notice because my bank screwed up the bill pay over Christmas/New Years (I can prove this). An advisory phone call would have been nice, rather than waiting until they could slap on the $100 late fee. That's when I decided to move! The unit I rented was in Eugene near Autzen Stadium, and in that two-year period, we experienced shootings across the street, a stabbing in the next apartment building, a bum sleeping under the outside stairs, an attempted car break-in and someone trying to get in through the bedroom window. The empty apartment upstairs flooded, which filled the light fixtures and ran down the walls. A broken window opening mechanism was never repaired. The icing on the cake was when we moved out, I inadvertently left two bags with recyclable cans and a small shelf sitting beside the door. A phone call would have been nice, but instead the management wrote me a letter, giving them many days to reap the "abandoned goods" clause ($50) and $30/day storage fee for eight days, which they deducted from my deposit. Where's the humanity? I will say that the maintenance staff was extremely responsive and helpful. The office staff is pleasant and well-meaning, but they are marching to the beat of the greedy corporate office of Norris & Stevens. My recommendation is to rent from them only if you have no other choice!

Spa and Hot Tub I feel it's my responsibility to warn potential patrons to avoid this business like the plague, unless you're willing to tolerate a passive aggressive sales staff and inept service people. During a recent service call to replace part of the hot tub plumbing, the serviceman failed to fix the issue and made the problem worse. The service guy spent three and a half hours, much of it spent listening to audio books while he worked, and or on the phone with his service manager. At one point when he realized he couldn't solve the problem. I found him laughing loudly talking to himself about not being able to solve the problem. Tools, parts, and instructions were scattered, and both van doors were open, showing a messy heap inside. At one point he asked me if I had any O ring lubricant. When I went to check on him an hour later, I noticed that the electrical tester was out, although there was nothing wrong with the electrical. When I asked him about this, he confessed that he had turned off the breaker and was unable to reset it. He left shortly thereafter, with the job unfinished and no power to the tub. I was able to restore the power easily by resetting the GFCI breaker. The next day when I went into the store to tell the manager that I was able to restore the power, he went ballistic on me, slammed his fist on the counter and started screaming at the top of his lungs about what a terrible customer I was, I lived too far away, how he should have declared my hot tub DOA months ago and on and on. The guy screaming at me from behind the counter was so angry and so obese that I honestly thought that this unprecedented meltdown would cause a heart attack or stroke. I was too gob smacked to even respond. As I was slinking out the door, he was still screaming that I wouldn't find any other place in the area that provided better service or was less expensive. I guess you do get what you pay for. However, the reality is that there are Affordable Spa Services just across the river in Springfield. Avoid this business!
