I've been a customer of RTW for many years during the time when DC was the manager. But then there was a manager change. Basically, I stopped taking my cars to the shop and moved my need for service. Out of curiosity, I called to see if the manager after DC was still around. To my pleasant surprise, DC had returned as manager. As of today, I'm resuming my car service needs to RTW! If you want personal and professional auto service, RTW is the best shop in town... Keep up the good work DC and team!

    Plug repair

Wow, didn't know shops like this still existed! Walked in because the tire shop adjacent couldn't repair my near new tire. The gentleman (DC?) said he would try to have it repaired for me but couldn't make any guarantees since the screw was fairly close to the sidewall. He proceeded to explain the pros and cons of patch vs plug and said the worst that could happen was that the plug doesn't work and I'll have to buy a new tire. Enrique pulled the tire, plugged it, and reinstalled in a matter of minutes. When I went in to talk to DC and pay, he said there was no charge. I mean seriously?!? All he said afterward was, "Just come in and see me when you need new tires." I thanked him, and a few days later the tires is still holding up well, fingers crossed. Thank you RTW!

Mounting aggressive tires on fresh wheels always makes you a little nervous -- especially with a setup like this -- but they handled everything with care and precision. No scratches, clean weights, and the balance is smooth at highway speeds. The alignment is spot on. Truck tracks straight, steering wheel is perfectly centered, and it drives tight without any wander. With Kings on the truck, alignment matters, and they clearly know what they're doing. Professional, detail-oriented, and no shortcuts. If you're running a dialed Tacoma setup and want it done right the first time, this is the place. Will definitely be back.

My only concern was the wheel balancing for all 4 wheels and the 4 wheel alignment. The free wheel balancing was okay, but the ride was a but bit rough, especially at high speeds. The 4 wheel alignment was also okay because I saw the tech person pull it out of the stall and parked the car. He did not do a test drive. My Bimmer drove okay, but it didn't track. So I wasn't confident that the wheel alignment was properly done. I recently remedied the concerns by having the 4 wheels rebalanced and had a 4 wheel precision alignment done at another shop. Now my Bimmer tracks and rides really smooth... For tires purchase, this place is great.. But for tire services, from my experience, I would recommend to go somewhere else...

Anyone who knows me knows thats "the end of the world".....so I had to get rid of them eyesores ASAP. Anyway, they responded to my inquiry right away and provided a quote after I sent some photos. Price was reasonable...$255 for 2 wheels~normally $160 for one. They gave me a mini discount because my second wheel was not too bad. Guy came out and was flexible enough to meet me on some random street near where I was volunteering at. So basically while I volunteered, he fixed my wheels...talk about multitasking lol. When my wheels were done he texted me~maybe took an hour or two? Now let me tell you~my wheels were back to their original look...couldn't even tell where the damage was! They did a great job. Would not hesitate to use them again! Cheap & efficient!

It took them 3 full days to get back to me radio silence until Thursday afternoon around 4:45 PM. Then, out of nowhere, they demanded a deposit within 15 minutes (had to pay by 5:00 PM that same day) or I'd lose my appointment slot for Friday. I was stuck in rush-hour traffic in Los Angeles no way I could handle that on the spot without risking everything. You make a potential customer wait 3 full days for a response, then hit them with an impossible 15-minute ultimatum during peak traffic hours? That's not customer service; that's pure arrogance. They used the $50 deposit to lose a customer instead of giving time or more options to pay since I waited 3 full days to even be contacted. You don't build long-term value by treating people like this. You make your money from repeat business and referrals, not one rushed sale that alienates everyone. All this did was guarantee I'll never come back and actively pushed me straight to your competitor, which turned out to be a way better experience. He was responsive, professional, no pressure tactics. All anyone has to do is look on Yelp: the guy who is second with 718 five-star reviews is the one to go to. There's a reason you multiple accounts with reviews: the inconsistency shows. One bad interaction like this costs you a customer forever and now a negative review that future people will see. How you treat people matters just as much as (if not more than) the product or service. This experience screamed "we don't value you until you pay," and it backfired spectacularly. I wouldn't choose this brand even if the work was top-tier. Think hard about pushing rushed deposits on people you've barely spoken to, reviews matter, and this one is loud. 1/5 stars. Steer clear if you value basic respect, reasonable communication, and some flexibility after making customers wait days.

So now 15 minutes in and still haven't written it up or asked for my keys. I'm here for a rotation and balance so I don't expect it to take long. I'm on lunch and can't really be here for over an hour. He told me they should be able to get me out by 115. If they can do that , I will be happy. Right now though, I'm not all that happy since it feels like they burned 15 minutes of my time. By 1245 they have called me and measured my tread depth. This is little peeve of mine and it reminds me of a bigger one. No longer am I given the piece of paper that tells me what my tread depth was. What is the point then? If my tires are wearing unevenly, it would be nice to know about it and even better to know which tire. One of them was less than the others. Wearing faster. No idea which one and the receipt is worthless as it doesn't have that info. My bigger peeve is that when I had the tires installed I asked if they could tell me how much brake pad was left. Actually my girl was with the car and I asked her to ask them. She said they told her they can't do that. When I got there she and another customer told me it was due to liability. Now I didn't ask for them to make a judgement call on whether or not the brakes were good or bad or could go X miles. I just literally wanted a estimate measurement. The other customer coukdnt understand why I didn't want to accept the liability excuse and made sweeping statements about the trouble they could in. Let me make this part crystal clear for the sites and for the corporate lawyers. Ask yourself how much money you'll be liable for the day you refuse to tell a customer his brake pads were looking pretty slim, or let's say a couple mm left, and that person ends up dead or killing someone else 3 days later due to not stopping in time or some type of brake failure? They will sue and they will win stating that any reasonable technician would have recognized how dangerously worn the brake pads were and you refused to inform the customer, whether or not it's your business. So if that's policy to not say anything, I'd really rethink that. Seems like the liability is with not telling them. You tell them, you've done what would be reasonable. You refuse and you are opening yourself up to be cast as the next bad guy in court. So easily. They will crucify you. Think about it, corporate lawyer people. That's all I'm going to say on that. My car was done by 115. Guys at this store working in the bays showed a lot of hustle and cooperation. An exemplary crew of technicians. The service writer guys were good once they got to me but they would do well to achnowledge people when they walk in to let them know they are seen and will be helped soon. Can't ask for much better on a free service. Still would be nice to know those tread depths since you took the time to measure and all....

It's been quite awhile since I've been here since I've been driving less and I also purchased a new vehicle, so I haven't had to get any new tires. The management seems to have changed since I didn't see the familiar faces. I have since come here twice in the past two months, unfortunately because I like driving on nails. Parking is a challenge because they're so busy, but I can find parking down the street - it's just a bit of a walk. On my first visit, my tire could not be patched but helped me make an order for the tire with a deposit. I ended up getting it replaced at the dealership because I wanted it done sooner if I could. I informed America's Tire and they refunded me my deposit. On my second visit, my tire could be patched (thankfully!). I was helped quickly and I was in and in 30 minutes. This is the type of service that I have always appreciated. In both cases, I had made an appointment. Shout out to Norman. It was nice seeing you, but I hope I don't have to see you again for another 13,000 miles.

The owner of the best and most respected body shop in West LA, commented to me that he is never seen this level of detail at any other shop on the westside. It is well worth the drive to have your ride customized properly. And I promise you you will pay less than any place on the westside as well.
