Today I went shooting with some friends and what a great experience. From creating a profile, checking in and selecting a gun , to the safety officer on the line. People friendly staff with a lot of patience. It was my first time handling a gun , and you wouldn't have known it. Learned so much in a short time. An extremely clean facility and very well organized. The firearms we chose were the Glock 17 and a 1911. What a difference between calibers. I can't wait to go again. First time coming here. What I can say is this range is top of the line. Very well done place. Very popular so the wait to get a lane was over 2 hours but was worth the wait. The range safety officers were very nice and helpful. Prices competitive. For 10 dollars you get some nice over the ears and safety glasses. Very good deal. Appreciate the time and fun. Went here for my first gun purchase. Nice building. Well organized. I did not purchase my gun here. The sales person seem more interested up selling then assisting me. I had a certain model in mind but instead of assistance he said that gun was bad and if I want to go within my price range a rock would be better. So after that experience we just left. Also they did not have a lot of guns out. Maybe they have a lot of sales due to there location. Went to there sister store and the experience was night and day. read more

Today was such an amazing liberating girls day because we decided to go to our first shooting range. Upon arrival all staff was so kind and attentive. James (our instructor) was such an amazing instructor. He saw we was extremely nervous but his sense of humor and patience was exactly what we needed to become comfortable. Even though we asked a million and one questions, he answered our a million and two questions. We will definitely be back in the upcoming weeks and I hope James become promoted because he deserves it! Nice location; beats going to their Randolph facility. Great ranges and sales area. They take care of the members before Joe Public. My family and I took a gun safety class and were lucky enough to have Jorge as our instructor. He was extremely well spoken and explained everything from gun safety to handling the gun in great detail. Being an inexperienced shooter, Jorge gave me the confidence and tools to be able to not only load the gun but to shoot with accuracy. His guidance and tips while on the range were so incredibly helpful. Jorge is truly an asset to the RTSP team. I went here on my day off thinking that it wouldn't be as crowded. The place is very nice, clean and modern. They didn't have to many supplies within the store part of it. I did get a good feel when I went in and everyone was very nice and personable. Inside the gun lanes it was a little tight and made me feel a little uncomfortable because it was very crowded. I really hate the guys that come in all cocky but I guess that goes with the territory. Overall I like it but it does get crowded and a lil tight. Range instructors r on top of things in the range area. They r there to help u become a better and more important a safe shooter. They help anyway they can, accomplished everything I needed to get done with there help from asking me if I need a rifle rest to getting me a stool to sit in. This place is 5 stars. read more

If I could give this range 6 stars I would. Went with my girlfriend who never shot before and I only once before, and we could not have had a better time. First off the staff is INCREDIBLE and extremely friendly. We went with handgun and also a rifle to shoot as well, 5-6 boxes of ammo, targets and honestly the best range/gun instructor we could have ever asked for. His name was "Lucky" and this guy was A1, taught us everything to properly load/reload, hold the handgun and rifle the best way, proper stance, shoot and handle each gun the best possible way! All in all we had the best day of shooting at this range and will 100% be coming back. I cannot say enough about this range, simply the best. read more

I want to thank RSO Melissa and Jackie for their outstanding help today. During my time on the line today, I asked Melissa questions on my technique while trying to correct some issues I was having. The guidance she gave really helped with tightening my shot grouping and allowing me to hit center mass beyond my normal range. Also, part of the reason why I became a member today was due to the great help I received from Jackie. Her level of professionalism while handling some very "testy" people today was impressive. She was able to keep her calm, provide me with the information I needed between customers to help me make my decision. I became a new gun owner over the past year. Taking this very seriously, I signed up for training at RTSP Range. (Prior to the training, I also viewed tons of helpful YouTube videos.) Once at RTSP, I found the trainer to be extremely helpful in promoting necessary gun safety, while also providing me with extremely helpful training tips. Following that, I paid for a membership, allowing me free access to the range for a year. I've been practicing at their Union location, and love it! They also have a Randolph location... both are immaculate, and have great shops for ammo, accessories, etc. (Members get discounts on all purchases.) Thanks to the training (and weekly practice), I've found I have a definite skill with firearms... based on my results, and comparisons to various training programs, I already qualify as a marksman. The people at RTSP have been a major contributing factor. The folks behind the desk are extremely friendly, and go the extra mile with any questions. Their safety rangers are very helpful, and always promote a safe experience at all times. Salespeople are completely informed and polite. And finally, their head gunsmith is amazing; he has helped me a couple times with gun issues that arose, and is super-friendly! This is a heads up to all who are interested in becoming a member! Last week I paid to become a member after shooting here for a few weeks with friends and alone. This week as I received my membership card. I was told that since I do not have a Firearms I. D. Card I can not use the range by my self. If you are thinking about becoming a member I think that RTSP should advise you of this police before they take your money! read more

Loved this place! For a first timer they def made you feel comfortable. We had Milton as our safety/training officer. Place was super clean and professional. Milton was super knowledgeable and safety was number one! He was super helpful and kept an eye on us to make sure that we were having fun but also safe! RTSP is an organized, modern, well equipped shooting range. It's my second year being a member. I couldn't be more pleased with the facilities and staff. The RTSP team are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about the range safety officers Mike, Vinny, Tom, and George. In addition, RTSP's offers practical training. I attended a "draw from holster" class lead by RSO Mike Luzzo. His training method is clear and "to the point". His emphasis on safety and repetition of steps has helped bring me up to speed on the proper way to draw. It's added a new dimension to my shooting experience. Been here twice w the guys and this is definitely one of the cleanest indoor range i've been to. The people here are super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a bunch of awesome items such as holsters, clothing, any tactical gear you can think of. They also have coffee and some snacks. They sell a variety of firearms and the staff are so knowledgeable, definitely nice to consult and chat w them to learn a thing or two. Came here a few times in the last months at first not knowing with type of firearm I was in the market for . All I knew is that I wanted a pistol with an external safety. After receiving help and advice from the workers here I went back home to the drawing board,did some research, went to the gun range and realized I didn't exactly need a external safety to feel "safe ". I felt really comfortable handling a Glock 43 but the only issue was the capacity . I looked on YouTube and saw that Glock released a 43x with 10+1 capacity and I was sold !! I called a few places to see if they had it in stock and RTsP told me they had one available . I threw on my clothes and literally flew there (with my fairy wings of course ). I believe Pat helped me out and started my purchase and I am soooo excited. I discovered this place after seeing it on Groupon. I was super nervous, the staff are nice and very knowledgeable of all the firearms. After you arrive you must watch a instructional video and sign a waiver. I spent about $100 bucks to shoot a Glock9 with two boxes of bullets, targets,ear and eye protection for two ppl. My friend and I went to the RTSP in Union last week. It was our first time at a shooting range and can confidently say it was an amazing and fun experience. The staff really makes you feel comfortable and explains things to you very well. If it is your first time, you need to watch a 7-10 minute video explaining the basics and you need to sign certain forms on their iPads. Prices range anywhere from $80-100. You need to come with at least one other person to the shooting range. We had Brandon and Briana as our instructors. They were such a good time and so sweet! This place is beautiful and very professional. All the rangers are super friendly but practice saftey to the highest quality. We had a ranger named "LUCKY", and boy were we lucky to have him show us the proper techniques and safety precautions. I went with 2 other ladies, all our 1st time and he made us feel at ease, he was super motivated and by the time we were ready to shoot we were doing so well, he and the other rangers were impress with our shots. " Lucky"was charming, and really put us at ease. But make no mistake, he would point out to you immediately if you aren't practicing safety 1st. 4 months ago I related one of the worst experience here in Union RTSP range. Today 2/12/21 I returned to RTSP in Union NJ to try out their firing range. I have to say that the staff was very professional and helpful to my needs. I was explained the process and advised to review the safety procedures, and rules of the range. I found the range safety officer to be on point and assertive to the needs of each and every person on their designated firing lane. I give RTSP in Union a 5 star rating for their service and commitment to range safety. I must also comment on the timely response from Brian who requested that I come in and speak with him, but due to Covid guidelines I was unable to address the prior complaint which no longer an issue with me, Thank you. read more

First time at a gun range in jersey since acquiring my firearms license. Came on a Friday at 5 pm and the place was not crowded which was nice. I think the management could use a better approach with assigning bays as the area does get a bit tight with groups of 3 being right beside each other. Other than that I would be coming back and will maybe consider a membership for the year as I shop around. read more

Great place to go, my friend and I came today and where very impressed by the level of class this place had. We both came to practice our skills and have a great time, we both aren't first time shooter however this my first time at this range. The prices are fair for range passes and the staff is friendly. I had 2 issues one being my fault though and the other being kinda knit picky by a range officer. I understand the level of security that needs to be taken at the range so on both accounts they where mistakes that I will be more coherent of next time. They have a lot of product in stock and prices on firearms and gear where also up to par with some places I have seen. All in the place is one of the best I have been to in a while. read more

I came in on 10/25 in response to an email showing shotguns that were on sale. I wanted to try one out before purchasing it. I spent $105 just to test the gun. I decided to purchase it. Afterwards I realized that I had a coupon for a free rental ($25 value). I asked if they would honor it after the fact or give me a credit. The store manager refused. They would only offer a future free rental. Not very useful to me since I only rented because I was considering a purchase. I don't think the resolution was very customer friendly. This was my 1st gun purchase at RTSP. I am a LEO and ride with a local moto-touring club. Extending a courtesy could have made for a happy customer and a happy story. Too bad that does not seem to be important to RTSP. read more

I wish I could upload a video to show you guys. But I had such a good time here. The staff is so friendly and ready to help you at any point. Ou can bring your own ammo if you have a gun or rent on site. We had such a great experience with the staff helping when the gun got jammed. They even watched my form and the staff was able to let me know how I could improve my shot and stance giving really great advice. The lanes were socially distances and spaced out making me feel really safe. The ammo is a little expensive but that is expected. You do have the option to bring your own as well. They have so many different types of targets as well. I love that they had zombie options which were fun. I would recommend and will be coming back. We did bring our own firearm so I am not sure how the rentals work. The staff is friendly they are there to answer all your questions. When purchasing a firearm they are also super helpful with seeing exactly what works for you and answer all your questions and never make you feel rushed or pressure to purchase. Which is important I don't like feeling rushed. Anything you need you can find right there from firearms, ammo, cases, cleaning sets etc. thanks for making my experience awesome you will be seeing more of me and my family. read more
