Went to RTSP Randolph as always to do my RPO qualification for my carry renewal. Rich was my instructor again and he's great. Informative, helpful, fair and professional. Thanks RTSP & thanks Rich for making it a stress free visit ! read more

RTSP - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Randolph, New Jersey

Lots of inventory but oriented yo police, service items, not high end pieces, e.g., no Staccatto, very few HK last time I visited

I am a past member of RTSP and always appreciate their ongoing excellent customer service of their sales and front counter staff. The have been reliably consistent in maintaining the high quality of their two gun ranges in both Randolph and Union. They are always clean and well run, allowing for a fun and safe time spent practicing one's shooting technique. I also highly recommend their training classes. read more

The OG RTSP. Good, clean range. Friendly staff, attentive RSO's. No attitudes/ego/arrogance that usually is attached to some involved in the 2A industry. They offer 1/2 port rentals. Plethora of firearms available to purchase in their store. Greatly recommend stopping in at RTSP Randolph. You will definitely be returning after your first visit. read more

The gunsmith was very professional and thorough. He gave great advise with quick service at an affordable price.

Without a doubt the best indoor shooting range in the area covering everything from target practice to tactical training with safety being their most important priority. RTSP is really the total package when it comes to Firearms and everything related to them. This huge 35,000 square foot indoor facility consists of three main areas; the Training Facility, the Firearms Sales Area, and The Shooting Range & Rental Center where you'll find over 125 rentals available to try. The Range itself has 21 Ports and is always supported by several R.S.O.s [Range Safety Officers] who are always very helpful and knowledgeable.    At RTSP they welcome and support all levels of shooters from beginners to experts and I highly recommend them to anyone interested. I have gone to this range a few times and never had a bad experience, last night was hands down the best. I went to the range with a few friends, all who are new to shooting with handguns. After some initial struggles with accuracy, a range safety officer was very willing to give us some tips that drastically help improve that. Unfortunately, I was unable to get his name as he left our section of the range before our time was up. I asked the front desk staff and was given the name Anthony. Can't thank Anthony enough for sharing his knowledge and time, it made the whole experience so much more enjoyable and less intimidating. I can't recommend RTSP enough. read more

Way too overpriced. Maybe if you own a gun and bullets it's cool but this was way too expensive. Terrible service as well, they took our IDs and forgot to return them so now we have to drive back. Would not recommend, expensive and bad service read more

Instructor Xavier was extremely professional and had a lot of knowledge during my one on one class with him. The class was an amazing experience and I highly recommend Xavier for those looking to gain any experience with shooting and being safe/smart with various guns. The staff at RTSP in Randolph were also professional and helpful as well! read more

Did an intro to Pistols class with Juliet. She was amazing and would highly recommend. Felt very comfortable shooting at the latter end of the class and will certainly be back. Mike and Jordan at the counter were great also. read more

I signed up for a women's only class at the Randolph location, basic safety, my first step towards learning and obtaining a firearm. My instructor had my full attention because I was the only one who signed up, it was only her and I. I am puzzled as to the hostility. Inches from my face telling me, "This is NJ, you kill someone you're going to jail, do you get that." I replied, " I do, my daughter works for a prosecutor's office." She said, " good, well then your daughter is going to prosecute you.' That's just to mention one of the several comments that she made. I can fully understand letting people know all the rules and consequences but There was no reason for that behavior. She told me to get a membership for 400, I would have but to be spoken to like that, no thanks. read more

Went here with my boys. It was their first time shooting. Everyone who worked there was amazing. Will be coming back to shoot again! Highly recommend!! read more

Everyone was very friendly and service was quick. Electronic pads in each lane work better than most I've visited.

I was in the area and wanted to go shooting. I've heard good things about RTSP Randolph Shooting Range. They have other locations too. Upon arrival I had to go into a room where there is table and chairs along with a few kiosks and watch a short safety video and fill out paperwork. This is standard for anyone who goes to a shooting range. It's all about safety first. Afterwards, my brother and my bf paid for extra ammo and to rent a space for an hour. On the weekends this place gets crazy busy. Originally, we were going to have to wait 45 minutes but somebody got off the range and we were able to get in right away. Unlike the Flemington shooting range there is no private room to get set up and put on your goggles, headphones and get ready to enter the shooting range area. Once inside, you go to your designated spot. We all took turns shooting. There are several very well trained staff walking around making suggestions, and keeping everyone safe. They even helped a group of ladies who were celebrating a birthday party there. There was always an instructor helping out and walking them through step by step. In the main lobby there's all kinds of Merch for sale along with guns, and equipment. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There's plenty of free parking. I recommend giving them a try read more

The RTSP facility is impressive and the staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. RTSP deserves high praise for their obsessive focus on firearm safety! The sales team is very helpful and willing to take their time to explain the pros/cons of various firearm choices. I recently scheduled a one-hour training session on the shooting range and would like to extend a special thanks to Kim and Lee for their kind assistance with the scheduling process. My instructor, Sam, was knowledgeable, extremely patient, professional, and offered me much appreciated coaching on how to improve my shooting technique. During our session, I had the opportunity to try out three different handguns allowing me to make an informed decision on the two that I felt most comfortable shooting with and will ultimately purchase. With my newly instilled confidence and experience that Sam imparted to me, I look forward to returning to the range with my new guns and further training sessions with him to fine-tune my shooting skills. read more

My Dad and I took a refresher pistol 1-hour lesson with Rhi. She was patient, informative, and clear about all tips and safety aspects for handling the firearm and range protocol. Highly recommend her! She helped me narrow down my preference of brand and type. She also assisted with my decision to purchase a 9mm. Sean Smith and Sean Berberian processed the paperwork. Very competitive pricing. All interactions with staff was superb. The RSOs were excellent as well. GM Amanda J was my first point of contact. We talked about my goals and which course I needed to acheive them. Mission accomplished! read more

Great staff super friendly and knowledgeable and amazing range. My favorite range in north jersey

Hi, my name is Nick C and I am posting this review for my wife and I. We are beginners and new gun owners and we've had Jorge as our instructor for two sessions. He was great! He explained every detail about gun safety, everything about our guns and was patient and kind while we were learning everything. He made us feel comfortable and safe and after two sessions, we now feel much more comfortable with our firearms and our ability to safely. Use them. We actually will be returning for one more refresher course with Jorge. Excellent instructor!! read more

I'm currently a member there and go there by myself or with friends all the time. I brought my 81-year-old father there for the first time and he had a great time - but it was so much better because of the great Anthony C. On his own - without me asking - Anthony helped me navigate him in a wheelchair, in and out and around the bay, It made the whole experience. Amazing. Thank you! I belong here for years and it is awesome. Ty Anthony!! (Rebecca and Amanda too)! read more

Took a 2-hour basic pistol course with Jorge at Randolph. I'd never used a pistol before and was anxious about using a firearm. Jorge was a great instructor in the classroom and on the range. In the classroom, Jorge was patient, thorough and explained things well. He welcomed a beginners questions with no judgement and was able to explain everything well. On the range, Jorge reinforced the classroom training and after moving on to my second magazine, I was hitting all around the bullseye consistently. I would highly recommend RTSP and especially Jorge as an instructor. read more

Love this place. Everyone is so helpful, especially if you are a beginner. They have everything you need and prices are reasonable.

I'm a semi regular here and appreciate the cleanliness, professionalism, and general vibe. I came with a group of new shooters, and the RO's were very helpful instructing and showing therm the ropes. I also recently completed the PTC course with Jorge. Again, showing how professional and approachable the staff are. Great job! read more

Just finished up a training course in Handgun Introduction and safety with Juliet Foster. Juliet was fantastic, positive and knowledgeable throughout the course. She was there to make us feel welcomed and as a part of the RTSP community. Big props to her! Loved the range and the staff that made the anxiety of trying out the sport wash away by being there with open arms. Thank you Juliet! read more

As a long-time member, I'm consistently impressed by the professional and dedicated staff at RTSP. I want to give a special shoutout to Pete, who always goes above and beyond to help with proper stance and techniques for shooting the right way. Thank you, Pete, and thank you, RTSP! read more

I went to RTSP in Randolph. Front desk staff were super friendly and the selection of guns to rent was awesome. The shooting experience itself however, left a lot to be desired. There were only two bays in use (myself and a friend, and one other person) and yet there were like 6 range safety attendants which was absolutely overkill. We felt like we were being crowded and watched by a hawk. There was only one staff member, a younger guy, who was polite. What was the most upsetting however, was when I was shooting an AR-15, the way I was approached. It's been about 5 years since the last time I shot one and I understand my form could use some correction. However when I was in the middle of shooting, and older gentleman came up to me and GRABBED THE GUN, jerked it closer to my head, and yelled at me how to hold it. I am absolutely appalled that not only would someone think it was appropriate to grab a person ACTIVELY SHOOTING A GUN, but the fact that it was a range safety officer no less. The person I went with has years experience with guns, ARs in particular, and he hadn't even gotten a chance to help me before this attendant ran up on me. with He could have tapped me on the shoulder or waited till I was done with the magazine, I welcome advice and correction. If I were being unsafe it would have been understandable but it was just my form. This was unacceptable and I would expect better training from the staff. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. I'd like to go back, but I really hope they work on their safety methods. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but this needs to be brought to attention. read more

Jorge never fails at providing top notch care and attention in his classes and training. After the initial training session I came back for the PTC course. Jorge was diligent, thorough and made me feel extremely comfortable and confident in my new level of security I am providing for myself and my family. I can't wait to bring family and friends back for training and firearm safety with Jorge. He's my firearm guru! read more

Facility seems fine. People that work there are arrogant, clicky and terse. Took a lesson. The instructor threatened to throw me off the range toward the end of it. Said he was an ex-cop and he acted like it. Too much attitude. Bad experience. Not going back. read more

Outstanding range with outstanding personnel. I've taken training / classes with Frank, Tommy and Matt...all of these guys are like the best NCOs you wish you had when (or if) you were in the military. Very knowledgeable, pace their training to all levels of trainees (beginner to expert) and great professional bearing in the classroom and on the range itself. On the sales side, Anthony is also notable. Not many guys that admit a love of shotguns when there are all the AR and AK variants out there, but he was great to work with when retrieving my Wilson Combat Scattergun. Great advice on ammunition, etc. I've been a member of this range for many years, but only recently starting taking advantage of the great training opportunities available. Next up: FAST classes, for sure. Keep up the good work, RTSP Mario read more

The two hour introduction class given by Jorge was exactly what I needed as a newbie. His instructions were clear and his feedback on the range tweaking both my stance and hand grip left me feeling 100% secure every time I shot. His overriding message of gun safety and his calm and patient demeanor has me certain that I will do some refresher lessons with him in the future. He made me laugh and smile and hearing the glee in his voice as he stood next to me and said aloud "bullseye" every time I hit a perfect shot made me want to become a member. Who wouldn't love that positive reinforcement??? Jorge is a delightful instructor. RTPS, RSO's and the entire staff have made each visit an exceptional experience. read more

Went for my PTC compete course. Jorge and Sam were top notch. While this is a serious endeavor they really made it comfortable and zero stress. They treated all participants with respect. It was such an easy process. I have to say at first I was skeptical as the cost is significant, but they will really ensure you are all set from the training and qual aspect of the law. The facility is always well kept and most of the RSOs are nice and professional. I don't recommend civilian ranges and courses much, but this place has become one of the best. read more

First gun purchase. This place is good. Staff was friendly and listen to me. Answered questions and I was able to make my first purchase. Gun range is nice. This place is way smaller then the union location, but the gun selection was good. The rso where friendly. There was an rso an older gentleman I did not get his name but he was the best he chatted with us helped my son with an AR and after his help my son was shooting the target perfectly. I would highly recommend this place for your first gun purchase. This place is 45 mins from my home but I will definitely be returning from time to time. read more
